I made a littel plastic lens from old 3D glasses and put in on the camera. The T1 This will make sure your camera isn't over exposed bij the TV light or the lights from windows. This makes the colours more natural. I never get it perfect but 70 -80% of the colours is working great.
I have a G1 pro and had to install the strip upside down on my TV. Ive been having the hardest time getting accurate colors because of that. Any tips for this kind of installation? By the looks of it, this was designed for PC monitors not TV's but I hope there is something I can do to adjust
how do you make it where if there is no color detected on the screen the led light is just dark, whenever my screen is black it turns to a standby blue or white and i’d prefer it to be dark so i actually looks like the colors are reaching out through sides of the tv.
if it's blue, then it's usually a sign of over saturation, white but dimmer would be a closer representation but the white should also dim down, there is usually some kind of light emitted
How do I solve the problem that the camera detects red, it is very annoying, I have already configured it several times, in completely dark light and changing the white balance and saturation, at first it is fine but later when there are high brightness scenes The base red color returns, and then the rest of the colors, I've had the T1 for a year and I only had to configure it once, with the orange pads it comes with and with light, but yesterday this problem started and I can't solve it. Do you know any way to fix it pelase?
High reds/blue is usually a sign of over saturation or a room that lit in a way the camera is getting confused with the colour aspects. for me it was almost always a combination of both and sometimes Govee App updates can knock your settings out of sync - There's a test screen further in my channel so you don't have to stick the foam on your screen and re-calibrate a few times - I tend to calibrate in as much total darkness as possible
it does sometimes have a bit of lag, I assume that you have the latest version of the app? I would perhaps email Govee through the app they maybe able to identify if it's a defective product and potentially activate the rapid replacement system they have and get a new one out to you
This seems to be a very common issue. I just got my T2 yesterday and had this issue, until I unfolded my Z Fold 3 and switched to landscape view. I've also heard of people having to use different devices to get through this step. Best of luck!
I just got the Govee T2.and put it on the my 85"....samsung...I could not for the life of me connect the bluetooth to my phone...I reinstalled the app...unplug the T2 and tried 15 mins later....what worked was ...I took the T2 module off the back of the TV and stuck it to the TV frame stand and it worked...It looks like I got interferance off the back off the TV to prevent the bluetooth from connecting. Just a heads up
My t2 kit is on it's way, watching the vidmade me realise something to ask - how does it manage with black bars top & bottom for movies etc? Does the calibration just read them as dead zones and not do anything? I see in your movie clip the lights react to the content instead of the black bars - did you calibrate it like this or is the system smart enough to adjust? Thanks!
This is a good question and I had not really thought about it until you asked. I’m watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 now and there’s no issues with the black bars. Colour comes though fine. 👍
1:Check that you are using a 2.4GHZ connection on your router, sometimes you have to split your router connections into 5 and 2 ghz via the SSD channel 2: Give the lights a reset First, you will need to power up the lights and then use the control box. Press in and hold the power button. While you are doing this, you will also need to press on the middle button a total of 4 times. Once that is done, you just have to leave it do its thing for a while. This will take about 10 minutes to complete. After it is done, all that remains is to attempt to hook it up to your Wi-Fi again. 3: if all that fails contact Govee support via the app, the have a rapid replacement team that are very good at resolving issues. Good luck and let us know if anything worked :)

Tunning in the dark is quite the opposite of the app tells you, this seems a bit counterintuitive and I wonder what happens once you have a bright room again.
I'm just advising what has worked better for me over the last 4 years of using these systems. believe me I have calibrated hundreds and hundreds of times
@@brobovick I found any additional light in the room just messed with the setup, but complete darkness worked better, I think it's because you are asking the camera to only identify the white of the screen, which in theory should make the other colours easier to identify across the spectrum. a lot of guess work though :)
The app also tells you to keep your TV off and stick on the orange squares. It tells you to have your lights on, because otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see the orange squares. This clearly isn't necessary if your television is on and the screen is creating the squares for you.
i bought these after watching your video other day and i cant seem get the tv showing up on the app keeps failing any advice and my wifi saying im on 2.4 and 5
Try holding the power button on the light controller down for 5 seconds this should reset the unit (will flash) I think the lights only work on 2.5 so make sure you can select the right frequency. If you still have no luck reach out to Govee tech on the app and they will help or provide a replacement :)
By calibrate do you mean just calibrating the camera to cover the screen size or is there a process for actually calibrating colors? Mine will be here tomorrow.
mainly colours, if you calibrate incorrectly you will not get the right colour displaying, most of the tweaking will be in the saturation dial, but it needs to be screen calibrated (camera/screen) in the correct environment first.
@@ourtwotube what do you mean by camera screen calibrated? I'm only seeing white balance, saturation, relative brightness and brightness. Also do you know what the difference between relative brightness and brightness is?
@@tac6044 So when you calibrate the camera via your smartphone (screen) you need to have the right conditions dark room, no other lights and the calibration screen as linked in the video description, this will help get accurate colour. Brightness is the overall brightness of the LEDs - relative brightness you can make certain segments of your lightstrip lower - eg if you set main brightness to 60% and the relative to 50% that segment will show at 30% brightness - I don't bother with relative though
I have saturation at around 3% and the WB just edging on the light red - each setup or space will prob need a slightly different tweak dependant on your space, if you get the mail calibration correct the tweaks should help things fall into place.
I believe the newer models do that when you turn your TV off, mine is first gen so no. When the screen is dark the do dim right down with a slight white effect which is cool
