Track 2 from their 2013 album: Hail To the King
This album was pretty awesome, I remember listening and thinking, wow that's a different direction. More straight to the point rock/ Metal. Which was pretty cool. NOW.. For this song, I had the isolated tracks without drums... So I added my own and changed up sections that I though needed a bit more uniformity...
The Pre-chorus, Changed.
The Solo... Changed.
a few fills and cymbal accents.. Changed.
I hope you like what I did, It just flows a bit better in my opinion. The original drum track was arguably all over the place in terms of cymbals and fills. If you disagree, go take a listen and try to learn it note for note. You'll see what I mean. Also 100% No disrespect to Arin Ilejay, the guy is a monster! I just wanted to do something different.

I typically learn by ear, then I play the song over and over and over again until I have all the small parts memorized. I spend days studying before recording. But in all honestly, Ive listened to these songs and albums for YEARS! So that really helps!
In terms of learning, I'd recommend just picking out the main beats, and not worrying too much about all the fancy fills and such. Keep it simple and have fun, eventually the rest will come once you have a good base down :)
