Would love to see a similar video showing how the Majesty's are made. Just got my Bali Blue Burst BFR 3 days ago and LOVE IT! would be interesting also to see the process from being made to how you get JP to sign the backplates.
I finally saved enough to buy myself one of your amazing instruments! I'm picking up a Luke 3 soon =) Cheers and Happy New Year to your amazing craftsmen!
Interesting presentation how the guys around Billy Imperial produce this nice instruments. Beside my Luke the Armada would be the next MM guitar to get. Also wasn’t so positive before I could have an Armada in my hands. Great Instrument, sustain similar to my Firebirds, anyhow totally different but great. To all the complainers, get it in your hands, plug it in.........
Because it's got a Tune O Matic Bridge, you can only make a parallel neck if you're using Trems or Fixed Bridges like on an Axis Super Sport. The Tune O Matic is higher so you need to compensate that with the Neck Angle.
Who cares if the wood is "wasted" as long as the trees they use are replanted? With the method they're using for building, they're saving more in production time than they're spending on material costs. It probably is the most efficient way to build the design they came up with.
+locomotivebrain Yes. Exactly. The shape is great. The V a distraction (to me).... To own a guitar build so well by CNC and then crafted/setup by a true technician. Nice. It's great Musicman is doing new shapes. And neckthru is awesome.
Sure. Just no accent nor plastic edge around. We all love woman's curves. No problem. But when they accentuate women's monthly issues... .....nope... ••••no pantyliner••••
I understood dick all while watching the video. Then again, I'm not a Luthier/Guitar Builder. I'd definitely like to learn to make guitars so I can make my own that fit my need. :(.
I love guitar build videos. but why is the music always complete and utter garbage? I chewed my own arm off watching this, just in case I ever decide to play anything like it.
The music was by Steve Morse who is an endorsed Music Man/Ernie Ball artist. Also, the bass player on the track was Dave LaRue was is also an endorsed artist. Look them up, check out their other stuff. If you don't like it, that's ok. Enjoy!
You probably play something from rondo music. Have fun with your agile there guy. These are instruments for people who know how to play more than 3 chords.
Xerxes Belial He is right. These Music-Man instruments are insanely overpriced. You can get a better American 100% custom Carvin for half the price. And this "Ernie Ball Family" also have their instruments built by slaves in China.
Carvin do make pretty nice guitars. I think you're referring to the Sterling by Music Man line, and I'm positive that they are made in Indonesia. The Ball Family Reserve line is made in San Luis Obispo. To say that something is junk because a CNC machine is used for certain parts of the process is ridiculous. I don't understand how they are overpriced, I bought my silhouette special for $1300, that's really not that expensive. It's just personal preference. Music Man and G&L have always been good to me.
Xerxes Belial Yes, I was referring to the Sterling slave-made guitars. Well, I liked a guitar of theirs, the Silhouette gold roller and that is $2700. That's about twice the price the guitar's worth. Instead, I've got a USA made Carvin Bolt Plus fully customized for my taste, a gorgeous tweed case and a guitar stand, all for $1200. I gotta tell you, it's my dream guitar and I won't ever need anything else(unless it gets stolen and I would buy another one). Now that's what I call a true American guitar company. Down with Fender, PRS, Gibson and so on. Slave made overpriced bloodstained products
+Lions make you brave lmao clown, for the options here, even a "bolt" will be 1700$. With a "California Carve" model, youre well over 3000$ with a carvin, usually over 4000. Just because you like your carvin (good for you) doesn't mean another guitar isn't "worth it". My Ibanez RG550 I got for 300$ is far better value for money than your 1200$ bolt if you wanna go that route.
Love seeing how my fantastic, beautiful, bad ass, Armada was made! Thank you!
It's pleasing to see that some things are still done by hand!
There is only one word that comes to mind...SSSSSAAAAAWWWEEEETTTT!!!
Always a pleasure to watch!
Would love to see a similar video showing how the Majesty's are made. Just got my Bali Blue Burst BFR 3 days ago and LOVE IT! would be interesting also to see the process from being made to how you get JP to sign the backplates.
that was sick! thanks for sending that to my mom uncle biffer, really cool stuff!
Looks awesome!
beautiful work; game changer under the hood perhaps?
I finally saved enough to buy myself one of your amazing instruments! I'm picking up a Luke 3 soon =) Cheers and Happy New Year to your amazing craftsmen!
hand crafted.
The song is Brink of the Edge, rather than blink as mentioned below. It's on the Steve Morse Band album, Outstanding in Their Field.
Awesome!..

At first I tought it was John Petrucci playing but it's Steve Morse... Yet John's greatest influence is Steve!
Damn, I want one!
Oh shit my uncle is in this video lmfao
cool
Amo los MUSICMAN ! !

nice pi tattoo
Im gonna try to make this in woodshop...wish me luck :D
0 bolts - perfect alignment with no shifting :)
Oh, hi there Sean!
Quote from the website Music Man: "Neck Attachment:5 bolts - perfect alignment with no shifting"
Ha,yeah i know, got 3 years under my belt, trying it out my 4th year of woodshop, lets see if i can do it!
Such a wasteful way of making a guitar! How much wood did they rout away into dust?
My thoughts exactly.
+TheNathanRuckus Hand made's can be even more wasteful

goes to home depo for winter fuel
Agreed! It's not like the stuff grows on trees!
The neck pickup used on the guitar in the song sounds like a dimarzio liquifire!
Steve Morse Blink of the Edge! :D
WOW
I'd love a version without the backwards V lining. Just leave everything else the same and I would be a proud owner!!

I'll do the same! Hope MM is succesfull with their amps too. The new HD series rock!
Not yet. I'll take a look. Thank you for reaching out!
They do scream quality. I'll give musicman that. They have allways mastered quality control. So it seems to me.
Solo sounds like it is played by Steve Morse. The vibrato and picking is so distinctly his style.
Or someone that stole his style. Like Travis Larson
Do CNC machines ever have router chipout? If not why.
Steve Morse is FUNKY! Like Eddie Van Halen,
woooooooooooooooooooooooooow
Read the "Neck Attachment" on the website of Music Man :)
What is the guitar shape!? That doesn't look like Albert Lee model! o.0
By the way... is this video sped up?
I understood dick all while watching the video. Then again, I'm not a Luthier/Guitar Builder.
I'd definitely like to learn to make guitars so I can make my own that fit my need. :(.
GOOD FRKN LUCK..
Por qué están tan caros sus bajos 😣😣😔😔😔😔 me encantan pero están muy lejos de mi alcance 😔
God save the C.N.C.
That Pi tattoo confuses me =.=
All this fanciness, yet he refused to build a bass with at least an 18-19 inch spacing. It's really odd.
I love guitar build videos. but why is the music always complete and utter garbage? I chewed my own arm off watching this, just in case I ever decide to play anything like it.
You must like metal garbage

Steve Morse.....utter garbage???
Don't have to be a guitar player to appreciate great guitar playing
not a neck through...but still fun to watch
Yes it is.. What are you talking about?
missed it...went by too fast...
3:12 wut
Pi tattoo
CNC-Scheiß!
Cnc machines are so boring to watch.
CNC overpriced garbage. *yawn*
