Christine seeks out the vandals, and smashes Buddy’s (William Ostrander) car before his eyes. She triggers a gas station explosion that kills two of his band and sets the car on fire, and finally runs down and kills Buddy. After, the badly burned Christine returns to Darnell's (Robert Prosky from The Natural) garage.

What’s the Christine movie about?
Arnie Cunningham (Keith Gordon), a shy teenager, is the whipping boy for Buddy (William Ostrander) and his gang, high school bullies who consider him a failure. One day, Arnie falls under the spell of a 1958 Plymouth Fury car in very poor condition, red and grey, named "Christine". He buys it and restores it in the garage where he works in the evenings after school. Arnie then begins to change his personality, becoming more self-confident. He even goes so far as to invite the prettiest girl in school, Leigh (Alexandra Paul). But Christine, who turns out to have a clean life and supernatural powers, reacts negatively to Arnie's girlfriend. She reacts even more violently when she is destroyed by Buddy and his gang. Reconstructing herself, Christine goes hunting for her vandals, which she kills one by one. She then goes after her only rival, Leigh, Arnie's friend.

Before the promethius meme of runnning away from things, there was Buddy, running away from Christine, in the middle of a road, surrounded by sand-covered dunes and rough 4WD terrain....
