Gas Station Explosion | Christine
Running down the middle of the road is always the best way to get away from a evil, possessed, flaming car! LOL
“I’m gonna make it! I’m gonna make it! Aaaaaaaargh! (blood gargle)
People in movies trying to escape on foot from cars or aircraft always run into the biggest, flattest area they can find. Not into a forest, over a ditch, etc. ...
Sure, that'll work (not!).
🤣🤣🤣
Right.
But this guy didn't know he was facing some evil, plus he was brainless so...running on the road must be coherent to him lol
This is one movie that can't be remade without stuffing it up. This movie is legendary and will live on as an absolute classic.
Blumhouse is remaking it, the script is already done. That's the studio that made the Conjuring, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Five Nights at Freddie's, and the Purge, amongst other things. Their track record is all over the place.
@@themidnighttavern6784 I hope they don't butcher the movie like they did with Five Nights lmao
@@braino64 I haven't seen the five nights at Freddie's movie, all I've heard is it's very good if you're a fan of the franchise, but mixed if you're going in relatively blind. All Blumhouse has said about the new Christine script is that "It's horny as hell".
@@themidnighttavern6784, where can I know more about this remake? It caught my interest already!
@@viniciusvalois2634 There isn't much known about it yet. It's being made by Blumhouse, and the front is finished, that's all we know basically.
😂 I love how Christine destroys Buddy’s car first, knowing he loves it. Kind of a double middle fingers move in return after the what he and his friends did in Darnell’s garage.
Oh great point. She takes it all personal and wanted to return the favor 😂
You have to appreciate that all the stunts were real, filming locations were real. There was no CGI in this movie, nothing shot on a fake set, no miniature models, the death scenes were not over the top
I showed this scene to my five year old nephew. Is that wrong? A few weeks later, he wanted to see "the car on fire" (his description). Not the Lego version either. I'm gonna be in trouble with his parents for showing him that.
There is a behind the scenes documents on the entire set up both the gas station explosion and the car. Pity the original theatrical release they never show the guy on the road, that shot is cut short.
@@sharonjensen3016 if you were my uncle, you'd be my favorite! 😅
During filming they actually killed the actors to make the death scenes more authentic.
@@jacobcg5489 Cannibal Holocaust 😃
The flaming car chasing and running down Buddy was literally the most amazing and awesome. Thing I have ever seen I just love that car 🚗
Younger viewers are wondering, "What the hell is a phone booth?"
Even though they are largely phased out, there is still one outside the main post office in my local town, and I think it is still working. This is in the UK though.
To this day I feel a sliver of anxiety when a bright ass pair of headlights are right on my bumper. I just pray I haven't knifed some nerds lunch recently.
Buddy didn't just become road kill he became well done road kill.
Chargrilled.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@sharonjensen3016 OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was a heel whom lost his sole.
Mmmmmm BBQ
This movie is a masterpiece 🙌
There are VERY FEW images more awe-inspiring than beholding a car rolling down the street...ON FIRE.
As Richard prior once said, "When you are on fire...PEOPLE GET OUT OF YOUR WAY!"
Moral of the story, don’t mess with someone’s yogurt
Or their pride and joy- their car.
Or their girlfriend... lol
I don't think it has anything to do with the yogurt anymore at this point! 😅
This will always be one of my favorite Stephen King movies!!!❤
3:35
Christine: Oh, yeah! Fire power!
Buddy’s panicked panting really reels in the fear
In the novel, Buddy's death is much more gruesome and terrifying.
@@mewtoo007 yeah I heard Arnie beats him bad in a fight in the novel
He got what he deserves, he just a total coward.
"Look at my car!" Well, Buddy, what can I say? You get what you give.
@@mewtoo007 Christine revenge of Buddy, Mocchie and your gang vagrancy
4:48 you can hear the car run over his body as he breathes his last breath🥶😱
WTF Christine?! I know you’re angry at those thugs for tormenting Arnie, but this time you’ve officially gone too far!
I mean, what did that poor, innocent Camaro ever do to your boyfriend?
I thought the same thing, leave the gen 1 cutie out of this mess!
She wanted to kill Buddy's woman.
She took no prisoners
It was revenge for trashing her what's a matter the Camaro can't fix itself oh that's right it's not possessed. One of them took a s*** on her dashboard.
@@sumthingwikked4257 Or witnesses.
He’s backing up, too.
Buddy sure has smart friends.
The Prometheus school of getting away from falling starships is going low tech.
Right here I believe Arnie was not present. He was most likely home. Christine was killing by herself.
If my girl wanted to go out on a revenge run I would insist on coming. Vengeance is a dish best shared by man and his woman
you see later after this scene in darnell’s garage that christine did do this in her own without arnie
I mean if the car is on fire and Arnie is inside, surely he would not survive. So I guess I would have to agree.
You should watch the film it’s bad ass. The same scene transitions into the Furry parking itself in the garage all smoked out. The owner of the garage opens the hot door and sees there is no one inside. Arnie comes to the garage the next day in shock when the police want to interview him. It’s cool because the Plymouth is brand new again as if nothing happened.
They never really make that clear in the movie I've seen it many times and always wondered that but he wouldn't have been able to survive that fire without being seriously disfigured.
Bully gets their's never gets old!
Too bad it doesn't happen in real life. But no one lives in Stephen King's world where there are always consequences for those who tease and bully misfits at school. Maybe this video should be shown to school bullies to put the fear of God into them.
Wonder if the fire damage was reported on the carfax 😂
Probably not...
OMG shut up! Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a scene, What a Film!
" I just hope he comes in here." lol.
Love this movie 🎬 🎞 🎥!
I think the incidental "this person is toast" music is a nice touch. ☺
If you watch the scene where Christine smashes into the Camaro at the gas station there is no engine in the Camaro !
😮
Still hated to see the 67 Camaro get wrecked though. I used to own one.
@@Sherwoody Christine destroyed Camaro and Buddy furious
It was his own fault. Couldn't keep his mouth shut.
@@Sherwoody yeah, like I have seen on internet movie car data base, that this film also has a couple of nice muscle cars (like the dodge charger) and some background cars being from the same time period as Christine. So it's truly a movie for car lovers
So crazy how Christine was able to instantly appear behind buddy’s car in a matter of seconds. It’s like she knew just how to locate him, but it’s also weird how she knew the exact car that he drove.
Well it's Satan or a spirit influenced by the occult that possees the car and demons the car is supernatural lol
@@savingsouls1atatime BINGO
or thats how the movie was scripted?
Christine's real power is that she can read. The script.
I think she can smell other cars
That's what you get when you mess with another man's wheels. Which you should NEVER do!
If there's 3 things you don't do, it's that you don't mess with a man's dog, nor a man's girl, or a man's car!
@@AlexKaneROTN and what made it cooler, the thugs also drove a nice car
Cars that were a dime a dozen. Are now most Rare. What a Camaro
😊
Christine rocking some xenon headlights.
And no one felt like running away from the service station except Buddy.
Buddy Repperton, the 38 year-old high school bully.
Hell back in every grade for 5 years
0:51 Peter Venkman's torture victim.
Thats what I thought!
I knew I’d seen him somewhere before, thanks for reminding me!
Running away from a car on the road what could possibly go wrong'
Everything.
At that point, Buddy knew that he was a dead man. I just don't think that he knew that he was going to end up burned like that.
Ol' Buddy got turned into a crispy critter!
3:03 ouchhhhhh🥶😱 he had no hope🥶😨
eye for an eye here
And a car for a car.
3:24 talk about getting fired😂
1 of the best scenes of the movie, my Fav. 👍
In the book buddys death was epic with buddy and his camaro and lebay in christine in a high speed duel on a dark snowy park road.
A true masterpiece! Seriously, nothing made today can even come close to this! Awesome movie!
Beautiful 1958 Plymouth Fury this car whaies Plowed ln to the Camaro
"He's backing up too!"
That's why Buddy kept that guy around, to point out the obscure details most people would miss.
He was a typical brainless sychophant found down the centuries latched onto a charismatic 'superior' .
John Travolta plays as a evil bully who gets carma from Christine
That’s Carrie, one of his first movie roles.
When the car takes off out of the gas station, you can hear that V8 kick into full force.
Buddy should have ran through a car wash.
While this scene is iconic Reppertons death in the book is way more brutal and I would love to see that on screen, the snow and the fast speeds be and Christine reach, the innocent freshman hanging with them, it’s much scarier in my opinion, do it all from reppertons POV, this scene is amazing though
I love it when buddy says look at my car 😢
I just hope he comes in here!!!!(he's coming....)
Shouldn't have said that!
U mean shes coming
Man I wish I can drive Christine alone with Arnie
You got a death wish?
@@ryugakira7706 I like Christine
@@mudrunneramericanwildsguy4307 I think she likes Arnie more though

The ubiquitous "revenge on the bullies" scene found in every SK book and movie.
Buddy is the most appealing dude ever🤩
The poor Camaro so sorry a mullet morron owned you .
Chevy boys must have cried like little girls when Christine crumpled that camaro
Buddy is a very bad version of John Travolta. And like the Darnell character that owned the garage, he’s actually a nicer person in this than the book.
When watching this scene, I thought it would've been perfect for John Travolta to play this part.
He was in "Carrie" as Billy Nolan, Chris Hargensen's scumbag boyfriend.
@@kevinmalone3210 possibly, but wasn't he at a weird spot in his career for much of the '80's?
That guy who played Buddy would be in an Italian knock off of Saturday night fever
@@kencummings953John Travolta's career was basically dead at this point. He didn't have another hit movie until Look who's Talking in 1989.
John Carpenter answered the question “Why was Buddy running in the middle of the street”. He said “it’s a movie”
thIs movie Never go out of style..😍😍😎😎🏁
Love this scene 😊
Stephen King must have really been bullied as a kid.
He always has inventive ways of getting back at them.
I love this movie, this is the best part
A movie about a sentient object that is actually quite good!
"I JUST HOPE HE COMES IN HERE!"
Never give up on hope people.
Goodnight and Happy New Year, bullies.
Happy death years
*shitters
“Is that Cuntingham?”🤣
That 68 is a badass ...
More so than the fury?
That's a '67 Camaro actually.
Id rather have Christine than any Camaro .
67
Oh yeah…. Agreed!
1958 Plymouth Fury all the way!
1:25 u can hear Christine talking shit using her engine
Everybody here's morning in the Camaro but what about the love for the chevelle sitting on the lift.
Great scene!
Amazing movie for its time, i would like to see a modern day christine movie
Buddy did cover a lot of distance
True, he was far enough out of sight to run off the road and hide somewhere
Still, Christine wasn't going to let him or any of them get away.
@@mvol5973Are you kidding me? There was no place to run to, no place to hide...and death, in the form of Christine, always gets his victims!
Buddy stood no chance of getting away...
At all!

68 SS ....Gorgeous....
💥💥Buddy wasn't even thinking about no bitch, he wasn't even tripping about that chick in the yellow car at the beginning.
I always thought Dennis was gay in this
@@mikeh2006 why
I always thought Moochie might be coded as gay... the crotch grab scene, as well as his "trucker" scene. Just a vibe
Great scene.
Buddy had pretty good cardio, tbh.
I'm thinking motivation. I know if a burning car was to be pursuing me, I'd be running like hell and not taking my time.
Christine versus Kitt and the Knight Rider
Trash a nice camaro😭
My favorite horror movie of all time Stephen King's Christine I love 💕 that movie and I got a piece of art is called bad influence with Christine as a blonde hair and pure Red eyes and I mean she's gorgeous
I finally watched the deleted scenes..was always curious on why the Chevy that Vandenberg was working was lowered before the explosion. Apparently in the deleted scene he crawls underneath the car and is crushed by it as it lowers causing him to yell out in pain.
Buddy always reminds me of a young Tom Araya (slayer)
Ya know when u look closely at the direction where Buddy was running towards, there's anything some other headlights going by. My guess Buddy was going for help even though he still probably should have tried to jump out the way
Buddy just thought he was a bad ass
Was that a real Camaro they wrecked for this? I love the movie though, so well done.
and also christine car is in the junkyard fury go find there
Jamais elle était en rage Christine comme dans cette scène.
Christine is no longer here ironically john is the purveyor.
Put play back speed to 0.25 it will sound even better
Christine hit that Camaro so hold it's engine disappeared.
is wat made this movie famous right there car on fire
When she reject you but your homie wants to drive late at night
My grandpa had a 1959 fury that car gave me the creeps myom too
3:43 one of the best moments in horror movie history
3:36 I wonder how long it took them to restart the car right here when when it died on terry was backing out
If your movie car gets in a game with over 1 billion sales you know its bouta get crazy
Nobody gets between me and Christine 😎
Good scene, but it's been uploaded in a bastardized aspect ratio. It should be in 2.35:1, not 1.85:1.
Agreed. It’s only a step above pan and scanning. Doesn’t kill the experience but it destroys most of the composition, you need the extra wide space the 2.35:1 ratio offers.
RIP Buddy Repperton
😎😎 he is so cool 😎😎 the other guy was in ghostbusters I think 😜😜
Gas stations really are dangerous places.
Damn that was a nice 68 SS!....was ...
Didn't even have an engine in it! 😂
And I just thought that people got upset at them destroying the fury
3:31 isso ainda assustador...
In memory of the 1969 Chevy camero
I always thought it was the bumper that came off didn’t notice till now it was his flaming body that got ran over
Oh yeah I did notice😊
