Forge Welded Integral Guard Knife

Hope you enjoyed this video, this will be my last video for a while, as I will be in Finland for the next little while.
This blade is 80crv2 with homemade paper micarta and bronze spacers, with a stabilized willow handle. Unfortunately i got a weld failure on one side of the guard during heat treat which means I will not be selling this knife. The crack is pretty minor so I did finish the knife out anyways and I am pretty happy with it otherwise. Thanks for watching and I look forward to being back and able to make videos again.

A forged welded integral is a cool idea. I wonder if clay would protect the forge weld in the quench. The knife looks awesome

clay is a good idea since the guard doesn't need to be hard. might try that next time
