Much better show this week with serious commentary. Everyone was engaged in the process. Aaron is not a problem, he just comes from a different professional background and offers a different perspective.
I believe that Lanning's goal is to build a powerhouse legacy program in Oregon rather than take over one somewhere else. The former being the bigger achievement
Please, on the next episode, somebody bring up how Dan Lanning used "Jump Around" to turn the game completely around to open the 4th Quarter. Was it brilliant, or a potential disaster? Things are going right for Oregon this year
You should deflect a little, next time, and just make sure Joey gets as much crap for forgetting Justis Lowe’s name as you do for existing on the show hahaha
Yeah I don’t understand why we’re talking about the coach leaving. He’s never made any indication he wants to leave and has made it very clear he wants to stay at Oregon. NFL would be more likely than another college job at this point. But let’s talk about the games, not the coach leaving.
I was pleasantly surprised this past Saturday when I watched a game on CBS and heard a voice I recognized. It took till halftime before they showed your face Jordan. Well done broadcast my friend! Will you be doing more? With all the (lies) according to Joey, I hope it wasn't woke CBS that rubbed off on you 😂. This was a fun show and glad to see the band is back in the studio! Great work fellas! Ducks 35 Badgers 13
@@KFBALL247 Crowd was flat because the team was flat and played like shit. The student section except for the Ohio State game is a joke. They never stay past the third quarter and it's on the side that the camera sees and people see quite a few empty seats. Students sections need to be smaller if they aren't going to go. I've noticed alot of student sections around the country doing this is. Kids nowadays all have ADHD and can't sit long enough without being bored. Of course against Maryland the Ducks were boring. Why is Fentress even on this show. What a waste of a so called journalist.
@ Agree with most of what you said. But a lot of student sections around the country completely fill up and stay that way until the end of the game. But a lot of the spoiled programs that are always winning and dominating seem to have the same issue. It’s not a good look at all. Oregon’s student section used to be way louder and way rowdier back in the early 2000’s when Oregon was just starting to get good. Students these days are a lot different than they used to be…no attention span, on their phones half the time, and have no attention span.
@@KFBALL247 100 percent agree. The attention span of these students in todays world is not that great. Oregon needs to address the students attending the games and staying longer. It's not a good look for anyone. Recruits see it. Our athletes see it and America sees it when they watch our games.
Was at the game, right next to the Maryland fans. This was more Rowdy than WaZu last year. And Maryland fans were impressed. It seems a “C-game” Autzen is still better than the vast majority of crowds lol
Did anybody else notice how often the Maryland receivers jumped to catch the ball? I don't know if it was just one guy or more, but it seemed like they could have had yards after catch if they just caught the ball and churned their legs like a regular receiver instead of hanging up in the air only to get tackled or fall down as they came back down to the ground. The ball would be thrown at a receiver's neck and they'd jump to catch it.
As far as temperature, wicking fabrics make being in the cold a LOT easier to handle. I wonder how many who bring up the effect of temperature have played a field sport in the cold with quality, and properly fitted, wicking fabrics.
Aaron doesn’t understand how things work. Bama wanted an SEC guy, and Lanning was Bama’s first choice, but you can’t get an Alabama offer if he shuts down the interest, right after they contact his agent to see if he’s interested.
I don't think the Maryland game was a "wakeup call" for Oregon, because they won by too many points to receive much of a warning. A narrow escape at Wisconsin, however, would do the trick just fine. Aaron's contention that Oregon is but one of an echelon of teams roughly equally capable of winning the natty makes sense. I'd name the others in this first tier: Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Georgia. Some of these teams have had ugly losses, but the playoffs are all about what a team can do going forward once they've secured a playoff berth. As for Penn State, Tennessee, Indiana, and Miami, I'd put them in the next tier for now.
I think in the past 5+ years HCs have been paid so high that you dont need to leap frog as much for a better pay day. Being in the BIG10 he's in the same position as Kirby. Coaches come to them for a great opportunity
I'll be the nervous nelly. This will be Ducks 8th straight game without a bye. Whereas Badgers are coming off one, which seemed to help UMD last week. The injuries are significant, particularly to Gabriel's safety valve- Tez, who could really help on 3rd downs in that environment. If Ducks lay another 3rd qtr egg and give up turnovers, could be worrisome.
Lanning grew up in Missouri so there might be that draw but he'll never have the resources to be successful... KC Chiefs, that's a whole different temptation. Surprised that you didn't mention that by beating the Badgers it will put Oregon into the conf title game no matter what happens vs Washington.
Why would Lanning leave Ducks are in the B1G. Has all the perks at his disposal! Better practice facilities coming. Better players are coming to the Ducks too!
We’re the ducks sloppy, or did Maryland have surge moments. They could not maintain a consistent movement in both offense and defense. So the ducks suck, and lucky. They are really a #22 team. Ducks need to remember they are playing football, and sometimes the other team wants to win.
Might take heat for this. But the Wednesday practice that week wasn't good. And then the team was unfocused and sloppy the next game. What happened Tuesday that could have affected people Wednesday and through the week? Election.
Kent says Lanning is a lifer at Oregon. I think that is way too rosy a view. Maybe he wants to stay here and win a championship with Oregon, but he is young. No way he is staying here for 30 years. Maybe 10 years to get his kids through school, but no way he turns down offers from SEC or NFL teams, if he continues this level of success. I think Fentress has the right approach to this. Wait till Lanning actually gets an offer from a school/team that compares with Oregon.
He turned down bama. Obviously Alabama isn’t going to come out and say Dan Lanning was our first choice but he turned us down so we moved on to DeBoer. All reports coming out at that time was Dan Lanning was Alabamas first choice. The best reporters in the sport don’t all get it wrong. Fentress just loves getting Oregon fans heated. It’s the only way he can stay relevant. Dude still thinks Oregon would be better with Helfrich
"From the outset, Washington's DeBoer and Florida State's Mike Norvell were at the top of Byrne's list." That is from Chris Low's 3/6 article titled: How Alabama moved from Nick Saban to Kalen DeBoer in 49 hours. Fentress is spot on.
I could see Lanning leaving for the NFL AFTER he wins at a Natty at Oregon. He seems extremely goal oriented and i think that's the goal on the board right now for him. Win a title at Oregon. After that... i could see the next goal being NFL HC, but i dont know.
Ducks had a bad game with Maryland and of course they'll rebound with a better game. Wisconsin knows it and they'll roll over because they know they're going to lose. No need for the Ducks to worry about focus as everything will automatically go their way. Wisconsin will be a pushover and they will cruise by Washington as well. No problem. Wait. No one has told Wisconsin this, or Washington either. The main comment I heard was something on the order of "everyone's going to come gunning for you." You better believe it. I'd like to see the Ducks put up 600 yards with the Ducks offensive line controlling the line of scrimmage and not allowing a single knock down of Gabriel. I want to see 3 and outs constantly due to a dominating defense. What will tell me their focus is back, for this game, is the final score and domination by the offense, defense, and special teams. Oh, and "you can't be perfect every single game?" Excuse me, their are other teams that are focusing on perfection in the SEC and also a few other teams in the Big Ten. Remember "past results is not to be an indicator of future performance." And, "each day has enough trouble of it's own." To summarize, every man needs to do his job on every play. The results will take care of themselves.
Fentress is just a hater. He wants everyone upset about the coaching because he isn't allowed on campus. Lower from way back. The fact they have that pos on the show destroys the credibility of the panel.
Agreed!!! Leave Aaron alone. He's a great antagonizer. Love watching him be wrong quite a bit and love his back and forth with Anthony, who is the ultimate homer!!!

A lot better show. Enjoyed the comments. All the guys are great.
Thank you Joey for staying engaged this episode.....playing solo chess, perusing a periodical during previous shows....not a good look for you
I believe that Lanning's goal is to build a powerhouse legacy program in Oregon rather than take over one somewhere else. The former being the bigger achievement
Good point by Numan. Ducks gave Maryland at least 7 of those 18 points on a penalty call.
Great show. More often would be cool
Please, on the next episode, somebody bring up how Dan Lanning used "Jump Around" to turn the game completely around to open the 4th Quarter. Was it brilliant, or a potential disaster? Things are going right for Oregon this year
I enjoy Aaron’s comments.
Good stuff boys. Appreciate you. Go Ducks!!!
Jordan set me up. Don’t come at me too hard today. 😳

I think he’d leave for the Chiefs job, but that’s a way off.
Definition of throwing you under the bus :)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought the crowd was flat
Student section has fallen off a cliff. They are spoiled and only show up and stay for big games. It’s pretty ridiculous.

Good positive responses to keep the momentum going-nevermind that guy in the Fouts chair...
Great show
Oregon 33 Wisconsin 17
Bring back some highlight segments from previous game and for the team we’re playing this weekend.
I remember when Oregon went to Camp Randall in 2000. Harrington threw a number of dropped balls that hit guys in the hands.
I was at that game in Tempe Aaron. Aaaaaaarrrreeggggghhhhhhh!!!
Go Ducks!

I kept forgetting that Maryland was on our schedule.
30:58 did we just have unanimous agreement??? Haha

@jaymacpherson8167 won't be an issue this year. Temp in Wisconsin will be 53 for the high, 45 low. That's eugene weather
@ I think you miss my point.
Aaron doesn’t understand how things work. Bama wanted an SEC guy, and Lanning was Bama’s first choice, but you can’t get an Alabama offer if he shuts down the interest, right after they contact his agent to see if he’s interested.
They must have read last weeks comments
I believe so. This year is the first time i didn't watch episodes.. with this WI preview, I'm looking fwd to Thursday's again.

it will put Oregon into the conf title game no matter what happens vs Washington.
“Fentress and punt “ 💀
Oh come on Anthony- if you saw Birch running at you on a fake punt YOU WOULD BLOW HIM UP!
Redzone is the key!
Why would Lanning leave Ducks are in the B1G. Has all the perks at his disposal! Better practice facilities coming. Better players are coming to the Ducks too!
NFL is the only reason he leaves
I was at the game and the ducks looked uninterested and bored. But in the end a big win. They will need to play a lot better against wisky.
I agree. Best thing to happen. Can’t wait for the bye week. Get these boys a break.
Aaron is a hater because he's never been a Duck. He will go to his grave hating the one thing he can never be. You either are or you aren't. He ain't.
We’re the ducks sloppy, or did Maryland have surge moments. They could not maintain a consistent movement in both offense and defense. So the ducks suck, and lucky. They are really a #22 team. Ducks need to remember they are playing football, and sometimes the other team wants to win.

Relax, he’s what makes the show interesting by playing antagonist. That’s what makes this show fun to watch instead of watching a bunch of homers.
He picked Oregon to win and cover.
