@@cosmo1eleven855 yeah but I didn’t believe Cristobal. When he talked it felt scripted or rehearsed. Still was a great recruiter and got us through a rebuild. Just wish he would’ve stayed away from negotiations until that season was over. They really need to make that a rule that teams and coaches can’t be in talks until the National Championship is over. Too many distractions and it effects recruiting.

The great thing is he doesnt have a powerhouse alma mater like Backstabbin' Willie T at Florida State or Mario "The Quarterback Killer" Cristobal at Miami. For Lanning, Oregon is the dream job. One last comment. I've watched, rooted, and died with the Ducks since 1970. I have watched them lose in every way possible. I watched through the Rich Brooks era.( I hate that guy.) He has always been a loser, and it breaks my heart that they've named anything after him. I was an L.A. Rams fan, til he was hired there and continued to piss on his career. BUT!!! That lead to Mike Bellotti who taught Oregon how to win. Who then hired Chip Kelly, who taught Oregon how to win big. Since? Been kinda what Clint Eastwood would call clusterf*ck. And then a miracle. Dan Lanning. SEC trained visionary. WHAT CAN I/WE DO TO GET BETTER? Gives me, an ordinary Oregon Duck fan, hope in being titled "The Greatest In The Country" at least once. Last season when he started running on 4th down was innovative. Onside kick when you were ahead, and I can't remember when Oregon had come from behind, but forever remember them losing, when they had a lead in the 4th quarter. I remember the Ducks having to score 50 points in the first half just because the second half, the opposing team would run over us. I watched the Ducks take a 31-0 halftime lead and then piss it away and lose 47-41. Watching them come back from behind against WSU last year was something I'd NEVER seen in 50 years. Imagine walking into Gym class and Dan Lanning is yelling at you for not doing a plank long enough. 😭
He was Kenny Powers before being a National Champion DC.

The athletic department (mostly football) pay for all the athletic costs. They rake in hoards of money. I get your point on tuition though

@@Pipsqueak- don’t get me wrong I’m a lifelong ducks fan, I love the facilities etc. but like jeez. College degrees are mostly a scam except for doctors lawyers etc. I work in the aerospace CNC industry as a tooling engineer and I don’t have a degree. These colleges charge so much for a degree it’s crazy. Then you hear they spending 300 million on a practice facility.

@@Bestruction Yeah I get ya. College does seem like a scam nowadays with so many avenues for a career. Like I was saying these athletic departments are making money hand over fist mostly from football revenue. All that goes back into facilities, coach salary, etc. That’s why you see all these schools going to the bigger conferences. All about $$

Since some big ten fans might be reading these comments I just want to say that I hate the ducks and by proxy I hate Dan lanning. The dawgs, zer0’s rivalry is one that rivals anything in the country. Good. Old. Fashioned. Irrational. Hate. Go dawgs and bow down to Washington.
