How far apart can the chestnut be from eachother , I have 3 but still no chestnuts going into year 5 . And they 10-12 feet tall
I have mine 5 yards away from each other. I am in WI and found that wrapping the cage with burlap during the winter helped the Dunstan tree big time. After 2 years tree doubled in size and had chestnuts in the two years. Prior to that tree looked dead for 3 years…
@@jerryperron5243 thank you , mine might be too far apart then . Trees look great and make lush leaves but are 30
yards apart . 🤔
Easy way to fix that is to add trees to your open space. Burlap protect is very wise.
@@markrodwell8523 oh yeah. I have more on way this year , so I will tighten up the distance to them this season . 👍🏼
