I can say that my maglite ain’t the brightest but it definitely throws that hotspot far with the upgraded led bulb.

Yeah, the led upgrades, over the years, have probably kept many Maglites out of the scrap heap.

@@RollingTardis Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against newer flashlights. Hella bright and really fun to play with. But nothing beats that simple reliable click of a maglite. With my 500 lumen upgrade my maglite still lasts quite a long time before needing to change batteries. Swear to god it was the farthest throwing light when I went to camp recently.

@@moistexistence3090 Maglite was and still is a very well made flashlight. But todays throwers would put the Maglite to shame. Even the China Pride Zoomies, have beaten the Maglites. But for reliability and price point Maglite is best in class.

@@RollingTardis I think nowadays maglite needs to up their game. Definitely keep producing the classics but come on. Give us some modern flashlights made in the US.

I would say yes, for general purposes. It is not necessary to have extreme light. But still cool to have a light that lights up the night.

does the 3500 lumens kill the standard batteries or do you have to get rechargeable batteries capable of handling the power

This flashlight uses 2 26650 lithium cells. 5 amp hour cells last about 5 hours on high power.
