- Hello and welcome. Today we take a look at the @sigsauerinc P365 X Macro Tac Ops. Yea, well @sigsauerinc likes long names... I've been carrying this gun for a while now using a @HarrysHolsters and the holster is very comfortable. Then again I've been a fan of @HarrysHolsters for many years. What are your thought on this @sigsauerinc P365 X Macro Tac Ops?
Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.

Thank you for another great review, Doc.
You are welcome and my pleasure. Thank you for stopping by.
Thank you for this video on the tacops. I am new to firearms and I bought this as my edc. I have put probably 600+ rounds through it and it just doesn’t fail to make me smile.
You are most welcome. Thank you very much for stopping by!
THANK YOU! This is exactly what I needed!
Glad it helped! Thank you for watching!
Great video! The TacOps is next on my list.
Thank you very much!
Its a sweet gun I have had mine for seven months. Its my favorite concealed carry. And I have several compact and sub compact guns that dont even feel as good as my macro. Nice trigger, large capacity, and a very nice slim profile for concealment. Its worth the heavy price that most stores ask for.
I appreciate the feedback and that you took the time to stop by. Cheers!
Nice video! I love my Harry’s Holster.
So do I. They are one of my top three go-to holsters. Thank you for stopping by.
I am not a fan of subcompacts, let alone micro guns. I prefer compact size handguns with a 4" barrel or higher.
With that said, I bought me a *Sig Sauer P365 XMacro TACOPS 3.7" (17+1).* It's truly one of the best handguns in its class. Extraordinarily accurate, with a smooth trigger, great ergonomics, and so far, very reliable. I highly recommend it. Before the TACOPS, the only subcompact I had was a Canik TP9 Elite SC, which it's another faaantastic pistol, but the TACOPS is a notch above.
Great video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you very much for your kind words and for sharing your experience with us. I appreciate it. Cheers!
Good Video. I've had an X-Macro since August of last year. I had 2 XL's when I got the XM and added 17 round mags and the XM grip module as soon as they became available, so in essence the lowers are all the same. I had been watching the new XL slide on Sig's website go from out of stock for months until it recently came into stock. It's available in stainless, black and Coyote Brown and has the forward optics cut. I was told by Sig this is the slide used on the 365 TacOps. Got the Coyote Brown version and love it. I'm forgoing the magwell and extended slide release. I believe the factory TacOps has suppressor-heigh night sights as well, but I'm running this slick on top So the original sights are fine. This is my current favorite carry gun.
Sounds like a sweet set up. Thank you very much for all that information and for taking the time to stop by.
This is an amazing option for those who want a higher tier EDC pistol and looking for a fantastic deal. The X-Compact was my choice for one of the best bang for the buck carry pistols until the X-Macro hit the market. They're basically the same pistol but the X-Macro is thinner and has greater capacity. I'm still picking up the compensator version in the next few months after Sig Sauer works for the QC issues with the finish as current production models are said to have rust problems.
It is pretty sweet. Thank you very much for your comment and for stopping by.
I’ve got the compensated version and I’m very happy with it. Got a little over 1000 rounds through it and it’s been flawless. I put the Holosun 507k x2 green dot multi reticle system on it. My ammo choice is the Underwood Extreme Defenders 90 gr. +p. Very flat shooting pistol.
Great Gun! Very Accurate! Running in CO IDPA. Added an XL frame and one 12rd mag for warm weather carry. Use Tier 1 appendix carry. Swapping between frames takes 30 sec.
Yeah, the modularity is amazing. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Great job with the video!
I appreciate that Ryan. Thank you very much for stopping by.
thank you for the great video, i just picked my sig p365 x-macro up yesterday and love it as i knew i would, i have the nra p365 and love the compactness of it, but the x-macro is that much more comfortable in my hand, could you share where you got that harry holster from and how i can purchase one from also please. thank you
Great gun. I have one and it’s on my list of my 3 favorite CCW weapons. Very accurate.
It is very accurate. Which are your other two favorites? Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by.
@@MDpolo Probably my SW Shield Plus 9 and my Glock 43X 9. I also recently picked up a Springfield Hellcat 9 that is pretty sweet also.
I have a Vp9 SK, sig X-macro,
And P365 XL. The XL is the easiest to conceal. X macro grip length makes it more challenging but still decent. I have 13rd mags with extension sleeves for my VP9SK and it feels the best when I shoot. Fills my hand the best. That said I shoot both Sigs incredibly well. They are winners. Lastly, it bares mention that it is very hard to get the 16th and 17th rounds in the X- Macro mags. Even with a maglula loader. Maybe that will ease over time. Great video. Thank you
Totally agree with you. I love my VP9SK. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Amazing capacity for such a small pistol! Nice holster too!
It’s pretty sweet. But you need a good holster because on a thin gun like this, 17 rounds in the mag gets pretty heavy (for the size of the pistol) and the grip tends to keel out. As always thank you for stopping by James.
@@MDpolo You're welcome. My pleasure.
I didn't want to buy a whole new gun, like the one above, so I took advantage of the P365's modular chassis. I swapped the fire control unit from my original P365 into a Wilson Combat XL frame. It's a much better fit for my big hands and my pinky isn't dangling off now. I also swapped to 12 plus 1 for my daily carry for some extra capacity.
Yeah, that’s the beauty of this modular system. Thank you very much for your comment and for taking the time to stop by.
Cool holster 💥🔫
I’ve used his holsters for years. They’re awesome. Thank you for stopping by.
Well done! The Tac Ops is more or less the LEO version of the X Macro, but either way, it is an outstanding pistol that is sure to reset the market once again. That holster looks fantastic, too. I have an older version w/the modular wing, but I like how Harry's Holsters has innovated again w/this new wing feature. 👍👍
For me the star of this video is the holster for sure. Harry did a superb job with this new design. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Can you please link the exact holster or the model from the website. When I check it doesn’t list the x macro tacops for any holster
I have the standard P365, carry it 10+1 with a 17-round mag in reserve. It’s a little snappy for my wife though, and she likes the Macro better.
Great video, what camera do you use?
It would be great if you could post a photo or video of your entire setup. This is perfection
Thank you very much for your kind words. Actually my main camera is back at the manufacturer because it stopped working so this video was filmed using my iPhone 12 pro! Thank you very much for stopping by.
Pretty soon, the fully loaded magazine will weigh nearly as much as the pistol. If the barrels get much shorter, the performance of the 9 mm will be similar to that of a lesser caliber. But, that’s progress. Thanks for the video.
I agree. I always thought 4" was compact and 5" was standard for 9mm. Not sure why everyone is obsessed with having the smallest gun possible.
@Chap LLC they're obsessed with having the smallest gun possible for concealability. I have the original Macro (not the tac ops variant) and I find that it conceals very well and don't need the smaller guns in the 365 family or any other micro 9mm.
@@chapllc722 - Smaller gun is Easier to carry concealed
Very good presentation, thanks for the detailed insight.
Will the Harry holster accept this gun with a Red Dot and light mounted on it??
That holster looks smooth and purposeful
This particular model was made to accept a red dot but not a light. Not sure if he’s got a model that will accept the light. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Just bought a P365X without Compensator (XL Slide longer barrel) with 2 17mags instead of 4. $629. Buds Guns.
Why don’t you take a piece of black wet or dry sandpaper about 220 grit and sand the high points of the textured surface till it feels right start off with side that rubs u raw
I have small, short fingered hands, and this gun (and the Springfield Hellcat Pro) are perfect for me. (Glocks are 2x4s for me).
It is very comfortable in my hand. Thank you so much for stopping by.
I ALWAYS wear a t-shirt under to keep sweat off my weapons. I want to try the Tacops out, but none of the ranges near me offer it as a rental option. They offer the base macro model, but that isn't the same to me.
Nice. Subed
I appreciate that very much. Thank you!
I got the Icuras X Macro frame and converted my XL to a Maxro. It was kinda of a pain in the ass because the magazine release was difficult to obtain but I finally found it and I'm going to test fire it this weekend. It's an aluminum frame and the texture on the grip is different. I don't believe it will initiate the skin the same way as the polymer frame. May be something that you will want to check out. Great video as always MD.
I’ve been curious about trying one of those Icarus grip modules. Thank you very much for the suggestion and for taking the time to stop by. Cheers!
Can someone link the exact model of holster from Harry holsters? The shorty says not compatible with this and infiltrator doesn’t list. Any help would be awesome! Great video!

I am going out today with my Sig P365 X Macro Tac Ops for the first time shooting. I am looking forward to the experience today.
Awesome. Please let me know what you think after you get the opportunity to shoot it. Thank you for stopping by.
@@MDpolo it shot amazing right out of the box. I have found it to be the best concealable and shooting gun I own. I was very impressed how low the recoil was for such a light gun. I brought with me my Sig P320 AXG. The P320 of course was much better shooting. However, I shot the P365 on target just as well for being the first time out. If someone is looking for a great concealable good shooting gun. I would recommend the P365 X-Macro Tacops.
@@SteveHinrichs great to hear!
im hoping soon i will find someone that does a comparison between the fuse and the tacops im torn between the two for conceal carry
I have yet to see the fuse locally. So not sure when I can be of help.
I'm thinking of trading in my P365 for the Marco. I love my HK VP9sk as my primary compact firearm, so like you said, VP9sk is the winner. Like your other comparisons and review.
Thank you very much for your kind words my friend. Cheers!
Why not both?
@@ApharmdBattler You have a point sir!
Which wedge do you use on the Harry's Holster? The version on Harry's site is a sponge.
I had several wedges left over from the first generation holsters from Harry’s Holsters.
This version makes sence. Rather then shooting out of a the 365, 3 inch barrel.
That’s exactly what I thought. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I can hit a pie plate at 100 yards with my 3 inch barrel
@@robertstratton1805 awesome.
@@MDpolo I can shoot the wings off a fly
@@MDpolo I can shoot around a pig and hit a bull’s-eye
Just picked up my second one at a good price. Pleasure to shoot and carry
I dig the xl, never held that beauty there.
Do you shoot steel cased ammo through all of those beautys?
I have not shot steel cased ammo through my guns. Thank you very much for stopping by.
I shoot, brass, steel and aluminum cased ammo through all of my guns. There is no reason not to... unless you listen to all of the tacticool cowboys. If any gun I own won't shoot any ammo that I feed it... I get rid of it. There are specs to which ammo is manufactured, if those specs are met then there is no reason that it shouldn't work. You are not giving your gun a "treat" when you only feed it expensive ammo for every range trip. People have talked about steen case ammo wearing out parts of your gun. I call BS. Ammo is made from mild steel. It is not going to wear out the hardened steel in your gun.
One thing I must say if that you will always shoot better with a standard or full pistol then you would a compact.
Now, apparently, Sig has recently released the 365 X-Macro. No comp. No extra mags, mag well or extended slide catch. Sometimes less is more. Maybe they should simply call this the X-Macro 'starter pack'...
Great video, is this holster built for the 365xl or xmacro?
P365 XL.
Great video! Just purchased the tac ops! My p365 just wasn’t big enough. Now I’m struggling with finding holsters online as none of them specify working for the tac ops model. Is the Harry’s holster a good fit? Are there any other options you know of?
Harry’s Holsters fit like a glove. I have not looked elsewhere. Harry’s Holsters is one of my top three. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Broken Spoke Holsters make IWB and OWB holsters for the macro and tacos macro with or without your choice of light or lazer
Check out Tulster holsters. I have the oath and the contour. Also have a Vedder Comfortuck and it’s very comfortable for IWB.
All websites show it as being 1.4in width. Is that because of the flared magwell? All other xl macros are 1.1
That’s very strange because although I have never measured the magwell, I can’t imagine it being that wide.
What 9mm round are those black cases pokey 9mms on the table
Fort Scott Munitions.
just bought mine at Cabela's last night - 749.99 - I got a 50-buck gift card for spending over 500.00 so I used towards the pistol, plus they gave me an additional 5% off. And Sig is running a special if you buy the pistol, they will send an addition 3 magazines with proof of purchase.
That is an absolutely awesome deal. Congratulations!
You scored big time! 👍🏾😁
Will a Holosun 507K co -witness with the rear sight ?
I don’t know. The only optic I have tried on the X macro has been to Swampfox Sentinel.
Wish I had known about this one. I got the xmacro comp a few days ago.
As did I! But, I will buy this as well.
I likey
You didn't say barrel length here. What's the difference in accuracy between 3.1 & 3.7"? Pls explain. Thx.
It has a 3.7 inch barrel just like the P365 XL.
Mouth-full is a direct quote from Sootch00
How is that a direct quote? Is it a figure of speech that only he uses? Thank you for stopping by.
Hey Polo, I got my tacops yesterday finally, so you know if this slide will get smoother?? It is really hard to rack it. Well, not really hard but unusually hard.
Not yet. Still the same. This has been my experience with all P365 XL in the last couple of years.
@@MDpolo hmmm ok. Wonder why they are like this.
I would love a metal one
Now that would be interesting…. Thanks for watching!
On Harrys web site they do not specifically state it will fit the marco tacops, You bought the hoster for the 365x marco I assume and not the xl ?
That is correct for the XL macro.
Wait so which holster does work with the tacops model?
I actually prefer the XL, but I’m leaving the Macro Tac Ops in factory configuration with the EPS Carry and TLR7 sub, because it shoots so well, and is kinda cool.
Using the T-Rex arms, Ironside holster.
Sweet set up. Thank you for sharing it with us and for stopping by. Cheers!
Can anyone answer whether or not this gun can be parkerized, more for looks and high wear surfaces. I know this gun comes with a protective coating already.
Its stainless steel so no it cant
@@SonsoftheRevolution1776 Thanks.
Question----will a sig 365 Xmacro/comp 9mm slide fit on a base sig 365 380 grip frame?...thank you
That’s a good question, but I haven’t tried that. I’m sure somebody has tried it or perhaps a call to Glock would answer your question. Thank you very much for stopping by.
@@MDpoloI don't think Glock will have much info on what SIG barrels will fit what SIG frames. 😮 IMHO, calling SIG will have much better results.
You are correct. Obviously I typed the incorrect name.
Imagine what this would hold chambered in 30 Super Carry
Oh my gosh, I never thought about it. That would be crazy.
About 2-3 more rounds so maybe 20 or so
What model of Harry’s holster is that?
harrysholsters.com/product-tag/sig-p365x-macro/
Can I swap the slide assembly with standard p365?
I don’t see why not.
Is it possible to remove the mag well ?
Yes, you just have to loosen up one single screw in the back of it and it comes right off. Thank you for stopping by.
You measure chamber to chamber
Hey Polo, I am wanting to find a replacement rear sight that is blacked out but I’m having problems doing so. Do you know of any rear sight I can put on it that would allow me to leave the front site thats on it?
I’ve never looked into replacing sights on a P365. My two favorite companies are Ameriglo and Heinie Sights. I would just got on the phone with them and have them tell you what will work.
@@MDpolo funnt that you said Ameriglo. I believe I found a replacement made by them. Ordered it a little bit ago. Thank you brother
I have read that Sig changed the paint on the tacops from what is on the original xmacro to avoid the rusting. Have you heard this??

For never shooting a firearm in my life. 45 years old. Would this be a wise purchase for a first firearm?
I would suggest you find a gun range that has a rental counter and shoot the gun you’re interested in before buying it. if you’ve never shot before, I would also encourage you to sign up for a couple of lessons before making a purchase decision.

I don’t like the way the gun shoots, just my personal opinion, but it is one of the most comfortable guns I own.
I felt the same way. Super comfortable to carry but the grip is just too thin.
Comfortable in your hand or comfortable to carry?
The "X-Macro TacOps" was designed and packed for immediate adoption as the standard duty weapon for law enforcement agencies without modification or additional accessory purchases. When used in conjunction with a level three retention holster, it truly is the Glock 17 killer.
Considering the price point and that concealability is not a priority for a duty weapon I'm going to say no this is not a G17 killer.
@@jeffhudson2346 I would agree if the market-share numbers didn’t reflect otherwise.
Homework is a critical part of maintaining an educated opinion.
@@SpecialAgentW the only advantage this has over a G17 is size which is not a priority for a duty weapon in the open on a holster, if you think that a purchase committee is going to reequip a entire department at a higher cost just to save weight and a little bit of size with a side of legal liability from the law suits over the p320 I'm going to say you are dreaming.
@@jeffhudson2346 No dreaming here, Sir, but leave it to the Glock martyrs to mention Sig’s “defendant” status in court…
Boy, it’s a good thing agencies are running more advanced vehicles rather than hanging new/replacement parts on the ole CrownVics, huh?
It’s absolutely a smart move for an agency to upgrade aging equipment with newer, more advanced technology, particularly where officer and public safety are concerned.
Price should never be a consideration in this…
I know of no less than five major agencies that are outfitting new hires and specialty divisions with weapons OTHER than Glock for just that reason …and not just with SigSauer.
It needs to be underscored here that I carried Glocks *most* of my career (22+ years) and depended on them daily, but Sig Sauer is the clear overall winner in the categories that matter for duty performance. Smart agencies recognize this. Anyone paying serious attention recognizes this.
I knew my contribution to the conversation would draw ire from the Glock fandom, but anyone failing to appreciate the advancements made in handgun technology and refusal to accept the turning of the tide for Glock is, at best, an arrogant, obtuse opinion.
320, M17, M18 have statistical problems in the hands of the inexperienced and those that lack an honest fear and respect of a firearm, but when an agency carries Glock “because they always have” it’s the silliest of rationales anyone can present for discussion.
😂 Glock “killer” 😅
This is the only version that makes sense to me.
Outside the range, the compd version is just a risk.
9x19 is ballistically marginal as it is, with a ton of loadings of major manufacturers simply failing to expand through cloth already out of a 4 inch barrel.
Further reducing the muzzle velocity with a tiny barrel to reduce already low recoil is just a very bad real life trade off. Sure, there are a few select loads and bullet designs that work in a 3 inch barrel (HST, Underwood Xtreme Defender), but physics is real and I personally wouldn’t trust my life on 270 ft-lb if I have another option like this Tac Ops version.
Very interesting comment. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
Those Underwood Extreme Defenders 90gr. +p aren’t a joke coming out of the X Macro comp. They do better going through a wide array of barriers and still penetrate better than hollow points.
This gun kicks like a flipping mule compared to my Beretta APX and even my Max-9, despite the Max-9 being 18 oz and the Tacops 23 oz. Wife has Rose P365XL Comp, the comp does help a fair bit for sure. Even my Glock 23 Gen 5 with high powered Underwood .40 s&w 135 gr nosler jhp, 675 ft lbs in Beretta APX and 588 ft lbs in 3.4” Glock 27. In my 23 it’s 610 ft lbs of energy and even that ammo, in the 26.3 oz Glock, kicks about the same as standard 9mm in the Tacops. That’s a little ridiculous. And +p in the Tacops, forget about it. Its going to tear tour trigger finger up. It made mine bleed actually after “toughing through” 3 mags of +p.
The tacops also had to have a longer break-in than the Ruger Max-9 and my Ruger LCP. The Beretta or Glock needed no break in. The Max-9 and LCP only malfunctioned on the first magazine. The Sig had malfunctions the first 3-4 times I used each of the 4 magazines.
I love how it looks and feels in my hand anyway?
I love the APX. Especially the first generation. Thank you very much for stopping by.
This pistol is incomplete without SIG offering a manual safety option; otherwise, I wouldn't mind having it. I emailed SIG over a month ago requesting this model with a manual safety, an optic, four 17 rd magazines, and a conceal carry holster as a package offer...... still no answer, so I will not purchase this pistol at this time as my XL frame conversion works fine with a 3.1 barrel for edc. Thanks and Blessings!
I am surprised they have not offer this with a manual safety option. Thank you very much for stopping by.
They now have a Macro with a manual safety. The magwell piece can be purchased separately. Whatever holster they offered as part of a package would suck as all the mass-produced holsters do.
