"Almost" every team wants Alonso but the question is ....what are they willing to trade? I would not accept a mediocre offer even if Pete is just a Rental .
Alonso to the Mariners would be a massive improvement for them
I’ll pass tbh not for what the Mets would want like if we could get him for a top 20 and maybe top 15 prospect sure but nothing in the top 10 or even 12 and the Mets would never do that

100% the Pirates need to be in that conversation. They need a 1B and some pop in the offense and they need a bullpen arm to make up for the loss of Dauri Moreta and Borucki. Yeah, you can make all the comments you want about the owner being cheap and blah b-blah b-blah b-blah, but you have a GM in the last year of his contract with a young team who is trying to compete. They have pitching prospects they can give to make a run. They're only 4 games back of .500 and they have terrific starting pitching. It's pretty wild that they're not even being considered.
It's all bad right now. Alonso is gone no matter what, his time with the Mets is over. Sadly but it is what it is. It's going to take a few years before those prospects pay real dividends. Soto is not coming to Queens, he was never coming to Queens. I hope I'm wrong but I've maintained from the moment Soto went to the Yanks that he was staying with the Yanks. Money isn't everything, especially not in NYC.

Detroit is only 3.5 games out of the wild card. I think they would be interested in Alonso and McNeil. Detroit has a much better farm system than the Cubs.

The Mets pen might be the worst in baseball including some Minor League teams.
So they deal Alonso and then sign Soto and do him the same way they did Alonso lol makes sense OR u re sign Alonso ride it out this season and sign Soto in the off season now u have what u have NEVER had since Alonso got to the Big leagues u have an actual middle of a lineup. Alonso struggles because he has been a 1 man offense since his rookie season in 5 years they have NEVER addressed the DH or lineup protection.

Boras is his agent, the millionaire takes a team picture that looks King Baby on the iceberg. Cant hit for avg. Other than that he is going to 30 to 40 hrs. Slump like polar ice caps, more than breakout hitting sprees. He is going somewhere else because he already turned down the Mets offer.
I don’t know if you heard but it came out that the mets offered him a 7 year 158 million dollar extension this year which he turned down because boris is his agent. This contract although 1 year less has a higher aav then matt olsons contract and matt olson hit 52 homeruns last year, 283 batting average, with 139 rbi. Leaving the mets is completely on Pete. He bet on himself and is losing that bet. I’m very sad to let him go and he’s my favorite met but the mets tried and he refused a more than fair contract.
