- A San Diego woman was identified by her husband as the person who was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon when pro-Trump rioters breached the U.S. Capitol building.
There's a difference between voicing your opinion, and smashing down a door while a man points a gun at you.

Regular citizens and elected officials have had to go in to hiding since the election because of the threats from these Trump supporters and they were still allowed the ability to do this with only one person being killed by secret service and a handful arrested the day of this insurrection. The other deaths were caused by the victims fellow rioters or their own stupidity. There is no comparison between what happened at the Capitol this past week and the protest over the summer.

I think its still actually sad that she died, it would have been better if they had applied some OP crowd control measures like knockout gas or something, she should be in jail and not in a morgue. Of course i understand that cop only did what he had to do, and was just protecting the people inside the congress from a mob of several people carrying guns, some of which are probably willing to use them, and if they would have gone through it wouldnt be possible to stop them. So while i can see the "why did he shoot her, she wasnt armed" argument applied, yes she didnt point a gun to him, but probably had one, and 200 people behind her would have followed, some with guns, the officer would be dead in seconds if he engaged all those, i guess he just guessed that only shooting her before she could break through wouldnt start a shootout, and he got lucky to be right.
