I am using gold foil die cuts on my holiday cards and would like to use a gold metallic ink for the greeting. Which ink do you think would be the closest. I have the delicate galaxy gold, but it is too orangey. I tried wow gold embossing powder and it was a good match, but I don't have the patience to do all the cards. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much for all the information you provide.
AWESOME. THank you so very much for doing this. This is the BEST review I have seen of metallic stamp pads. I decided to buy stazon in black and delicata in gold because it's not affected by water. Ha, ha.
Geat video Jenny -- who woulda guessed that Colorbox would be a winner!? I certainly didn't since I have not had great luck with the Colorbox brand. It would be GREAT if you could do this again but with silver ink pads, same brands. I am not finding ANY in a search here on UA-cam but I'm wondering if the pads that did well with gold would hold their titles with silver. I have both Encore gold and silver but after seeing this video...I may invest in the Colorbox. Thanks so much for all you put into these comparison videos and testing of practically every product on the market for us papercrafters. Seriously...THANK YOU SO MUCH! -Sandra aka @timelesswhimsy/Periscope
Oh wow I was just trying to determine what gold ink pad to buy! This was super handy, but my choices were only Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold or the Artnic Gold. I cannot find any Artnic and Brilliance comparison unfortunately, but I found 1 Artnic swatch on white paper and it does look very similar to the Brilliance one. I kinda wanted vibrant gold but I couldn't find any other brands of pigment inks. :(
You had a very nice review of the gold inks, thank you! However, when you moved the paper to show the shimmer, I noticed the shimmer moved with each of the markers. I would not recommend using Copic (or alcohol) markers with any of the inks you showed. I think you would definitely risk ruining the nib & possibly the marker.) But, if you have extra nibs, you could replace the nib right away & the marker should still be good. Thank You again for sharing your comparison of the different inks.
Thank you very much for another very informative comparison. I like the Delicata-colour but not sure if I could get it here in Germany. By the way, all my ColourBox pads - that I've had for a few years - have dried out and I have no clue as to how to revive them. Do you have any idea? I already tried glycerine. :(
Delicata is gorgeous. Embossed beautifully. Colorbox is beautiful and so bright on the black paper! A nice Christmasy gold.
So sorry you don’t do more comps. I truly enjoy your thorough, detail driven, tutes on crafting items!
I was going to get the stazon gold but I'm glad I saw this first. Which brand do you think would do the best job on muslin fabric and be permanent?

Best review! First time using Delicata golden and I would like to know how long does it last (Approx. How many stamping?)
Monica, there is just no way I can provide that information! LOL!

Chrissie aka GermaicanLady I would recommend purchasing a re-inker.
Ok, thank you!
Chrissie aka GermaicanLady Hi, did you try the glycerin with water mixture? Also I believe "the frugal crafter" has a video on reviving ink pads.
Can you tell me your favorite silver stamp pad for fine lines please? Thanks!
