Sundays are normally a no DP day. We go to church in morning (which is about 1/2 hour away), stop at grocery store that is cheaper than store in our town, and stop to eat lunch before going home to drag all the groceries into the house and put everything away. By then, I am ready to sit and read my romance novel and escape for the afternoon with a bit of a nap squeezed in there. We only do that big grocery run about once a month but the other Sunday activities remain the same. So on Sundays my only diamond painting activity is watching others do it on UA-cam. Of course, even hubby knows that Sunday evening is saved to enjoy my time with Rebecca and fellow Zesties. ❤️
Today I -food shop ✅ -washing load ✅ -load in dryer ✅ -med boxes 3 weeks worth at once ✅ -listening too UA-cam whilst doiing said meds ✅ -I know what dinner will be (for once). Now sat doing some DP😊
Ola, Rebecca. Talita (from Brazil here), life is filled of ups and downs where ever you are. The important thing is to *not* give up,although there are days we feel it's never ending... I've been doing a bit better due to changing meds (I'm on a MS battle). My family is what keeps me going. I loathe cleaning but I have fun in the kitchen. Cooking seems to unstress me, except when some of the ingredients go bad and there's no way to substitute then.😡 Since I can't be upset for long, I tend to request help. Even though I dislike occupying others with my errands... 🤦🏼♀️ I've got I diamond painting to seal and a scarf to finish. I'll have a o find time next week for it all. 🤔 Sending lots of blessings and love to you all❣️
Well the kitchen is still not done and I'm now on steroids and antibiotics for a chest infection... at least I got half a Paintgem mini done while watching today.. no mean feat with shaking steroid fingers 😳 Much love to you all 🥰🫂💚
I’m back again :) I’m from Yorkshire and I always say some weird and wonderful phrases. My dad was sorting out a sink for me once. He said what type of sink I would like. I said a sinkwinize taps. I was trying to say ‘a sink with nice taps’ but with the speed I was talking and my Yorkshire accent it sounded like I wanted one of those synchronised taps 😂
Last Thursday I helped my daughter spring clean her house from top to bottom. We had to sort out all her 5 year old sons toys while he was at school. We threw away all the bits of toys or ones that were broken. When he came home from school he noticed and asked his mum were such and such a toy were. He’s madly into cars and have a ton of them and knows every single one. We took them to the tip so he couldn’t get them out if the bin. We then placated him by saying Father Christmas asked us to do it so there would be room for more new toys. That seemed to satisfy him 😅
Gosh those drills were very holey. I finished Fandango this weekend. The colours were wonderful and I added in some of your fairy dust drills. I’m So happy with the result. Now I feel the impetus to finish the other paintings. Hoping your quilting weekend went well. Blessings to you and your family.❤️
I’m just sorting some of my rooms out as I have dotting bits in nearly every room haha. When you were saying about ‘all that jazz’ I went to see Chicago in Bradford last Wednesday. It was fab! Me and mum were both singing and dancing to all that jazz when we were coming out of the theatre 😂
Hello everyone, I can agree with the deep clean. Our guests just left after staying with us for a month so as they left the first thing we got up to is a deep clean of the room and bathroom they were using and washing all the bedding etc. I'm very picky about being tidy so it's been a relief that I no longer have to keep cleaning up after multiple people.
Hi Rebecca, my partner has found his woodwork clamps to put on the lightpad/canvas rather than buying some towel clamps, and also I've got a tip to tell you, I've seen you cutting some of the glue dot from your pen (on your tip & tricks videos) rather than cutting the glue dot on your pen dab it on one of the cover paper, then do whatever you do with the pen afterwards, carry on with the good work x
I did the 12 days of Spookmas by DAS and I enjoyed it so much. Didn’t take me as long as the Christmas one as I had a system. I pulled all the colours needed for the chart I was working on and put them in trays so I wasn’t wasting time changing the drills in my tray. It only took me 13 days to do but I was doing a bit any chance I could. I’m sure Megan will love doing it too.
I’ve been to edingbourgh to collect my gold Dofe award a few years ago. We were one of the last groups the duke presented the award to :) the city is lovely. We went to weatherspoons for brekkie which is law when we go on our breaks away ❤ xx
Working on untangling a skein of yarn tonight. I started a painting from this company a few years ago, a really pretty pale colored horse with pink blossoms in the background. The drills were terrible quality, I think 762 was one of the worst offenders, gaps and bubbles in most of them. I also wasn't a fan of the adhesive, and the symbols were nearly impossible to read, even with a light pad and a craft lamp directly overhead. Once we get more unpacking done, hubby and I will be turning the second bedroom into a crafting space for my diamond paintings and yarn storage and his plastic models and 3D printer.
Hi Rebecca and Zesties! This is a bit off topic. I’ve been thinking about Dreamer Designs “Supernova” in my stash. Kinda wanting to start it, but I’m still working on a large 60x80 floral by Alissa Kari, in squares. Typically, when I do larger paintings I stay monogamous. For awhile here I haven’t been working on multiple kits at once. It makes me consider if I have storage or tools I should part with? Hahahahahaha. Just kidding , I do love my stuff! But still … Supernova! My dance card kinda feels kinda full because I want to do some events. And, for Jingle Drills, I want to work on my giant DAC Garfield Christmas canvas - it’s 70x70 and squares!
I have so many hobbies it’s hard to know what to work on. I have a haed cross stitch that has 249 colours, a knitted blanket I’m doing for my 1 year old grandson. Another big diamond painting called Honey from dreamers design and some off the canvas key rings plus knitted toys that I make and sell. I have no idea what to work on so I have downloaded the app tiny decisions and put them all in there. When I have free time I spin it. I have put every thing in three times saying either 2’ 4 or 6 hours. Then there’s a choice saying I chose or Mike chooses who is my husband. When it lands on Mike chooses he say clean the car? No no no. Definitely not cleaning the car in my free time. He then lets me choose 😅
I only have a small painting on the go at the moment but the house is turning up drillls in many different places again. By the way "the Move" is creaping along we are now no.2 in a 4 property chain. Earliest date to move would be week before Christmas but as there is a young family involved it may go till after Christmas maybe even New Year.
Ohhh…trudging wet laundry down the stairs to hang on the line would be awful. One good reason for not having the washer upstairs. The perfect solution to it all would be to have a cleaning lady who also does the laundry. It’s nice to dream, isn’t it? 😂
Hi Rebbecca! We have to pick up our orders at postal office or postal cupboard? (sorry no idea how to call it in English) but basically it is a big metal box with doors and you get a text with code. Very rarely anything gets delivered home from post, other companies do it more frequently but those closets have become a staple for everyone. There are like five different companies cupboards outside local supermarket now. About an unusual delivery, once got a call from neighbouring postal office inquiring why I had redirected my parcel from my postal office location to theirs (of course I did no such thing) and asked if I would come pick it up or should they send it back to my postal office and wait additional couple of days. I ended up going to pick the parcel up and had a laugh with the employee about the situation, someone or something doing a silly mistake.
Once awhile back when I has 4 kids at home and I worked. My 20 something niece came over, looked around and said your house is kind of messy. I thought to my self, this coming from someone without kids or husband or job. Hum.
I live alone and I try keep up with the house work every day I don't count laundry as a chore as its loaded up started then when the programme is done clothing hung up on a clothing rail in my sewing room and and the bedding and towels are hung up on the airing racks in the sewing room I diamond paint sew and knit I'm knitting a lot at the moment jumper's I started at the beginning of the year and I've made all three jumpers longer the diamond painting I'm doing at the moment is the Santa coca cola truck from TEMU but I can only work on that in good daylight

Sorry missed the word RAIN in the last text . My wounds have all healed and I managed two sections on my painting.
On the colourful pen I bought when I use it the metal ends comes away when I place the diamonds
