I’ve had my cold steel Kobun for years. It’s seen duty on the battle belt, clipped to my “ survival “ backpack, and equipped with a tek lok for basic belt attachment. I try to not use it as much as possible because I have it purposed as a defense blade rather than a task/bushcraft knife. But there’s a hole at the base for a nice 550 cord knot. And it’s hard to tell looking at it but it has just a slight bulge in the rubberized grip that really fills the hand nicely. Perhaps the most fascinating thing about it is..... the included sheath doesn’t completely suck!! I know I know. None of us expected that. But truly, positive retention, hardware mounting holes compatible with our favorite aftermarket clips. Not a bad set up at all and I wanna say when i got it years ago it was very affordable. I wanna say around $35 or $40. Great knife from Cold Steel.
I was in the Army years ago, one of our platoon sergeants was a Vietnam Special Forces vet...some guy had a boot knife. Sarge grabs him from behind, says go for your knife! The guy couldn't reach it. Sarge says now grab for your belt...which of course the guy COULD reach. Lesson learned...
No they aren't. They fail miserably. Schrade doesn't care about their designers or their costumers. Just ask Chris Tanner of Prepared Mind 101 right here on UA-cam. He'll tell you the REAL TRUTH about Schrade.
Found em after a little bit of searching, on Amazon they are the “First Tactical Men's Tactical 7" Operator Boot” however from what I’m seeing they no longer have the brown only black

Nothing but Schrade and Gerber..moving along..
My favorite is the amphibian by Kershaw, vintage. Love it
The Gerber and cold steel in getting.. I collect neck knives.. And I've had a Gerber that I've carried for 17 year's now.. I love it

So the guy couldn't lift his 🦵? Lol
@@BenThuAlot Yeah it’s far more awkward when someone has you from behind! It was pretty funny regardless.
@@asmith7876 nah im sure...i was bsn lol
Why not carry both?
Though Schrade knives are not synonymous with quality they look great and the quality is good enough for EDC.
how would you qualify them quality wise?

What are the boots in the thumbnail?

Missed my TWO ! 1) CRKT MINIMALIST, 2) LE DUCK . Look that one up
That looks cool and very sharp…
Schrade just had the same design for every knife it didn't change much and seems to large for a boot knife
Schrade makes very nice EDC boot knives
What no KA BARS? And the proper term for "blood grove" is Fuller, Schade should know better. GERBER makes a great boot/river knife too.
Every single one is currently unavailable....(displeased face)
Gerber Patriot, since 1998.
You guys cant even get the brands right, IE: its 5.11 not Gerber
🤠🤠🤠🙏🙏🙏

Schrade is a HORRIBLE company. They don't know a fuller isn't a "blood grove They make very poor quality products.
