DESIGNED AND BUILT MOSTLY MY OWN.
I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THESES GUY'S FOR BUILDING AND I MEAN BUILDING SUCH BEAUTIFUL AIRCRAFT. (NOT READY TO FLY INTERNET TOYS ).
AS A OLD FRIEND OF MINE SAID IF YOU CAN'T AFORD TO LOOSE IT DON'T DO IT .
BUT MY HART GOES OUT TO ALL YOU GUY'S IV BEEN THERE MY SELF OVER THE YEARS . YOU ARE A CREDIT TO OUR HOBBY FOR SUCH CRAFTSMANSHIP AND ENGINEERING THAT IS FAST DISAPPEARING AND NOT JUST IN OUR GREAT HOBBY AS LARGE MODEL AIRCRAFT ENTHUSIAS. IN GENERAL 👍
wow - many thanks for your thoughts and comments mal - pete
The pilot in me is always disappointed in how much I enjoy these videos. The air traffic controller in me LOVES IT - ‘pilot error’ and no fatalities every time!
lol
Lmao
Didn’t know u would be here
Offers the poster a free glass of what ever the bar has to offer
Glad I'll 6
Being a person that has tried his hand at RC aviation. I have respect for these guys and girls. Every one of my flights ended up just like these.
Try using a flight simulator like Realflight to practice, it’ll both save you a lot of money and help you pick up skills very quickly
Just send me the planes and I’ll fly em for you 😂
I built 5 balsa airplanes teaching myself to fly. We didn't have sims back then. Get realflight. I've done it all and nothing is more fun than single engine propeller aircraft. If you had interest before, you will absolutely love it. It's more fun than you ever thought once you overcome control reversal syndrome with the sim. A sim will do this way cheaper than the $1000 I spent.
Thanks.. it takes time and money.
It’s tough when they crash...
@@Nothinglefttosay
Trust me.....I get it, all to well
Best comment: “They don’t explode like they used to.” Spot on!
lol
Wah kpl nya seru banget wow mantap sekali bos ku semangat trus moga sukses selalu ya hadir menyimak
The poor F20... I guess they where never destined to fly! Lovely Airframe
"They don't explode like they used to " !! Love it !!
lol - yes
As a youngster I spent many painstaking hours building a balsa wood model. A Texas trainer.I made many mistakes it being my first build. My older cousin Kevin, with building experience helped me correct those and get it flight ready. That day came and then the biggest mistake happened.😥😥😥 There were no survivors. Cheers!
„Wenn einer, der mit der Mühe kaum, geklettert ist auf einen Baum, nun meint ein Vöglein wär, so irrt sich der!“
The poor pilot trying to get the Spitfire airborne with multiple failed take-off attempts! 😂
Good to see many were repairable accidents rather than write offs, but sad about that poor Tiger Moth that broke up and went it.
cheers sam
4:45 is why all our fields are tree free .
All the boring bits cut out -- but with some nice saves, and clap-worthy landings -- not all tragedy! Really enjoyable footage.
That is what i loved about Monocote, it was such a nice bag to carry your re-kitted plane home in.
Although we didn’t see it in this video, I think the wife who brings out a trash bag to her mate is the ultimate walk of shame!
I learnt to fly RC planes from reading lots of articles in magazines like RC Modeler, Model Airplane News and RCM&E. That is where I got the idea of keeping trash bags in the car for accidents. Today, it seems that knowledge is lost. No one in this video had trash bags to help recover the many pieces they had to pick up. Maybe it is because all the RC magazines have disappeared!
The bags don't consume any significant space in your car, but are excellent for picking up all the small pieces from a crash. The decision to repair ar rebuild is much easier if you have 100% of the planes parts. Also, this is a decision that can only be done outside of the heat of the moment. Also, it makes the retrieval of the parts easier and you are less likely to drop a servo or battery somewhere in the field. It keeps the field cleaner too as well as the trunk of your car. Also, instead of the black bags, there are nice strong translucent green ones which allow easier picking through the small parts in the bag.
i think you might need to see a trash bag therapist chris !
Dang, allot of those mishaps are rookie mistakes. Those models they are flying are NOT for rookies. Lol
That's exactly what I was thinking...what are these guys who don't know how to fly doing with this level of expensive airplanes? I am not the best RC pilot, but man, these guys are really rookies!
I agree it looks like rookies with too much money on their hands so they buy the nicest model
@@Rylifts109 💩 happens yall
La réplica a escala del F-104 de la Marina Alemana esta muy realista e impecable.
El aeromodelismo el entretenimiento con técnica !!!
Mis sinceras Felicitaciónes a todos los modeĺistas !!!!
@@Rylifts109 Why not spend the cash on a nice high-wing with lots of ply, spruce, and basswood?
Some of these models are insanely expensive. I’m into the hobby myself and I’ve always been of the opinion that the more expensive the less fun to fly because I’m focused more on keeping it intact then having fun.
yep that can be true i guess, it depends on your out look on life and also monetary expenditure as well - earnings
That's why I love foamies so much. Put the biggest engine the fuselage can handle into it, and just go balls out - and if it crashes, it's less than 200 dollars spent.
Haha big appreciation for F-20 Tigershark Steve steve stevie wonder...
Tip of the day: super glue and accelerator 😆
Now that was some sad show. Always good to know that crashes and mishaps happen to the best of us. Thanks for sharing
thanks addict
So many hours of labor destroyed in 1 second. It hurts my heart to see these beautiful planes crash!
so true
That spit fire got me craacking
I’ve been there and done that in the past but the one that cracked me up is AT-6 Texan trying to takeoff crosswind at 3.14. It was just too funny
So sad to see them destroyed..but that’s part & parcel of this hobby. It’s really interesting to see how the scale models react similar to the real thing.. The Spitfire pecking the deck with its prop. I have a couple of foamy Spits, a Mk1 and Mk24, and a Lancaster.. but I have never flown the Lanc, instead it’s hanging from the ceiling of my man cave - I’m just not brave enough 😄
go on woo - DOOOO IITTTTTTTTTT
Well I love to see them fly , but the crashes are just as fun to watch sorry for the ones who lost their planes
cheers terry
Man, all these circle flyer models had so many more circles to fly!
I like that they were not all disasters. Many were "that could have gone worse". On every 5th or 6th one I can almost hear a kids voice saying "Now do you believe me that you need new glasses?"
Very nice John Deere gator at 5:21 👍
lol
4:45 "Show us what this thing can do..." Smoking pile of debris
4:47 Reminds me of the tree that used to eat Charlie Brown's kite.
I always enjoy watching your videos, especially as I've been away from the hobby for a few years....keep up the good work !
Paul.
Thank you very much paul, much appreciated - pete
@@tbobborap1 ok I'm hooked and amazing how they sound like the Big guys thank you for sharing
Beautiful F-20 brought down by the dreaded SAM.... Surface to Air Maple.
lol
I love seeing them crater! great video
Thanks for watching!
The best part of rc is that when you crash no one gets hurt, and then you have a new project.
Got to love the pinut gallery just full of information
cheers tim
I started with RC Airplanes, and went to RC Helicopters. Now I fly drones commercially.
Beautiful models so sad to see the crashes
I’ve always advocated RC guys taking a couple actual flying lessons. So much can be gleaned from the experience…even in 1-2 hours. But…it’s their time and money.
Rubbish
@@wazza7575 lol, give me some reasons why not? Throttle control, Speed Control, Stabilized approaches, landing straight using the rudder, coordinated flight, stalls...all that can be seen in a couple hours of flying and in the pattern with an instructor. It translates directly to R/C flying. been doing both more than 40 years...I don't spew BS.
@@jimharley4112 As I was being introduced to the president of the local RC club, I said with some pride that I'd been flying full scale for about 35 years. He looked me straight in the eye and said, "We can teach you in spite of that."
There was an element of truth to what he was implying but my knowledge of "real airplanes" was helpful, I think. Even so, flying RC has its own challenges, which I soon learned the hard way. Most important: stabilized approach and good airspeed control.
"go on Steve, show us how it's done!"... SMASH
@4:42 - Lets see what this can do..... Flys in through a tree. This is hilarious. i had to watch it about 6 times. So funny. crying with laughter. Ill bet it was expensive
I’ve built a few larger airplanes but I must say, I draw the line at ones that require a two man lift😉🤣
Outstanding photography. Beautiful aircraft, Impressive crashes and sad losses. But at least it’s on film
cheers keith
Store clerk: "Can I help you?"
RC pilot: "I want a refund". "This plane only flies into trees".
"What is your name, sir?"
"Charlie Brown."
Thanks for posting, been enjoying your channel for years.
thanks RC - I appreciate that - pete !
The way that F20 morphed through that tree and exploded was insane. :(
The only thing missing is an RC rescue squad vehicle racing to the rescue.
Feel bad for anyone that crashes, those are some nice planes. But crashing is part of our hobby. We always learn from a crash. Nice video.
thanks tech
Which is why I prefer Radio controlled yachts
LOL
*Nice compilation.* It's always bad to see such beautiful models getting destroyed. But there also was a couple of good saves to see. 👍😎
cheers horst, hope alls well with you and your family my friend !
@@tbobborap1 everything fine here. thanks for asking Pete 🤙😎
good to hear m8
Especially that BAe Hawk that had an engine-out.
*moments 2021*
Rip planes !
Spitfire RG-V did a superbly controlled belly landing. Hope it was just a touch-up repair and back to the skies!
alls well with malcoms spitfire thanks, check her out flying in several videos on our playlist if you like - ua-cam.com/video/zYcy0TBBdpA/v-deo.html

Nice to see my F20 got the main picture😎 every cloud and all that…
LOL - cheers steve,
Oh the humanity!
no zeppelins caught fire in this video curt
@@tbobborap1 😃😄😅
Beautiful models ! Happy for the ones that will get to fly another day 👌
thanks john
always really enjoy wathcing these! lots to learn from! I feel so sorry for that Memphisto and that F20 Tigershark tho....
Glad you enjoyed it wolf !
Watch out for that tree. Lol
@5:14 the most reassuring comment ever!
I love how they all seem to be in good spirits even if their model crashes. Usually laughing or cracking jokes with others
they have to or they will get depressed
as sad as it is, its a part of the hobby. And especially with those larger models the cost does not quite matter to them. Those are quite wealthy people mostly...
And the pilot of the blue and yellow plane at 6:16 doesn’t even care…..
They’re actually dying inside and want to scream. 🥴
Spitfire guy cant catch a break.
And a good time was had by all!
2:14 - fine pair of lungs....
ohhh yesssss
@ 2:55 reminds me. A story of training before the war,,in England,, with a Republic Thunderbolt driver. American Trainee took up a BRAND NEW Thunderbolt for a check flight one day. Decided to buzz his buddies crossing a foot bridge on the base. Zoomed a bit to low and caught the tree tops on the opposing side of the bridge. He thought he was dead. Came out the other side,,spitting sticks,, with the motor barely turning,, leading edge of the T-bolt wing was pounded flat,, gun barrels were bent back,,canopy smashed and minor cuts ensued, only 1/2 a rudder. It brought him back to the airstrip for a hard-down landing. He walked away.,,,with LOADED Britches!!
great story
@@madhukarjonathanminj2772 I would guess they would have put him in some type of craft to fight eventually, if his mind made it thru relatively unscathed, and he didn't get the Blackball, by a hater. Lucky man for him and them, and lucky to be in that flying tank.
ah man......that is going to leave a mark.
Tbh I like those videos because I know the pain those people suffer. At the end of the day it's just a toy for normal people.. But for hobbyists it's someone you spend a lot of time with someone you put money and effort in, basically a relationship.. And on those days your partner gets hurt
well said pete
Líke friend saludos ✈
thanks, just subed you back
They say the good RC airplane landing is one in which you only have to bend over once to pick up the plane after it lands. I saw a lot of repeat bending over in these videos.
3:25 when the wife asks you to mow the lawn
Some of these pilots must have been Navy pilots .
'Aviators'
@@RideAcrossTheRiver That is correct Sr . Aviators . Sorry my mind is slipping away from me . Thanks for reminding me . I should known this as I was in the Navy a long time ago .
A friend of mine and I went with his Grandfather to watch him
Fly his RC plane. It was airborne for about 10 seconds until
Is nosedived into the ground and was destroyed.

5:40 the best looking jet ever made! Its hard to fly the wings are very small, and you must landing with higher speed like a other jet! The sound from a real Starfighter F-105 is unbelivebel loud and very cool, like not from this planet! Sorry for my bad english best wish Reiner from Germany
many thanks reiner
hurts so good its not me this time lol
lol
How was the second one a mishap? I think he handled that pretty well
Love the video guys
thanks cleon
Those rc aircraft look to nice I'd be too scared to own and fly one.
Beautiful planes btw
Thanks a lot!
There must be a perverse joy in the hearts of the folks that design and/choose rc airfield locations. So many trees
Also, a pavement roller might help some of these grass fields.
5:17 "They don't explode like they used to!"
Classic British I guess
Two types of RC models;
1. Those that have crashed
2. Those that will crash.
Mark didn't even ease off the throttle m8 straight into the long grass full pelt 🤣🤣🤣
yep - not sure what he was thinking !
2:15 I know why there's so many crashes
Awesome video 👍good luck
Thanks for the visit

The spitfire sounded like an edge trimmer
thats because it has a modified edge trimmer engine in it brian,
I have doing this so many times
I have stopped counting 🤓
Nice hobbie, I fly for a, while, but very exoensive $$$ now, a, prefer the weapons,
They say its a good landing if you don't have to bend over more than once to pick up your plane
LOL that jet hit that tree so hard that the tree did not even know the plane was even heading for it .
Wonder why they do not put a bit of weight on the taildraggers to prevent prop face planting ?
because they will be tail heavy and uncontrollable in flight leading to a crash ! the undercarriage needs raking forward at the wheels to stop the model from tipping over - but then it would not look scale !
I’m sure I saw a Skyraider at the end, are you flying at North Weald? I’ve e been there few times, I’ve enjoyed a couple of your videos now thanks.
I subbed.
glad you enjoy our vids adrian and many thanks for subscribing to our channel - pete

Noooo! Not me ole spitty!
yep afraid so mudders !
Textbook walk of shame if I thought it right before he said it
It wasn't the pilot's fault! Those trees jumped in the way. 😁
lol

You can see him start pulling his nose up at the last second as he realized what was about to happen.
we've all had crashes. anyone that's flown r/c for more than a few months and says they haven't is lying. the key is to start off with a simple trainer, and have someone help ya with a buddybox. practice that trainer plane till you can do half of the stuff that the more advanced planes can do. and you'd be surprised at what a plane like the hobbico superstar40 can do. that's when ya move on to something a bit more advanced. regardless of what kind of airplane you're flying, practice your landings. i've personally spent afternoons at the airfield where i did nothing but take off and land. it sounds boring. but it works. also practice slow flight when you're up high enough to recover a stall. see how slow you can keep control of your airplane. all of these things will help ya not dork it on the landing...which it looks like most in this video were doing. none of this is intended to be critical.
thanks for the advice cap 👍
