I got one and it's nice small and well assembled watch. It has a flaring fixed bezel, which I have no idea if it's a feature they copied from the original. The dial is pleasantly clean and the hands are nicely done and not a straight copy neither of the original that had straight batons, nor the current generations of Explorer that features the Mercedes hands. This Mathey-Tissot managed to put its own logo instead of the triangular Mercedes triangle and it took me some time to realize this was the linked M & T of the logo on the hour's hand.
I keep trying work down in size and I’ve discovered 38 mm is my absolute minimum. I like the trend to more discrete sizing and proportions, good review, nice work.
They also used to craft their own movements, but not anymore which is a downside bcuz i own one Mathey Tissot and it's my favorite watch yet. Been impressed by the quality.
Yes Peseaux are now part of ETA, they were originally took over by ETA’s predecessor (Ebauches SA), more widely known for their manual wind movements including the excellent Peseaux (ETA) 7001 used by various brands including Omega at one stage (651 series). I wouldn’t trust Mathew-Tissot though but maybe I’m wrong.
The peseux used here has nothing to do with ETA. They registered a trademark peseux1923 in 2020 which has some provisional refusal from swissreg for misleading. They assemble some obscure seagull Ébauche somewhere in Switzerland and brand it peseux244 swissmade, it is a scam!!!!
Mathey-tissot brand was registered in 1995 by E. Mathey-Tissot et Co. S.A first registered in Les Ponts-de-Martelin, then in Fribourg city during 2005. Please explain how MT and peseux can use the 'Swiss MADE' STAMPING ON A MOVEMENT AND USING their TRADEMARK AS SIP ON A MOVEMENT/WATCHES ISSUED BEFORE THEY EVEN GOT APPROVAL TO USE THE BRAND AND BEFORE THE BRAND WAS GRANTED PROTECTION !!! Do they want to talk about the automatic Chrono you have been selling since February 2020, yes, February 2020 with a peseux 352? MT (and Mr Vincent Ho) were selling the watch in Asia before fhp1923 was registered! And before the peseux trademark was approved, but the 'peseux' was already applied and used on the movements...
@@johnmuthan286 . Good man, thanks for that. To be honest, I was only answering Chris’s question about Peseaux in general. That said it is good to know what is going on with these companies. My memories of this brand in general are of low quality items purporting to be Swiss but originating from the East somewhere. Very informative read from yourself - Thank you.
The second edition has the aged lume on it. I have this one and it's legitimately one of my favourite watches. Vincent does some really amazing watches.
Nice watch ! But AMWG lists 11mm as the height of the current 2nd. edition . Is the watch you measure as just over 13 a first edition watch maybe? AMWG does not reply … I love to have a small watch , but 13mm is getting a bit chunky . Thanks for the review very helpful ! Rgds , Remco
I saw this watch awhile back and looked into but the size is just way too small. Today I received my San Martin 1016 explorer homage and it's beautiful and just under 39mm.
Well, if I lost 100lbs getting back to my high school weight back in the late 70's; I could pull it off. If it were 39mm, possibly since there's no bezel to speak of. Most of my watches are in the 42mm-48mm range. Attractive piece though.
Be careful, tgis brand and this specific watch is more than fishy!!! The movement is strange and assembled in Switzerland, thus 'swissmade' badge, but has nothing to do with real swiss product. Even the peseux brand they use to mark the movement has several provisional refusal from swissreg for being misleading!!!! Vincent Ho who sells this watch through AMWG is known for being a scamer in Asia and Hong Kong and as several people going after him for selling fakes!!!!
Be careful of what you said. No one will trust you with those statement without evidences. Feel free to make a video about it if u got any proof. I saw your bullshit on other reviewer's video of this MT369 a few months ago and I cant stand it.
@John Muthan I’ve been seriously considering buying an AMWG watch, including this MT369 when I read your comments. Is there any way I can reach out to you to hear your side of the story about Vincent?
Reviewing a new watch which you say is probably sold out already..... I wish reviewers would stop pandering to the manufacturers. Stop reviewing watches that cannot be bought new without premiums. Start calling out makers who artificially create shortages. Rolex should not get away with this so lesser companies absolutely should not.
@@biswasronit you talking about dress watches? lol. but even micro brand watches who cost way less have standard 100m water resistance these days. guess that is my point.

The bezel is a nod to the 1016 Explorer. The 5500 bezel wasn't so 1016-ish.
Love the vintage sizing and the vintage dial!

I'm Happie after watchin your video, Chris.
Stunning watch ❤️
I have small wrists, but dang 34 mm. 36 is my minimum.
34mm is girl zone..🤣😆🤣 36mm good..
It's a good size. I wear an old style Air King which is 34 mm and it wears beautifully if you want a watch that slips easily under your sleeve.
They also used to craft their own movements, but not anymore which is a downside bcuz i own one Mathey Tissot and it's my favorite watch yet. Been impressed by the quality.
It's an upside. If the company made their own movements the watch would cost 15 times as much.

I heard 34mm and my 6 - 6.25 inch wrists got excited.
Then I heard 48mm from end link to end link... Why.
They're trying to be like Hamilton 😅
Too small for me, but do a 40mm or bigger and I’ll buy one, a black faced one. What a beauty.😎

If this was 38mm it would be perfect

Never seen a Mercedes with mercedes hands, to be honest.
