The cave was cool. I just visited one last week, more tourists-based compared to the one you found but still neat to see what lies underneath the earth.

Hey Hannah, just got done binging all your videos, and you’re by far my fave internet person!! You, and other van lifers have really inspired me to get out there and explore our amazing country! I’ve been going back and forth between getting a van, or trading in my F-150, for a F-250. I think if I was living in it full time I’d get a van, but since I’ll be just traveling with it, a truck, and a pop up camper will fit my needs best. Anyways, sorry for rambling, keep up the great work, and I’ll keep watching, and maybe we might bump into each other some day at some hot spring!!
If you decide on a pop-up camper your F-150 should be able to tow that, no problem.

Thx for you too ! Big insekts of Hundertfüsler oder Riesenblutasseln , Spiders and Scorpion ! Always use a line of way go inside caves ! By double grounds with gas in air is same like in water exists two steps possible !

go back every December, you can snow board Haleakala crater at 5AM and catch 20-50' breaks at JAWS Pia at lunch

Great video Doc! Those cave dives are so cool! The only cave I've really spent time in is Moaning Caverns near Calaveras County in Norcal. We would repel down about 200ft and then explore or climb the steel spiral staircase (made from a WW1 battleship.

Living in Maui from 2001-2008 working for Goodfellow Brothers construction, wild fires would spark from storms during summer with less trade winds bringing rain and just pop up storms bringing lightning , we would mobilize bulldozers to cut fire breaks but my best friend Enoka fell in lava tube with Cat D8 dozer, knocked him out but he was ok, take away was a lava tube so close to surface a Caterpillar D8 dozer fell 60 feet

That’s some amazing scenery. I’d definitely explore those caves, right up until I had to crawl. The only time I’m claustrophobic is when I can’t at least halfway stand up. And at 6”3’ it doesn’t take long. Take care my friend you look beautiful as always.

Good day my dear Dr. Hannah and thank you for gracing my Tuesday. This video, this place is incredible! And I’m not talking about the store where you got the banana bread, although that did look really yummy! I never thought about a loaf of banana bread as a “hand” food. All throughout your forest walk I was thinking, where could this be? Lava tubes, rain forest, waterfalls, caves? I commend you for your adventurous nature in descending down as far as you did, not much of a spelunker myself. Thanks for taking me along 🤗
now that you mentioned it walking around eating a full loaf of bread is kind of strange haha. The lava tube is around 25 miles long
@@DrHannahStraight depends, did you get many “looks”? If not, do it again and often! EEK…25 miles…that’s some lava tube! And to think, you explored just a fraction of it. The walls did look silvery, makes me wonder 🤔
