Absolutely love the tone
Has anyone compared this to Harley Benton hybrid nylon? It would be good to hear this played by a nylon player who has some flamenco tapping technique and really gets this style of guitar. you learned to pronounce cor-doba, now pi-e-zo (pee-ate-zo) is your next challenge! French physicist Pierre Curie , working with his older brother Jacques, found that putting pressure on two materials created electricity (the name comes from piezein - Greek for “squeeze”). Thanks for the video!
Harley Benton tiene un otre sonido....y steg otre... ok...vale cuando gusta...el pfregunte de sabor.
Amplified, this has a very clean, beautiful sound.
Is the multiac capable of this same sound?
@@davidcox2197 better
I expect this thing to sell well.
I am not sold on the tone, but it’s like half the price of a Godin so I’m pretty impressed still. Nylon is for sure having its comeback moment
I tried one out recently and the tone is more impressive in real life when you add more of the body to it
Good to know. I own 2 Godin multiacs but am getting this next week without a test drive
@@MS-yq2wi Hi, did you get it? What are your impressions?
Tested it and wasn’t completely sold . Of all the acoustic electrics I’ve played, hard to compare to Godin Multiac series. They’re just at another level. No disrespect to Cordoba. It was a good sound. But I’ll stick to Godin. Maybe my personal preference 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks for messaging.
@@MS-yq2wi so, what do you think?
Hi. It is CÓRdoba. Even the Brand logo, smartly put the accent sign over the "O" as is written in Spanish. So, it indicates that this is the syllable to be pronounced the strongest.
good to know.
Here's a tip... do a Ibanez TOD10N review for subscribers to compare to the Cordoba Stage.
These guitars are competing directly.
Thanks!
Great content!
This kills Tim Hensons guitar before most people even get theirs on back order.
Stress the first o from the left: Córdoba.... By the way this guitar sounds amazing!
I’m wondering how it would sound if it were a thicker body like a violin style back.
the same, it will still sound like turds
Sounds way better than 3/4 of the wood instruments you find at the big box stores, even of the same manufacturer. No diss to Cordoba, but I'd take this one at this price point, and worry about a higher end instrument later.
When is your next Road Show? You guys are sooo much fun to watch. My first classical guitar is and always will be a Cordoba; for the money the best Classical guitars on the planet. I did buy an electric Classical guitar (not a Cordoba, only because this was not available when I purchased it). Again, just a phenomenal guitar at this price point. Keep up the good work!
Hmm, and there's another genre, what's it called...oh, JAZZ. Lots of nylon string in jazz.
You guys speaking of “tapping, and body sounds”, gave me this big jolt of reality… Damn it! I am so old that I can remember when the acoustic guitar was NOT a percussion instrument!
Go listen to some Charlie Patton from the late 20s. He did percussion...
ua-cam.com/video/kxO2752Zt7A/v-deo.html
Styles like Flamenco utilize a lot of percussive techniques on the guitar and that genre is quite old. I'm not sure this is a new v old school thing, but rather the genre of music you like to play
it's always been a percussion instrument. The guitar is a drum with strings.
@@migueldemaria3830 not when I play. I strum, finger pick and flat picking my guitars, but I don’t beat on their tops… If I am in a percussive mood, I sit down at a drum kit…
Polyphia got me checking nylon string guitars.
The guy on the right, the channel owner (I think) looks like the actor Lee Pace. Lee Pace famously played the king of elves in LOTR, and recently the emperor Cleon in the Apple's Foundation series. Don't believe me, just compare pictures. They must be brothers.
the problem with this guitar ,is using Fishman pick ups,,i had 2 guitars with fishman pick up and i noticed .low volume, after 2 years the system did worn. and that "blend "is unuseful, is better have and EQ box in the guitar ,like any acoustic guitar with EQ and volume, tone knob and you set up and the taste you want. fishman is going down now ,they came out with a guitar amp and microphone input ,and any other brand is better than fishman amp
That is a lovely sound, and eminently tweakable. Thanks for this.
Should have tried the tapping pickup at least once! Oh well, next time. Thanks .
Sound nice and have a reasonable price, so, what is wrong ?
Dang Quinton, that's some my tea fine pickin' for a hillbilly!
I like this guitar but why do you do this to me? I came to check out the Martins!
...mighty fancy!
I play a Godin Multiac Concert but just got this Cordoba. Do you find that A, D, and G string are less present when only piezo volume is up? When I blend with body sensor this strings project more. I’m liking everything on this guitar but that . Maybe piezo is not set correctly or defected if this not happening to others
It’s been a challenge to dial those strings in. Still working at it. I play traditional classical and spanish. I really am enjoying it.
Guys, take into account the sound comes from a little Fishman amp.. in a big PA system this guitar should sound much better.. I own the Godin Multiac Grand Concert and it's a great instrument, but extremely delicate specially with the pietzos for each string, they fail after some time due to humidity and they are not easy or cheap to fix.. so, I'm considering this Cordoba to be my main guitar, specially because the Godin pickups don't pick up the percussive stuff on the body and I think is not as delicate as well.. I'm not selling my Godin, but who knows, If I really like this one, I might have to sell it!
I know about Spain just enough to rightly say that the right accent of the name is on the fisrt "o" but if you don't trust me... well, ok... anybody can see the right accent written on the title of the video...😛😛💪🏼💪🏼
Dr King has a sensitive side, Bravo !
Downside of 48mm neck, if you aren't careful with vibrato on the high-E , the string can easily pop off the fretboard.
These are not quiet guitars unplugged. When I play mine on the couch I have to play lightly or my family can't hear the tv!
Yo tengo Cordoba - iberia C 4
y soy feliz.....no comprar otre...
I have one of these and it is my favorite guitar that I have ever played.
I bought the traditional model with the cedar top and wider fretboard. It's everything I've ever wanted in a guitar. Cordoba has hit a grand slam with the Stage series.
Cool review!
The middle knob carves out the mids
It looks a lot like an Ovation.
Except it doesn't have the curved back. I always disliked the way an Ovation would slide down because of the curved back while sitting.
@@justsomeguy1074 You'll notice that I said that it looks a lot like an Ovation, and not exactly like an Ovation.
@@craigjhr Yeah I'm just glad it doesn't have that silly curved back.
Moon River
Is this guitar made in Spain or China?
China
@@tberrardy Thanks Terry. For me that is a no go.
👏굿
Can’t find a lefty , SO, I built my own. And built one for my brother.
Chet??? - get outa here!!! - don't you mean JERRY REED!!!, you Fool.😂🤣😂
Kirk Sand. There, I said it. NO ONE mentions this? Why? You mentioned Chet Atkins... who owned one of Sand's early guitars. Tommy Emmanuel also has a Sand guitar. You think CORDOBA didn't have their hands on one? IMPOSSIBLE. So why the absolute moratorium on mentioning Kirk Sand Guitars? It's like you, all the other reviewers - and even Cordoba itself - don't mention the obvious. You afraid? I dare say yes. Kirk Sand Guitars is the OBVIOUS guitar to compare your Stage Cordoba to! As much as I'd like to get my hands on one of these new Cordoba's, I'm detecting some major stink by your review... or should I say LACK of the OBVIOUS review.
To all your nylon electric wannabe's, I recommend waiting until Cordoba, or any other "reviewer" grows a pair and actually COMPARES your axe to the obvious real contender in the ring.
This is a $699 guitar, it's not designed or intended to compete with a custom luthier built instrument. And no, I don't think Cordoba had one to compare with it. They were looking at Godin, maybe the Yamaha SLG200N.
Good lord calm down.
Chill man
Well Rockefeller.I don't have $3000 -$5000 to spend.I do have $700.Therein lies the difference
@@steveelbert6996 yeah others say the Stage is not as good as a top line Godin Multiac. That's not a surprise either.
