I just received mine today. It is exquisite in appearance, tone, and playability. I am not disappointed at all, other than I can see that the strings need to be replace.
I play in a big band, and I usually play my archtop (Eastman AR805CE). I got a lot of compliments from the band about the beautiful tone and clarity of the jazz chords. This guitar is rapidly becoming my favorite guitar.
Played my first solo gig with it last night, 1-27-23, classic rock stuff, looping etc. it inspired me to go way beyond my normal comfort zone. Changed my whole gig and I LOVED it!!!
@@WombatStevejust stopping in to say, I use a good deal of crunch. I’m running my Cordoba stage through a Marshall solid state stack funny enough. This thing is very interesting. Takes a lot of messing with the tone to get it right but it’s such a nice playing, looking, and sounding guitar once you do. Responds very well to distortion. The final knob on the bottom is the “mic” blend so you can bring in JUST enough microphone that you get the soft round tone into the distortion, but not so much that it feeds back. It almost always feeds back if you crank that knob though and you’re playing LOUD. Most the time though, it’s very good at isolating the signal.
I’m happy with my purchase overall as I wanted something to practice fingerstyle and Spanish strumming on that wouldn’t eat through my nails like my steel strings can do. It passes on that front. I do plan to have the frets addressed by a tech since they feel gritty. Basically everything is flawless excluding the smoothness of the frets
love to know this... I notice you have mic in front of guitar but when we heard iton outro is it mic'ed and also direct both at same time ? what was it plugged into ? as well thanks
Okay, for someone looking for an imitation nylon string sound then this is the ticket. As a background guitar this works fine. But as a solo instrument playing classical pieces or jazz pieces; no way. Some Jazz players might still use it but much is lost in way of the sound. Think ukulele. It does seem to accentuate the scratchy screechy sounds of fingers shifting over the strings when amplified. You can here that in the demonstration above. Many players don’t even pickup on it like the reviewer above. Perhaps it is due to the pickup system Cordoba installed in these guitars. I own one and it sits in its case mostly. I waiting for Cordoba Stage 2.0 to come out. Perhaps new owners of Cordoba, Yamaha will decide they can do better and come out with it.
Damn this is a beautiful guitar. Was looking an acoustic & Tim Henson dropped his new signature nylon guitar. That's a gorgeous guitar too. I bought it partially off the hype. Then I saw this beauty & now im seriously considering cancelling & getting this one instead.
@Daniel I ruled out the Cordoba. If I wasn't such a big fan of Tim & Polyphia. I probably would go with that one though. I like that you can blend the two pickups on the Cordoba. Seems like it may give you a better variety of tone. However, id be running either through Neural DSP so I don't think it really matters since I can really dial it in with that. I think anyone would be happy with either guitar though. If I do switch it up, I would go with a regular classical nylon instead. I don't think Nylon-Electrics can really match their acoustic resonance & tone. But the ease of using plugins/amps, and recording make them more appealing to me. I don't have to pay until ~March when it ships, so i'll decide then lol.
I've got a Godin like this Unless you have a good sound man it's hard to cut through on stage . My experience great guitars tho and will produce any sound you want.
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess But few are stage friendly in loud venues where feedback is an issue. The Tim henson guitar sounds terrible (at least for natural flamenco, classical guitar sounds). It's between this and the godin
It sounded cheap only when miced in the room, cause the acoustic sound isn't much to write home about. But the plugged tone is really surprisingly good. I haven't played this myself, but based on videos it is up there with Godin and the rest of the overpriced ones. Godin doesn't sound as good as it perhaps should when plugged in imo, yet they charge astronomical sums for that one.

How do you feel about it 1 year down the line ? Also how is it unplugged ? Thanks
any particular reason string need to replaced? Also, should we use an acoustic amplifier or an electric one? Thank you for your guidance.

Did you use distortion? Were there feedback issues?
@@WombatSteve no distortion. A bit of chorus here and there and just reverb and delay through my PA.

I'm really struggling to find any reviews with overdrive. I just wanna hear it for lead tones
i have a godin that i absolutely love but im very happy to see more guitars in the scene
Really clear and comprehensive review....couldn't be any better...nice playing too..thank you !!
This is the guitar I've been waiting for
Me too

Excellent review, especially when you compared the various sound settings. Sounds very nice. Looks beautiful.
Great information and a very professional video. Beautiful guitar 🎸! I subscribed. Thank you.
Wow you're an amazing guitarist!! Damn dude

Can you add a link to the guitar's listing on your website?
Excellent video........ superb variety of tones. Good to hear it played by a 'non-classical' player
Oh god he tossed it lol. Great review. Thanks.
I've noticed a bit of a buzzing sound coming from the bottom of the guitar when I play, particularly when plucking the treble strings. Anyone else?
I ordered one today. Can you give me some advice on what amp i should buy to go with it?
I got the Fishman Loudbox Mini with it and it sounds great
That’s the one I got too. Sounds great.
What gauge is that strung with Ty ❤
Some to this kind of nylon guitars I have heard loose the nylon sound when plugged in which one keep it or is related to the amps
Best to run it to a P.A. If you want a clean sound. Rockers aren’t looking for a sound like that.
I love my Córdoba GK Studio y with pickup y into my amp(not my fishman acoustic amp but otherwise effects😅
It looks beautiful
are we hearing mic as well? Has anyone compared this to a harley benton fusion nylon?
Hello, I would like to know if we can play this guitar without an amplifier
You can and for quiet playing. I think it sounds really good.
Anyone got any experience with this guitar vs the yamaha silent guitar?

Listening to a few video reviews of this, and again I'm hearing intonation issues, especially higher up on the fretboard. This has me concerned.

I have the Yamaha slg200, it's better than both of those
@@cory6294I read a bunch of horror stories of the TOD10n and ended up on the review video of this guitar
Would love to play one of these. I have a Godin ACS SA but it has 0 acoustic resonance. I can see this having some resonance properties.
Cual es el precio? 💲 Dolar?
$699.00
☑️ super nice esthetics and design ‼️
I'm kinda thinking about getting this model or the Godin Arena Pro bourbon finish ⁉️🤔 🥸 🤓
My dream guitar too bad I live in latin america and its impossible to buy one of these

so it's this and Tim Hesen's TOD10N...liking the nut width of the Cordoba over the Ibanez though...48mm vs 46mm
will decide by black Friday 2022
There are more electric nylons than just those 2
