Hi there Dave, thank you for your videos, they are informative as well as appreciated. If I can give you any advise, it would be whenever you refer to a time frame ( such as 'this time of year etc etc ) or ( it only cost us yada yada dollars ), can you maybe say what week/month/year you are speaking of. Also, and a this would be a huge help is to announce what date it is at the beginning of your videos, people want to know. We can't rely on the date noted by UA-cam as that would be when you posted it. Much appreciate, thanks.
Please check the description that’s where I say the date that I visited. Agreed the date that I posted is generally several weeks after the time that I visited.
I am visitng this hotel next week . Our travel agent booked the junior suite for us . Do you know whether it is good ? Or else I will have to go for an upgrade . I also want to know how the general buffet is as I am more of a buffet person. I am not going in for the Royal service as I have several other trips planned in other countries and do not want to waste my brass !
Hi Dave, thx for all the Impressions. Could you Tell me, how much as an add on you paid for royal service and If it was worth it? We will be there in september 23 and plan to upgrade too….Thank you!
$300US, was worth it. Beach is better, food is better, room is great, check out my room tour ua-cam.com/video/QoBd13g11oc/v-deo.html. Best room I have had in Cuba.
That Sounds absolutely Fine! Did you arrange that at first when arriving in the Hotel or before? 300 more for one week or how Many days? You got a new follower 😂.@@vacationswithdavebrown3045
I do enjoy your enthusiasm & camera work.👍👍 However, where can I read your honest POST review Dave of the empty resort and all the facilities/restaurants/amenities that were closed or missing during your week stay in May ??🤔🤔 In addition, a real value opinion based on paying $2,600 + $500 for the "Royal Service " for the 2 of you for the lack of all privileges ? 🤑🤑I have been to Cuba 18 times, and would never pay that kind of $ especially after Covid and the horrible situation economically in Cuba.😱😱
As far as the royal section goes only the pool bar was closed, but there was another bar right next to it. I prefer an empty resort, no issues with crowds or beach chairs, etc. Yes only a selection of restaurants were open each night, not really an issue. The room was fantastic check out the room tour ua-cam.com/video/QoBd13g11oc/v-deo.html . Food was good by Cuba standards.
I’ve only been to Cuba 4 times, so far, but this resort actually rivals my most recent experience at Sandals SouthCoast for about 1/4 of the price. Food was lesser selection but honestly, equal quality. Rooms equal. Amenities equal. Wine, higher quality at Sandals, by far. Beaches so much better in Cuba, pool equal. Service was outstanding. The evening musical shows in the bar area were incredible, then you could go catch them again in the main resort before the 930 show. Far superior to Sandals. One of my favourite things about Cuba is the lack of Americans. I really enjoyed our stay at his resort and I would go back in a heartbeat. The only thing that was closed during our stay at the Royal level was the pool bar, and the lobby bar is like 100m or less from that bar. The main resort closed one restaurant each evening and just rotated people through accordingly. We were able to snorkel, use the beaches, use the beach bar etc. I’m not sure what you think was closed? Dave was very upfront about the time of year we visited. At another time of year, don’t expect to upgrade to Royal level upon arrival, it will surely be booked.

Junior suit is good. Royal service is more expensive but really nice. When I was there the buffet was very good by Cuba standards.

When we checked in. Asked if we could upgrade. It was for all 7 days for both of us.
