Great video. About how deep is the spot you are fishing? It seems rather shallow.

Fishermen here in northeastern Brazil also catch these species, unfortunately I didn't find this camera for sale in Brazil, it's really great to see what steals our baits so much. Big hug and thanks for the tips.

It will take me a while to get through the whole video, but I am going to watch every bit of it! I will be back with my follow up comments.

30:18 That is why one must always be holding your rod instead of leaving it on the holder.

I’ve been trying to figure out how you get the camera in position. Do you swim out and position the camera in relation to each cast or is the camera somehow connected to you line when you cast?

You said something about it’s basically a miracle when you actually hook a fish on a set rig. Wouldn’t it make sense to just fish one rod and hold it? From my experience, having people on both sides of me fishing 3-4 rods each catches less fish than my daughter fishing a jig tipped with shrimp or Sandflea. Holding the rod and actively moving the bait around works really well.

I can relate to what you're saying. I actually love to hold my rod and start reeling in as soon as I feel a bite or a pick or anything. Sometimes you actually hook a fish on their eye or chin or side. In my opinion, it depends on what bait you're using. I like to hold my rod when using sardines cause they get picked as soon as it hits the water. But when I use octopus or squid, it takes a bit longer to get a bite so I can leave my rod on the holder, with little worries of losing the bait since their meat is hard and elastic.
