Mollie was losing her cap,. On the last lap, her cap slowly creeps up her forehead exposing her hair. So she may just turn the tables on Ariarne in Paris. Either way, I think it's gold and silver in Paris for the Aussie pair..
The commentator said Ariarne got the record back, but she never held it in the first place. Mollie broke Pellegrini's record that was set in 2009

@@de1623 I was kidding ... it is true that I missed a lot of the Tokyo games. I have watched every Olympics since 1972, and swimming is my favorite part of the games.
Ian Thorpe is one of my favorite swimmers of all time. On the women's side, Kromowidjojo [I hope I've spelled that right],
and Camille Muffat are my favorites. The 2024 games look to be very exciting --- I can't wait!
