  • In this video I show you how to spray paint your radiator using Radiator Enamel Spray Paint, a quick drying ultra tough, heat resistant finish, washable and moisture resistant ( stops rust ) I also show you how to spray the tails of your radiator using a metallic chrome spray.
    Preparation:
    Prep up the back of the radiator using some cover, I used some old wrapping paper.
    Hover any dust cobwebs dirt from the top of your radiator and the sides of your radiator,
    clean down radiator with sugar soap spray using a micro fiber cloth, completely dry the radiator off before you rub down.. Using a 400 grit sandpaper rub down your radiator.
    Make sure the radiator is clean and dust free- you're now ready to spray your radiator..
    When spaying your radiator hold the spray can about 30cm away from the surface this will get the best results and you won't have any runs.. also when spaying try and get it to over lap and always remember to shake the spray can throughout the procedure for best results.
    When spaying always make sure you have really good ventilation for the spray fumes to escape eg open windows doors plus always ware a dust mask gloves and eye protection think safety at all times.

    Great videos and very helpful. Do you have any tips for spray painting a double vertical wall mounted radiator but more in context getting deep in-between both sides? Essentially the distance of the spray will only go so far.

    I noticed you have sprayed inside the radiator as well...I did exactly the same with a rapid dry enamel and they look fantastic however even after a couple of weeks, there are some serious emissions still coming from the heater when turned on...have you had this problem before?

      How's it going mate 👍 thanks for stopping by the vid nice one 👍
      You normally get smell from the spray for a day or so but that soon goes, must admit I haven't had any long lasting odour
      Thanks for your feedback anyway and hope you get to the bottom of it

    Hi I’m just looking to do this myself when you pray the radiator this much is there any drip marks?

    • @creativecrambo
      @creativecrambo  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi 👊👍
      If your over spraying then you'll get the drips it's best to spray from about 6" to 9" inches while passing across the radiator
      Pass over once then shake the can and go again using this method reduces any drips .
      Thanks for your comment and hope it goes OK

      Hi and thanks appreciate that alot 👊
      Yeah RUST - OLEUM do a one called STOVE & BBQ PAINT
      It's heat resistant up to 650^C plus stops any rust
      Don't think you need a primer just give the radiator a light sand down with fine sandpaper
      It comes in the colour black matt finish
      Definitely worth checking that one out hope it turns out really good and thanks for your feedback nice one 👍 👌👊

      Yeah you can still get the same affect painting
      A 400ml can of spray will probably do 2 standard size radiators as a tin of paint will probably do alot more hope it goes OK and you get what your looking for 👍👌👊

    Did you find that the spray went everywhere? I’m thinking of doing some copper pipes of our boiler but not sure how much masking and covering to go for the rest of the room to stop it going over everything

    • @creativecrambo
      @creativecrambo  2 роки тому +3

      Thanks for stopping by the vid Steven cheers mate 👍 the over spray wasn't to bad to be honest I just had good ventilation ie. Opened windows yeah you will have to cover areas you don't want the over spray to touch, but 2foot cover around the area your spraying should be ok, have some dust sheets on the floor to then just go for it ,hope this helps mate .

    Is it possible to paint the valves as well or will this cause issues?

    • @creativecrambo
      @creativecrambo  2 роки тому

      S A ,thanks for stopping by the vid👍👍 ideally I wouldn't paint the valves you need the valve to regulate the temperature painting the valve might restrict it's full purpose of its use, I'd give it a nice clean off or buy some new ones painting the valve might stop it turning, hope this was a help 👍👍.

      Plus, not everyone can fit a new radiator, so would have to pay for a plumber to install it.
