Please let me say I’ve been doing judo since I was five years old. I’m 67 now. In all that time I’ve never seen a coach better than you! God Bless You for all you do.

@@ProxyAuthenticationRequired no sir, they don’t go that high. I have a 6th Dan in judo and a 9th Dan In jujitsu. But thanks for your kindness.

@@ProxyAuthenticationRequired It’s really not about “power” though. Athletic performances and proficiency in the art is mostly a matter of shiai (competition) and in general how well you do on the mat, wether you are a first or 10th Dan.
Grades after 3rd/4th dan are mostly a way for the Kodokan or the IJF to recognize the service you made to the art of Judo, and has little to do with power and mastery (in fact the major requirement is to have practiced fir maaany years between one ranking and the other).
Most 9th and 10th dan received their rank in the last years of their lives, and sometimes even post-mortem (after dying).
Remember: Judo works both naked and in normal street clothes, belts are only useful to keep our gi in place during practice.
      Have fun!

@@filippobertone4255 absolutely correct. However, no one ever gave me anything. I actually took the test for 6th Dan at the Spirit of the Eagle camp. The test took three full days. Most people beg off to not do the test. I insisted to be given the entire test with no mercy given. I tested from 8 in the morning until 9 at night. Most people don’t do that. I did.

Throws you can learn from an app.
The setup to a throw is far more important and this is which makes this video so good.

A very good combi is Uchimata to Kouchigari. It´s in my opinion superior to Uchimata to Ouchigari.because in Uchimata to ouchigari you attack the leg that has more leeway. But in Uchimata to Kouchigari you attack the leg that s responsible for the stability.also Ouchi to Osoto or Ouchi to Uchimata gives your opponent no way to guess what is coming. In kenka yotsu you can also use Kosoto for exactly the same reason. This gives you a viable game plan.
