We went to the pub Saturday night, we came home switched on channel 4. The rest is history. Everyone was like " did you see that band on the telly last night?"

every few years i go through a stack of VHS music tapes hoping that someone has digitised some of them. thanks for uploading this - its time for the VHS to go to the big landfill in the sky
Bizarrely I bought the VHS video of this in a record store in Hereford one Saturday lunchtime. I'd gone there on a train from London to see Leyton Orient play Hereford Utd, and I was wandering around the town before the game and saw it. I never did understand what all the helicopter and oil rig shots were all about, though.
nice one for uploading this. shows the band in full flow, sweating for their art, so young and full of promise. could've gone on to be massive. they had the songs. just didn't happen.
Shame that he tried to do too much with the keyboards and mic set up. Always felt they should have had a fulltime keyboard player. Otherwise such iconic songs and criminally underrated (for once the phrase is apt). Like the commenter above I feel they could have been massive. Read his memoir “merseybeast”. It’s excellent but Will Sergeants is better still.
WAY to avant garde for the 80s, that's why, IMHO. To me, to be "great" @ "obscure" is a shield from the onslaught of the insidious from mass exposure. A great book is no less great because it resides in obscure library. 😎

Haha, I bet the people who filmed them didn't know either.
@@blackmore4 my guess it's just stock footage it doesnt look like a big budget production. Not that it matters for a cracking band like them
