Work in progress not only includes the loco's but also the videos! We are working on improving not only the sound quality but also the presentation 😊
Please comment below on what more would you like from our videos.
That Bullied exhaust beat never to be forgotten
Manston does sound great!
@@railwaymaniacs7392 it is such a soft exhaust compared to a New South Wales 38 class in full flight. They are beautiful engines though. Maybe, one as originally built could do a tour down-under like Flying Scotsman. Wouldn't that be something.
I would love to see 34058 Sir Frederick Pile in working order one day
Fred recieves a lot of attention every week.
I like 257 squadron it ran on the K&ESR.
It fitted in well at the KESR.
Like magic!
Thank you! Cheers!
I have been a shareholder for many years and would say this is a very good place to put your money. Things get done!
Do you have a favourite loco?
My favorite has to be Manston❤
But it’s great to see all these locos coming back to life. Even if I am more a GW/LMS man.
What do you think of how it looks at the moment?
It's nice to see in her current livery and condition. Gives a younger generation a little idea of how our steam locomotives finished their service for B.R. Also the only member of the SLL fleet that could carry the Southern railway livery as on Blackmoor Vale on the bluebell railway.
@@railwaymaniacs7392 I think it’s great to see her as she would have looked in service. She looks as a working loco should in my opinion.
Just a question is she artificially « weathered » or is this her « genuine » external condition?
@@forrestrobin2712Good question! I have partially filmed a future video that answers your question in detail!
@@railwaymaniacs7392 looking forward to that!
My favorite Battle of Britain class is 21C166 Spitfire and it was considered a candidate for preservation in the 60s but 21C123 Blackmoor Vale was chosen for preservation because it was in better condition than 21C166 Spitfire
Another very interesting video, wish I could help but I live miles away, will follow avidly
We have volunteers from all over. Sometimes we need to shout out for some help of some kind that you could help with. It depends on your skill set. It's not all about being on site and engineering. If your interested contact via

Maybe a lapel microphone would help with the sound quality. The RODE branded ones are pretty good.
I keep seeing some other interesting railway vehicles, what are they?
They are from Finland.
@@railwaymaniacs7392 interesting
What year will 35025 Brocklebank Line be restored to working order?
What year will 34058 Sir Frederick Pile, 34010 Sidmouth and 35025 Brocklebank Line be restored to working order?
When will 34010 Sidmouth and 34058 Sir Frederick Pile be restored to their working order?
As soon as we can
What about 35022 Holland America Line, 35009 Shaw Savill and 35010 Blue Star? When will they be restored to working order?
Will 34058 Sir Frederick Pile, 34010 Sidmouth and 35025 Brocklebank Line be mainline certified upon being restored from scrapyard condition?
Hi Shark. We would love to have a loco running mainline. There is a lot involved in making this leap. Mainly the extra funding required. If that was forthcoming then other barriers just become hurdles to leap over.
It would be nice to see them stretch their legs on the mainline. The extra finances required to make this happen would need to be secured .
When will 35025 Brocklebank Line be restored to working order?
As soon as possible
When will 34073 249 Squadron be restored to working order?
Not owned by SLL
Which owner does 34073 249 Squadron belong to?
Good info, thanks very much, but I could do without the 'presentation'. Instead, voice over images and quietly spoken, is always more restful to the ear. If I wanted to listen to a sergeant major, I would have joined up.
Dont let Hoskin get his hands on any of em
Why? He restores his locos and carriages to a very high standard and runs them on the main line.
@@rodhewsonyou know about his politics do you?
@@alantraish3368No. But as long as he cares for his locos and let’s others enjoy them, rather than locking them away, they don’t concern me.
@@rodhewson ignorance is bliss i guess eh?
Quite so! What get worked up about something you can do nothing about?
