I love the eccentricity of humanity. Here's a guy- in a dress, who seems to be a larger than life celebrity, someone perhaps too 'cool' to do ordinary things. But here he is with a very old fashioned hobby so many of us can relate to. Watching this I remembered the long, timeless days of making scenery with my dad, getting the tracks clean, building rivers and mountains and rail yards, the quiet companionship and irreplacable intimacy of sharing a hobby with people we love. Nice one Eddie.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any tips you can offer me
That was very emotional. How lovely to honour someone like that. Both of my parents were evacuated. Mum went to a family farm; my grandma got home after a difficult journey involving a long walk to the village, a bus to Worcester, a train to Birmingham, a tram to the edge of the city, and another walk to the village. Waiting for her was a Telegram telling her to collect her daughter who had not stopped screaming! So my grandma did the return journey, stayed the night, and mum was home in less than 24 hours! Dad did better, he managed a week before being called home, his mother couldn't cope without her servant! It's the little stories that make history come alive, like Eddie's dad and his grandma. Such a thoughtful touch.
Can't wait to be able to visit Bexhill Museum when it reopens again after lockdown! :-) I have seen Eddies original railway layout a couple of years back.
Do you really think that or are you just trolling? Which model railway are you talking about btw given that there's two shown? Why do you think (whichever one you're talking about) that it's terrible? If it's the first one (the snowy one) then (imo) you're talking nonsense.
Thought the planes didn't look great, think I could do a better Dornier bomber although actually might be a Junkers 88. Still they're not the main focus here as it's a railway model.
@@jamescollins3647 we're all different James... and as for Eddie, it must take amazing guts to be true to who you really are... So I wish you well in your quest to understand & accept points of view or lifestyles that might at present sit uncomfortably with you.... My experience was not an easy road to travel either but I know that in finally discarding my prejudices it led to a real release of personal wellbeing and an increased feeling of goodwill toward others.

Eddie Iz you truly are a smashing human for doing that for your dad!!! 👍
The more I see from Eddie the more I value all he does. Over here in Germany someboy like him is really missing.
Well that's another place on my list of places to visit. That's really cool Eddie, well done mate.
Eddie Izzard had the honour of being a speaker at my daughter's graduation. It's all about priorities.
I love Bexhill it is a lovely Town full of kind and beautifully gorgeous people. Looking well there Eddie too! which is lovely to see 😁💕

Amazing layout and lovely nostalgic pictures, well done
What a great story and beautiful layout!
Eddie looks fabulous
❓
@@weementaldavy5987 I prefered him being Eddie; camp and colourful. Now just staid middle aged something.
Fantastic. I will add this onto my list of places to visit once we are out of lockdown :)
Is that gunner Milligan hurling the brick 1:13?
If this is what they can do with a brick god help us when they get the gun!
I have it on good authority from someone who works there that it is!
@@ColdRFusion Thanks for that! All his tales of Bexhill on sea...where is the batter pudding?
Eddie is far more than just a guy in a dress. A complex and interesting character indeed!
Sweet Eddie, sweet, dear child -
Just amazing 👏
A brilliant depiction of the past
That’s beautiful 😻
I love our community💖💖💖💋miss Eddie
great layout keep going
What a beautiful legacy.
Great stuff.
Bravo Eddie well done.
Love it
Lovely
WHY is the presenter calling her him?
This was filmed in December 2019
Thank you the disrespect is real but she took it in grace
Why are you a troll?
I would say because he was born a Male and alot of this took place back then. I dont think any disrespect was intended.
From what he's said in the past, he's a "bloke in a dress." So he would be appropriate.
Funny bloke. Totally bonkers - but funny.
you look stunning
👍
Tran Spotter 😜
Really? It’s 2021
Glad to see someone still has the balls to give us humour...good on you Donni 😉👌👍🏽
I love Eddie and I laughed out loud. I think he wouldn't be offended either.

"I love the eccentricity of humanity. Here's a guy- in a dress" - but why the need to do so?
Exhibitionism.
One of the worst model railways I’ve seen some one took Eddie for a ride

This man offends me.
I’m sure she’ll lose sleep about that.
