Great video! I wanna try this list out cuz the telegraphed playstyle of doffy is what people look at to counter, this is a different and is very welcome. Questions: why do most decks run the 2k crocodile and not the ST17 crocodile? Won't the ST17 croc basically be insurance for whether you'll hit the leader ability or not? Also some top decks run 4c 2k counter hand ripping law, but I don't understand why and I personally don't run it, what's your take on that? Also, I assume this decklist isnt as reliant on leader ability since there are less 4c characters?
@@SSKG08 thanks I appreciate that. It’s gone really well for me with the current list. I’ve climbed to top 20 on the west ranked ladder with it so far. The ST17 croc is nice for additional draw. I had it in my older lists. I didn’t have room for it in the current list. The 2k croc is ran as a potential target for leader ability + it’s 2k counter. It’s important we keep at least 12 2k counters in the deck or as close to that as we can. The 4cost 2k law I elect not to run. I’m not the biggest fan of the card. It’s nice hand rip but at the end of the day I’d rather stick 5k characters on board. I tend to be a bit more aggro. I think every doffy list is wanting to utilize leader ability to its fullest extent. This list is pretty nice because if you get a teach on board, you can take full advantage of leader ability while simultaneously getting bigger cost bouncing characters in play. Ex/ your on 8 Don. You have teach in play. You can play out 7 cost doffy, bounce a 7 or lower on your opponents board to hand and still use teach ability in order to utilize your leader ability.
@@RedHatPiratesTCGthat's a different way to look at things, what do you think of changing the leader to boa but with your doffy deck list mostly the same? Would the game plan / interactions be wildly different?
@@SSKG08 you definitely wouldn’t be able to spam board the same, but you’d def be able to take advantage of her leader ability with all the bounce/removal options. There’s been some decks that have found success with Boa. I’ve never personally played her.
@@RedHatPiratesTCG I think I'm gonna enjoy bounce doffy a lot more. What matchups in general do you think are considered good and bad for this particular doffy deck?
@ the enel matchup is still a tough one since you don’t have an answer for the 9 drop Yamato or the 10 drop ace. And BY Luffy is still gonna be favored. But that one feels better.
@ they’ve been good lol. It puts so much pressure on board as when you drop him you only need him and doffy to finish off a game. If you have an established board before it’s usually gg
What would you say the best match-ups are for this deck? I keep finding decks that are focussed on the mirror, but in my local meta I don't see any doffy decks.
@@Shizzis this works extremely well into Bonny. Helps with Lucci. Works well into Pluffy. I’d say the only tough time you’ll have is with Enel. But that’s a tough matchup regardless of which version of Doffy you run.
@@johndonovan2911 kaya is a law bounce target and can be played out for nothing (1 Don) Say you’re on 7 Don. You know your next 2 cards are 2k. You’re bricked. Play Kaya grab your 2k counter, and then you can still play out your Jinbe into boa (most ideal). Look at top 3 and then leader cheat out. As opposed to waiting for your turn to come back around and hoping mihawk sticks. Also if you mulligan and miss on all your peronas, sengokus, and your teach. Maybe you hit the Kaya. Not nearly as good but it’s still some filter. Adds a nice touch of consistency. Give it a try. It comes up and is used more than you’d think.

I’m trying out two of the 9 cost kouzi that has double strike and on ko effect. It wrecks everything if it sticks one turn and swings

Why not use BOA leader?
Is it because of the free play on top deck?
@@regretnowdoitlater2936 yea getting extra cards and flooding the board is just so powerful.
Why add a 1 of in Kaya when you have 4 of the 2k Mihawk for that purpose?
