That was such a hot game, Roger is such a good card to spell doom for an opponent who thinks they won.

@atrocioustcg it's gonna be a 3 of in Sanji when the set comes out for me. Swing hard and punish life will be my game plan.

@@kvngprice it is either a risky play letting yourself get to 0 life to be able to use, or you get your opponent to zero and make them have to be able to counter in full swings. Not broken though with the fact it's not searchable and in most decks just a 1 or 2 of.

I really enjoyed watching this game. Doffy player played well but Shanks player was ready to respond to every attack from Doffy. Great video overall.

Yeah I think putting him to 0 life wasn’t a bad play, it forces him to have a 1-of in his hand that’s not searchable! Great game

Feels like doffy should've focused on flooding his board instead of bouncing his searchers since shanks has a weak early game and he started with 2 jimbe, which is one of the best hands a doffy playrr can ask for
It’s tough tho because when you bounce back lil guys, you get more room for big guys and can get those lil guys as counter or replays
Everytime I think shanks is not so good, I watch matches like this that make me hype to play him again 😂 also dibs on that playmat

While it wasn't looking too good for Shanks there, once he started dropping the big bodies, there was very little Doffy could do about it

Yasopp is too easy for doffy to play around. Marco is a way better 5c drop

Gold Roger is one hell of a card. Basically defeats B/Y Luffy all on his own. I'm still contemplating if I want to play 1 or 2 of them
I think it really depends on the meta. One feels good to me
@atrocioustcg Yeah pretty tough, especially since the top end in Shanks is really stacked as it is. The problem about him is that he's not searchable, that's what makes me consider playing 2

Doffy is way easier and isn't punishing as his leader with jinbe is busted
Doffy really spelled doom on himself by dropping Shanks to 0 Life
It’s an interesting spot. On one hand, no matter what you’re in a bad place. But your odds might just be higher if you FORCE them to have an unsearchable 1-2 of Roger. If he didn’t have Roger, Doffy mighta had a decent shot to win

The decision making behind that in that exact moment is a very different thing. I'll rarely ever doubt a Top4 Japanese player in that regard. They'll stomp me every day of the week 😂

The second Boa was played the Shanks player won; the roger he'd had in hand basically guaranteed that the boa was a wasted 4 don & he'd have to combo out of all the big bodies.
Edit; Uta searcher bottom decks too many of your pieces so you dont run it in this version.
The Uta makes sense 100%, but I don't think the Boa was necessarily incorrect. You bank on your opponent having a one-of unsearchable card in hand & he just lost the wrong end of the 50/50 :(

I'm pretty sure the Rayleigh blocker isn't red hair pirates, it's Roger Pirates, so it can't be searched off of the Uta searcher. Still interesting that he's not running it given everything else, but it's one less hit.
