Thanks for this Pastor Tanner. I really don't understand the importance of morphology yet (beginning seminary student) and what those terms mean. So far I only see it listing it out for our word study assignments in the Scripture Study Guides we submit for grades haha.
Great refresher for those familiar with Greek tools also. Thanks! (Btw, how do/would you priortize the last three Greek resources (Strauss, Heiser, and/or DeMoss)? Thx!
Thanks for the video. Got a couple of issues though. a) talking too fast b) adding video cuts with way too short a gap Very hard to even pause the video after a point to take it in.
I do not have the options in my visual filter drop down menu that you have in yours. e.g. "emphasize active lemmas" or "corresponding words." Can you say why or what to do?
Not sure level. I upgraded to full feature package of Logos 10. My visual filter menu has very few of the items in your video. Thanks so much for replying!!
In my visual filters drop-down menu there is no selection for "Emphasize Active Lemma". I have the corresponding words selections for "same word" and "same lemma". I have Logos 10 and so I am not sure why my drop-down menu looks different than yours as well.
I am having the same issue...the "Emphasize Active Lemma" visual filter is not displayed as an option. In fact, as zacksportsman352 suggests (and Daniel-w8d, below), my entire visual filters dropdown menu looks VERY different from yours...I have only a fraction of the choices you seem to have. I also have Logos 10 full feature set. Any suggestions on this from anyone?
@@PastorTanner Thank you for going to the trouble of searching that out. There is so much about Legacy I just don't "get" at all!. I appreciate your help.
I will add it to the list, but making an advanced guide will take a lot more work, so it probably won’t come out quickly. Appreciate all of your love and support.
It depends on what features and books you have. I believe that some of what I used in this video is locked up unless you get certain lexicons or features.
@PastorTanner I'm a pastor as well and looking at buying the Reformed Platinum package. I was asking so I could show people in my church the benefits of even using the free version.
@@cra231 Yes the free version is also good, but I don't think you will be able to get the features out of it that I show in this video. I think too many of the associated features are not included. The best move might be to create a separate account which is only the free version and poke around and see what is possible. Maybe I can make a future video out of it . . .
What ive noticed is that none of this helps me decipher what Bible characters names mean in their language or what original language slangs are used or what objects or references or places mean symbolically. I also can’t find a function for greek or Hebrew numerology. Not sure why I thought a word study would enable me to learn these things.
While some of what you are describing is found in some of the base lexicons or commentaries, things like numerology or other symbolic aspects are more rare and often require specific resources to gain value. I apologize if you feel like this video was a bit of false advertising. I will add your request to our backlog list. Take care.
@@PastorTanner Oh absolutely not, your video was awesome. Super helpful and informative and all stuff I didn’t fully realize with my own Logos packages. Yea if you do any of those other things with UA-cam own studies it would be awesome to see how you leverage Logos for them. Thanks
There are 3 types of Christians that corrupt the word of God. 1. The Bible Tweaker 2. The Greeker 3. The Bible corrector. These 3 don't believe that God has 'kept' and 'preserved' His word unto all generations as is written in: Psalms 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. There are no original manuscripts, God has been involved in the making of copy after copy of His word until the King James Bible was completed. No other translation is to be used. Research 'How to be a King James Bible Believer' for more info. 2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
@@PastorTanner Thank you and the Lord Who has exalted His word above His name. Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. "God has been involved in the making of copy after copy of His word until the King James Bible was completed." Why do you suppose he stopped whent he KJV was completed?
So helpful. I’m so happy the algorithm directed me to your channel. You’ve helped me better utilize my Logos so much.
What an encouragement, Chad! That means a ton to me. Thank you for your kind words, God bless.
8:58 FYI, for anyone else who doesn't see the "tooltip" of the morphology. You must first turn off the reverse interlinear pane.

Well there are countless uses as you continue to expand your knowledge. 👍

What level of base package or feature set do you have? Either this feature is locked for you, or there is a dropdown or setting missing somewhere.
