Just installed my valve cover and road tested it. This video saved me a huge headache. It never even occurred to me to try pulling out the dip stick with the engine running. That's totally worth a sub.
You know I had a Chevrolet Avio I got one now I had it for like 56 years for new time about new gear. The whole works good on gas mileage. That’s why I got it. I know it’s small cheap little car everybody says, but burn catching a bus, huh, yeah mines making that noise so I’m gonna do what you just did and see if it’s that wrong with mine yeah cause mine and I watch videos where they say you put water on the belt and it stopped the noise and it did it stopped the little noise so I don’t know I gotta go out there and pull the oil stick up and cock out I know what to dochange the top like you do awesome video
Yup ...I know those engine like the back of my hand THIS is exactly what I have. This is the LXV model of engine. Little tip for you , if you didn't change the thermostat yet you will one day and if you do change it , change the thermostat housing as well, I garanti it will break wen your going to put the new thermostat on it...and the main problem on those engine is the cooling system...I did mine 3 time allready 😒
I recently went through the same scenario like the video and also changed the valve cover. It helped some but didn't cure the PO171 code issue. I also installed a new reservior cap (needed it). I started to notice the temp guage wasn't reading properly and suspected the thermostat was going bad. Thanks for your input about the thermostat!

Where did you get the replacement from?
I got it from RockAuto.com!
Great video but what a piece of crap! Got to replace the whole dang valve cover for a stupid PCV valve. Chevy FAIL.
Yup... every manufacturer has their issues, but this one is definitely a FAIL!!
Great video! Unfortunately the valve cover replacement didn't fully cure the PO171 code on my '09 Aveo.
What if the valve cover is not the problem
Sorry for the late reply! Does your car have the same symptom of bypassing the vacuum to the crank case?
What about the spark plugs you forgot to tell them to remove that too
I didn't remove them, they stay in the tubes in the head. Just need to remove the coil pack!
*promo sm* 😳
Get to the point 👉
U can take the valve out of the cover
You mean so you can replace it and not the whole cover
