On my wish list. Just what I hoped for, a STEREO speaker (with the 6 smaller speakers inside it) and effects and battery or AC power and mixer settings. Expensive but its all there.
This is a really good question and I'd also like to know the answer. I have the Roland AX shoulder synth and it can only be used with rechargeable batteries (unless used with mains) but the batteries do not recharge in situ - they have to be removed to recharge externally. I have extra batteries but it's a real pain to have to change and recharge them every couple of gigs. It would be so much simpler if Roland had built in the inexpensive extra circuitry so that they would recharge when plugged in.
***** Totally agree. I bought an 8 battery charger and 8 rechargables at a cost of around $100Australian. The whole unit has paid for itself in a few gigs, but I agree it would be a much better setup with an internal battery that can be replaced eventually when it dies. But apart from that, really happy with it. It distorts a little on high volume with vocals, but overall pretty fricken good considering it can be used cordless.
Dear Roland… I just bought one from Amazon and I am returning it…. I am a vocalist but this only allows me to set effects on REVERB or all on ECHO…..!!! Can’t se up a mix of both which is useless for a singer…. Who designed it if claiming professionally…???
Damn stupid power input. Why use a non standard 4 pin XLR ? Who has spares of those in their cable box? 1 guy in 20 ---maybe---maybe. Should have used a generic input plug.
And how big of a market is there for portable PA batteries? They are providing an option that lets you use something from a large market, where the packs will be much cheaper than would be custom packs. What type of jack do you wish they had used? What "generic" input plug is there for high power density battery packs, with batteries more affordable than camera batteries? To me this seems like a clever and very customer-friendly solution.
I have bare coaxial power connectors in my stock (I make a lot of my own cables). But I don't know of any high power density battery packs that have those as their outputs. The main use of those connectors is for AC-powered power supplies (with AC or DC outputs; notably with no standard for the pinout). The connector Roland is providing here is to enable users to extend the battery life by adding an external high power density *battery* pack, not a wall wart or line lump. They *include* an AC power supply that uses that jack; they chose that jack so an owner could easily supplement this with a *battery pack*. Did you actually listen to the video or read the literature? There isn't anything particularly subtle or sinister going on here.
Nice storage compartment for iPod, but NOT a docking bay like what the Alesis Transactive Mobile or Transactive MX has. Too bad. This would be better than nothing, however.
I can't remember, but one said, it would good for 80 listeners. The sound is pretty close to the Bose L1 compact sound, but this system is no column speaker, so the sound doesn't go so extremly far. But one thing, both stereo channnels are close together, with a stereo chorus you can imitate the Jazz Chorus sound.
A better question is what is the USEABLE Db SPL level (Decibel Speaker Level), frequency response and total harmonic distortion of the amp. To rate an amp in wattage is basically useless. Wattage is an electrical term for power and has NOTHING to do with the sound pressure levels that an amplifier will produce. If an amp is poorly designed at 20% efficiency then 80% of the wattage (electrical power) is consumed as waste heat... and vice versa for a well designed amp. This is in my opinion a very dishonest way to rate an amp and consumers need to be aware of this. Db SPL is the actual sound pressure that an amp produces and along with a frequency response curve and the distortion ratings are the only true honest way to rate an amplifier.
Got a decade of use from mine and now have some issues , ordering another new one and very happy with this unit , got me through some crazy gigs
I wish these guys made studio monitors. I know they did back in the day, but they really need to get back into it because they make amazing stuff.
I like the cool 2009 graphics in this video... awesome.
I have this and I’m completely satisfied.

Looking forward to hearing what it's capable of.
Best on the market. I have two. Awesome -
maybe you can get the Sham Wow guy next time, great product. Roland you are better than infomercial format
How would this be with the AE30 would it play well as its stereo ?
Can I get additional battery holders to speed a power change?
UA-cam makes jokes to suggest a video for a product that is out of production
Please suggest can I buy Roland BA 55 or 330
Is there's an echo for mic?
How much does it cost?
Tengo ese aparato pero no puedo conectarlr otras bocinas extras. ....solo de puede conectandole otro aparato o mezcladora.
Stereo is 2 speakers placed afew feet apart Not in one box
Hi! do you need a separate charger for the AA batteries, or do they charge when the unit is plugged in via AC?

Can I connect a Saramonic wireless (UwMic9) to this pa?
Yes. UwMic9 comes with an XLR output cable. Just plug that into one of the XLR inputs on the BA-330.

As they say in the video, that jack *is* standard, for camera battery packs.
Yeh.. But its not a Camera Speaker! Its a small pro audio speaker for musicians.

So you've never seen one of these before eh???
