Because I loved the Cranberries singing this, I refused to watch Bad Wolves singing it for a long time - when I did hear it I was blown away - they put so much passion into it, understandably. I've always loved metal music and was worried it would take away the pure essense of Delores, but no, I love it!
The golden lady represents Dolores. Back in the original, she was also the golden lady in her music video to this song. What also makes this video particularly beautiful and also sad is the glass pane between the two. The separation between the world of the dead and the living. Dolores is somehow there, but still unreachable. The date that the golden lady draws in the color is the day of Dolores' death.
Good cover of a great song but Dolores' vocals are really inimitable. Don't know if you remember the original video but this was a homage to that, visually as well as musically.
As long as humans are stupid and shortsighted, using conflict and war to enrich the rich and settle petty grievance this song will remain powerful, which, unfortunately means it will always be relevant. We can do better, we just don't.

The original was a sad cry of despair, Bad wolves was anger over how nothing has changed.
I hear the pain in his voice, rock just hits different but it’s still beautiful!
