Mr Dalrae and Dave Magee dominated the Chicago free for all ranks for two years straight. I watched this race from home on ESPN. It was a special treat to see a local horse and driver compete against the best in the country on national TV in the days before simulcasting. When the rail opened up I started screaming at the TV hoping he would get up in time. Bittersweet as I didn't have any money on the winner.
What a trip for little Davey rail opens up like the parting of the red sea! I remember watching that one at the old Quad City Downs...man I miss those days...
Was at the track for this race, brings back a flood of memories, Division street was really a half mile track specialist & a bit off on the mile oval, a few top shippers from Canada and Mr Dalrae coming in from Sportsman Park..great race.

Mr dalrea was one of my favorite horses of all time...I also Loved Troublemaker in that period too!
Boomer Drummond: a horse everybody loved back in 1984 in Montreal. What a wonderful animal you had, Jean-Paul.

I was at The Meadfowlands for that Hambletonian Day and thought Glen Almahurst was home only to have Mr. Dalrae come up the rail to get up.

They should bring back Boothe he was the best at the Big M
That was Tom Durkin
Very disappointing performance by Division Street. In all fairness, Street was a 1/2 mile terror
