    Wonderful video! I've been a little stumped for how to design a ghost pirate ship for a One-Shot I'm planning, but the questions here have got my brain whirring. Video came out just when I needed it.
    Here are the questions about the dungeon from what I can see:
    What is the Location of the dungeon?
    What Type of dungeon is it?
    What Condition is it in?
    Who lives there?
    What motivates those who live in the dungeon?
    What is the conflict between those that live in the dungeon?
    What rooms are found in the dungeon?
    How is it defended from intruders?
    What is happening inside the dungeon?
    What is something weird about the dungeon?
    What treasure is found in the dungeon?
    What is unexpected about the dungeon?

    I've found your videos super fun and informative! I've been inspired to draw up my own Random Dungeon Seed Generator tables too! I've come up with an extra one too, "Character" so that an entity has a character quirk like shy, arrogant, peaceful, greedy etc. The first two rolls I did I came up with a Tyrannic Guardian and a Charitable Dealer :>

    Looks great, would you use small tokens to match these grid sizes, or blow the size up?

      If I was using this at the table, I would have probably drawn it on bigger graph paper! If I end up running this, I was assuming it would be online, so just scanned in for a virtual table top. Sorry I didn't make that clear!

    Seriously JP, I think you could create an Ed Emberley style book on RPG creation. It's basically what you are doing already, but I think that would be such a cool thing.

    If you were to scan that, would it be possible to remove the non-reproducible blue lines after its been colored, or does the color make it so that can't be done?

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  Рік тому +1

      It would be close to impossible, especially if there you used blue as one of the colors.

    He JP loving your stuff, watched almost every video. If you use this map in real life, would you print it in a bigger format? Do you let the players see the full map immediately or do you cover certain parts? This is my biggest question as a new GM and new D&D player... Thanks for your content!

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  2 роки тому

      Thanks! I usually cover up the map. Sometimes that means cutting it up into pieces. Sometimes it's just covering it with other sheets of paper and slowly revealing.

    i want to make a mega dungeon. where an entire campaign, lvls 1-20 could take place.
    i'm thinking maybe a little like Sword Art Online meets Diablo meets the Magi anime.
    apparently the games that the creators of D&D played when testing, was a mega dungeon.

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  Рік тому

    How do you determine the number of doors and positions ?

    • @JPCoovert
      @JPCoovert  Рік тому +1

      Rooms need to link together and that means doors. It should be pretty intuitive once you start planning the story.
