Hello fam! Thank you for your prayers and best wishes! The typhoon in the Philippines can sometimes get out of hand but we try to make the best of it! Here is our experience ☝ Please remember to hit the "LIKE" button and "SHARE" this video to brighten up someones day! 🥰
I think there is no problem of speaking English in public cos English is one of the two official languages of the Philippines aside from Filipino , and it is widely spoken and understood and used in businesses, government and schools. On the other hand, in many cases, okay lang din Naman ang paenglish english in public kahit wrong grammar if it is their way of practicing basta marunong Silang tumanggap Ng correction galing sa iba. Cos practicing will improve their English communication skills lalo na ngayon na nasa globalization na tayo. But in your case in which English is your common usage since you grew up in Canada and seemed to be your native tongue, there's nothing wrong with that. We can easily distinguish that.
Hello Lan and Em, been following your channel for almost 2 yrs now. Don’t mind what other people think or say, if you are more comfortable conversing in English then that is fine. I used to live in Sydney and have worked with people from different races and ethnicity, some are not even that fluent in English but we really didn’t mind for as long as we can understand each other and are able to deliver results. Even the homegrown Aussies don’t care. By the way, hubby and I are in our mid-30’s just like you and we moved back to the Philippines on Dec 2020 after acquiring our AU citizenship and had been living here since. Thank you for your videos, they are not just inspiring but also gives me a sense of hope. Hubby is not too keen on staying here long-term but watching your videos gives me a sense of hope that it’s absolutely possible to give up life in a 1st world country and live a simple life where your heart is at peace. :)
Thank you Stacey for the support : ) wow 2 years you've followed us, thats amazing. Wow we share the same path to a simple peaceful life where we don't have to trade time for money and we get to concentrate on family and being creative. Life is too short : ) hope to one day meet you guys here at our mini resort or in our beach vacation house
@@oursimpleandextraordinarylife I do wish we can live a more carefree life soon. At the moment, it can be a bit hectic as we are managing our online business and it comes with quite a lot of headaches LOL. But I do LOVE the flexibility of being with our toddler day in and out, and being able to travel here and there, just like the way you were able to spend quality time with Skye. :) And yes! We've been postponing a trip to the north because we're waiting for the opening of your resorts. We can't wait to visit your family, hopefully before the year ends. :)
WOW, LOTS OF PAPAYA,,,MISSED TINOLA...UR BABYS R SOO SOO CUTE...I CAN'T WAIT TO TASTE AGAIN ALL FRESH FOODS FROM THE TREES...MALUNGAY R SUPER EXPENSIVE HERE NOW...TAKE CARE N GODBLESS...
Since nag start ko po panoorin ang video nyo i find you down to earth at walang yabang at natural lang ang dating kahit nag spokening english kayo pero mas masarap din paminsan minsan nag sasalita naman kayo ng Tagalog kaya oks lang yun. At dead ma nyo nlng yun iba nagsasabing mayabang ang dating nyo. Go go lang at sobrang gusto ko ang family nyo at bagay lang ang na simple extraordinary life talaga. Wish you the best po.
Buy a small generator to at least run the refrigerator. Or better yet get a bigger generator to run almost everything. That’s what we do here in Hawaii 😊
There are lots of filipinos that speaks English there. Somebody told me . Cz i havnt been back since 1986. Ok lang mag English espcially if youre use to it. I missed the typhoon and a lots of rain lol. Sorry😮
Just hearing about the Typhoon now, hope you guys are ok. Seems like you guys are having lots of fun even though your faced with Typhoons and I remember your Earthquake videos as well. You guys are so daring to leave your western life and Yes I do agree with what you guys said that ppl there specially the locals will feel that you guys are mayabang if your speaking English all the time, Specially now that the new generation in the php are all speaking English, pagalingang sila and even those ppl will be jealous of you guys as you guys don't have accents when you speak but the ppl there will always do. So trying your best to speak the native tongue would be a great advice for balik bayans, its different if your white or a forienger the filipinos just adore them. You guys are not seen as that so I see why mayayabangang manga tao sa Inyo.
I've lived in the UK almost half of my life and has recently moved back to Philippines, it's just that I'm more comfortable speaking in English and I struggle a bit with Tagalog, mas mabagal ako mag-isip in Tagalog. People have been nice to me, may nagugulat din.
Keep safe to my favorite fambam!!!!! We are yet to experience more most especially in this time of the year. 🙂 Honestly me, di ako nayayabangan. One must understand that yes, you are filipinos but since the environment you lived in for most of your life is offshore so its understandable na di maaalis sa inyo agad agad even the "twang". Your followers wouldn't mind I guess.🙂🙂🙂
Hello! Stay safe kayo dyan. When is your mini resort ribbon cutting. Invite us , mu hubby a Canadian and I Pinay both seniors fr Cnda - - now here in the Phils. retiring. Pls invite us on your ribbon cutting we can drive 4 hrs. Ingat kayo. God bless! Teata Tita jans🙂
Talaga kasi mhihirapan kayo mag pure tagalog gawa ng matagal nilagi nyo sa canada plus the fact you are both dual citizenship. Kng isa lang nagsabi never mind it kasi may nkkakabasa din nmn at nkakarami nkakaintindi sa sitwasyon nyo. Ignore it, we are matured and i hope you too.
I think the downside when u speak english with an accent. People would think that ur a foreigner and they might take advantage of that . Maybe they might charge u higher price compare if they know ur local. Same with other islands in PH, for example u go to visayas for a vacation, they would charge u higher compare to the locals.
That is absolutely true, we've experience this is in local gift stores, green hills and local markets. I guess just g2 get better switching to tagalog : )
Keep speaking English dahil diyan kayo mas komportable. I'm not surprised dahil sa English-speaking country like Canada. kayo lumaki. Maraming Pinoy gustong magsalita ng fluent English. Tamang tama kayong ehemplo. ❤
Malalaman mo nmn na sanay kayo sa english kase you can tell by your accent na galing kayo sa ibang bansa..Yung iba diyan trying hard mag english tigas tigas ng english nila Nde na lang mag tagalog ..lol Pero mas maganda din na try mag tagalog lagi para tataas yung viewers nyo.❤
i can't understand your videos if you don't speak English, and I would appreciate if you continue vlogging in English,I'm sure there is more English speaking people than me watching your video.
