Your lectures are very helpful. I hope there will be some coverage on the lines such as the Winawer French (I think so at least) that you didn't cover on the Chessbrah channel too, one day :) I'm currently rated 1800 but when I was starting to watch some of your old and new videos a year ago I was just 1600 so it helped me a lot so far and I use quite some of the lines today.
Hello Miodrag Perunovic l am loving your philidor defense videos. I see this defense a lot at my level. I only wish you would have numbered the videos so we knew which was the best order to watch them in, and how many there are. Thanks again friend!
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial I did not see it in the gambit playlist or philidor videos. I found the Morphy Gambit against the Petrov, but that is not quite the same.
There is a tricky move order for Black 1 e4 d6 2 d4 Nf6 3 Nc3 e5 4 Nf3 Nbd7 5 Bc4 Be7 This is called- " Modern Philidor" What would recomend against this?
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial I think in ur style some crazy pawn sack g4 k: g4 as it goes))) Like Shirov 1 e4 d6 2 d4 nf6 3 nc3 e5 4 nf3 nbd7 and i dont remember but thr move 5 g4 is Shirovs choice)))
Mio, sorry I know the plan Bf4, Qd2, 0-0-0, f3, g4, h4 But, the move B e2 is kinda mysterious to me I think most if us guys go straight with the plan without Be2))) I guess Be2 is good for practical reasons, Black never knows where we castle )))
That’s exactly the reason! You delay decision with 0-0-0 and Be2 is clever waiting move since you wait to see if Black will go for c6 (that means he wants b5 with Qside action) and in that case you play an improved version with 0-0!
Mio do you have any lines against 4 knights for black? At novice level we have so many of these games, theyre slow boring and white always has a tempi. How do we offset them?
Depends what they do after four knights. In case of 5. Bb5 Nd4!; In case of 5.Bc4 Ne4!; in case of 5. d4 ed4 6. Nd4 Bb4 and in case of 5. g3 Ne4!? Like Halloween 🎃 reversed!
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial oh, sorry. I wasnt very clear. What I meant to say was the fianchetto for black. The variation is: 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 d6 3 d5 exd5 4 Nxd5 Nf6 5 Nc3 g6 then black fianchettos his dark squared bishop
These are one of the best lectures on UA-cam
Hritwik Ranjan I appreciate your positive comments! Thanks!
Damn right
For sure, i switched from d5 to e5 because of these lectures. A lot more fun. Just boom and easily winning.
Mio is my most favourite on-line teacher ever! :-) keep doing excellent work :-)
Vladimir Misorin Thanks a lot bro!

Been looking for a way to fight against the Exchange Philidor and loved this video. What a great teacher you are, IM Perunovic 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks! Took you 1 year to realize that 😂😂😂

Fantastic, so glad you are back after recording those chessbrah lectures a while ago!
Keep them coming!
Chessentials Thanks :)
As usually, this is so accurate and well explained! Can't wait to test it in my games 👍
Good luck man 💪
Do you have a video on the morphy gambit (Philidor) in this position? 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 exd4 4. Bc4
Yeah, made somewhere earlier, find it

That’s the main Philidor line, will do it one day... It’s the most solid for Black of all Philidor lines!

Great video, Mio! :) Do you know what I can do to get better at winning won positions because i often struggle with this issue?
Jojo Thanks! There will be a big number of lectures on the topic “Realisation”, but at the moment, we will get stuck on openings!

Can you skip Bf4 if you want to play be2 and just play Qd3 ..Qg3 then go Bh6 in one move?
Bf4 is an important part of the line to go against d6 pawn in some lines… also it gives you easier 0-0-0 in some lines
