I have iPad Pro 9.7 and Apple Pencil first generation. My iPad doesn’t support Pencil 2nd generation. I’m using iPad for note taking. My only issue with my Pencil is that it’s difficult to hold compared to newer generation pencil. If I keep case cover on pencil, will both the pencils are same to hold? I’m thinking of buying elago case. Coz of this pencil , I’m trying to change iPad, but I feel it’s a dumb decision. Waiting for ur suggestion/ reply

A cover or Apple Pencil grip will help improve your grip while writing.

Rather than Elago case a grip will also do. Elago case is good too but only if you are okay with the thickness of pencil increasing.
I have shared some other issues that comes with that case otherwise it’s good for aesthetic purposes.

In both the pencils the battery is so small that there is no drain as such in the device almost negligible.
