Namaste I am from South Africa. Our ancestors came from India in 1860 to work on sugarcane farms.They worked hard and toiled and the 1thing they didn't forget was our scriptures. Ramayan, Gita and Bhagwatam etc.Thats how our culture is alive today.I love listening and reading about our forefathers who landed in different places yet I still feel a deep connection to our mother land Bharat.lots of love .
Beautiful documentary, very historical, I, am from Suriname, my parents came also in 1873 to Suriname by ship Lalla Rookh, brought by the Dutch colony to the west indies, 5 year Girmith time... Some leaf Suriname, but a lot stay in the Dutch colony named Suriname now independent 25th November of 1975...

It's pitty they show only the Indian hindoe people's not honestly because there were also a lot of Moslims Indians who brings to Mauritius, in my opinion don't bring BJP Mody policy to your lovely Mauritius
This will not be possible because there is a large population of Afro-Mauritians who are Christians and also many Muslims from India, besides a minority population of Chinese and White people.
This programme show only Hindu culture coming from India. No Muslim immigrant at all. But you denied Muslim coming as well.They never talk about it. You need to have tolerance when you talk about history.
Maybe it is because they didn't find any Muslim who is welcoming integration. As we see in this video all cultures know to live by loving each other and respecting each other. Muslims are probably living in their parallel society as elsewhere (India, UK, France, Lebanon etc...) in the world as they think they are better than others.
It's not needed to discriminate, some minister mentions in the documentary only the languages Hindi, Tamil, but not Urdu but Urdu is also mixed with the hindi language...please don't import BJP Modi policy to your lovely Mauritius... 😊❤
