I'm mauritian and I'm not gonna lie but Rs 1,500 for this shirt is so expensive. They were trying to scam u..the normal price is like rs500

As a Mauritian, shame on people trying to scam tourists. They are an embarrassment for this country.
Tip for tourists: tell them the locals told you the correct price before buying. If you see youngsters (they are more comfortable with English) going by, try to get them to help you and give you the price range for the goods you are trying to buy.

Yeah you have to wake up early in the morning to get a Dal Puri! If you look across the beach in the morning there's always a massive queue of people lined up for them at the vendors. It's always powdery though! We used to just have it with some chutney and only really had curry with rotis.

Outstanding video of the capital city of Port Louis. Is it safe to walk around the city not just in the daytime? What hotel did you stayed in? No less than a 4 star in order to have central air, cleanliness, comfort, and security then off to the 5 star beach resorts which I have seen on videos the One & Only and the Four Seasons. those shirts actually cost 350 -500 mauritian rupees and it's not even the best quality ! As a resident of mauritius i find it mindblowing that they make foreigners pay twice the price ! such a scam tbh > _
Harriet and I found the food so good and the downtown of Port Louis very interesting, like a seaport town. Did you find it expensive ? How much do you think you spent in a day ? Food, Accommodations and Entertainment ? In U.S. dollars and Pounds ? It looks like you can bargain hard with the vendors. It looked very busy in Port Louis when you were there.

To be honest, it really wasn’t that expensive. I think people think it’s really expensive because of the resorts but actually the local shops etc were really reasonable!! Thanks for watching!

1. Try the Tribeca Mall, within the Winners hypermarket , in the Gourman d'Ile food section.
2. I know another place in Port Louis where you can buy mochis...Edith Cavell street, Fong Sing building...The stall on the left, it also sells bubble tea, milkshakes and french cakes.
