Both you and Arya have shown sen1+2 used for block pressure in your Reina guides (20:38 in this video), but as far as I can tell, sen1+2 is always, ALWAYS unsafe on block. The frame data says you're -6, but that doesn't account for the fact that you're forced into Heaven's Wrath, and you can't block in HW. A jab string will stuff every HW option, including hw1 and hw4 (which are armored and high crush respectively, but they do not come out in time). You do not even have time to CD out of HW and block. Even if she's in heat, a crouch jab will not trigger the parry because the game considers it a low, and just like a jab it'll crush every option. As another commenter notes, the HW parry in heat also doesn't work on any moves that leave the ground, so ws4,4d is completely punishable as well. There might be tons of more creative or character-specific ways of beating most of this HW pressure. I think most of it is not real.
@@jkdman2007 I feel like its a side effect of week 1-everyone’s just copying each other but I do think the neat part is there’s a lot of benefits for adding in more moves, at least thats what I’ve done as I kept going and it’s made me appreciate a whole lot more than just ff2 into Sentai 3 lmao
Just a quick note: keep in mind war god kick has 2 versions, normal one is -13, electric war god kick is -9. Also normal war god 21 damage, electric is 27
Theres also a stance Unsoku, which auto punch parries depending which side, U3 or D3, you can also B3 but it doesnt parry. ANyway when you press 4 fom this stance you get an evasive mid safe heat engager with insane range. I continuously use B3 then 4 as a keep out mechanic which works quite well when someone wants to engage you. Everyone lands into it, im pretty sure that move has the biggest range in her moveset. B3 isnt so bad as an evasive technique to make your oponents wiff then use 4, U3 and D3 can be good sidestep options if you want to parry as well.
Just to add to this: - She can't do running electrics or wave dash from a distance. Basically, she can't do crouch dash while in "running" state. - Her 3+4 is underrated. i18f, low crushes, HUGE range, safe at -8, can be extended with 4 input for a ch launcher, totally safe while in heat with another extended kick, all hits are natural combo.

What if she's really Kazuya's synthesized "daughter" that Heihachi created from genetic material he got from Kaz to try and distill the devil gene from her? OR, what if Hei goes full chaotic good and created her as a test subject to see if the devil gene can be removed from somebody without killing them?
There's so much about Reina ff2 or 1,1,2 to sentai 1+2 is always fun, you go directly into HW and there's so much game there She can also condinionate a lot with the stances, just do sentai throw twice and you have people ducking for a sentai 2 or a sentai 1+2 then HW throw, which you can also conditionate, she's a monster when you learn how to connect everything, but the lack of lows makes it really tough
I feel bad because I use hellsweep so much and sidestep 4 and i feel like im spamming but those are our obly 2 options lol I'm so glad i picked her up because its so satisfying to do 1,1,2 into sentai snd 1+2 on hit and then 4,2,2,1+2
I think her lows are the most affective if you don't use them too often. Use highs, like EWGF and throws to force people to duck instead. Use hellsweep more at the wall or during heat, if you use SS4 a lot, try faking the low doing sidestep into F4 or something.
I've been playing her for a little bit and want to main her. This is my first Tekken game ever. However, you say she's a very difficult character. Does that matter for beginners, or is she mainly difficult to master?
Wait you can cancel Heaven's Wrath CH1 into Sentai 1+2? This means Heaven's Wrath CH1 is a launcher against Jack because she can pick up him after Sentai 1+2 with 1. (Or maybe I remember incorrectly and it's Kuma, not Jack)
How do you do electric so fast? I’m used to Street Fighter where you didn’t have to go back to neutral after the forward input. So sometimes I end up imputing a DP instead of EWGF. So I usually just input forward and then wait half a second and then do the quarter circle input. This takes forever though and if I try doing it in a match I just get counter hit lol. (I play on Pad)
I'm still not the most consistent with it, so there may be better ways, but I tend to flick the stick towards (letting it reset naturally to neutral) then do the quarter circle
Glad everyone is saying she is hard, i learned her day one took me 3 days to learn the entire movelist off by heart including all moves than can cancel into stance or crouch. Now i feel extremely confident with her. So now im just playing reina with all her tools in the bag but im getting better at fundamentals now
I've been playing alot of Reina but I am SUPER new and I was curious if there is a point in using the down-foward,3* to go into God Step instead of the usual like foward , down-foward, forward ? Is it like a beginner friendly way to get into that "stance" ? I'm genuinely curious
@@SGHNTZ I'm sorry I meant DF 3 ! But okay. In the game it says doing the input does a powered up version so I should've read it earlier but to your point during combos it might be useful
@@JMartini810 So basically, there is a move of Reina and other Mishimas which is called Electric Wind God Fist(Let's call it EWGF), which is the just frame version of Wind God Fist(WGF), there are 3 ways to do EWGF with Reina and Kazuya(Only 2 ways with Jin and Devil Jin), the 3 ways are: 1. Forward -> Neutral -> Down -> Down+Forward + 2 2. Forward -> Down -> Down+Forward + 2 3. Forward > Neutral -> Down+Forward + 2 The first version of EWGF comes out at 14 frames, if I remember correctly the second version also comes out at 14 frames and the third version comes out at 13 frames which is the fastest input for EWGF and this version is only possible with Reina and Kazuya due to their unique steps, but note that you can't do this version from a dash, so you can't do double Forward or running Down+Forward 2(But you can do it from sidesteps) and you have to press the Down+Forward 2 simultaneously for each versions otherwise you will only get a WGF, and speaking of WGF, Reina has a similar move to EWGF which is the same input but instead of 2 you input 3 and you get a safe powered up version of the kick, now these just frame powered up moves are not possible to do if you do DF3 instead of the normal input, both options are key moves for her(Especially EWGF) and pretty necessary to learn if you want to get better with her. (Sry if I worded something wrong or weird, I'm tired)
@@SGHNTZ This is an amazing comment and I think I understand completely ! Reina also has this move where she ducks, It's square+circle on PS5 which I think is 2 and 4? Idk if this isn't intended by it helped me learn timing and now I can get it 1 out of 5 times which I know isn't consistent by ANY means but better than what I was doing ! Anyways AMAZING comment and I appreciate you taking the time to explain because it definitely helps me understand the frame data better !

I kinda disagree with ff2 application. You can mixup your options be going for sentai 2 or sentai 4 or you could even just do an empty roll to see how they react. Even in cases where the opponent nows to duck sentai 3 it still works great to counter act retaliation or to maintain pressure.
I think she has a really strong wallcombo in cd13 into guaranteed cd3 , I don’t know if it is fully guaranteed because it whiffs on some situations. It’s like Jack b12 megaton upper damage if it hits tho
think about that df2 again. if you want to whiff punish but drop the electric, you will still get the launch no matter what.
i love going against reinas. cuz she's so cute I don't even feel mad when they beat me to pulp. Also... They run into my flash waaayyy more than any other character.
10/10 guide. how concerned should i be about reaction speed at 37 years old? never played FG's seriously.
I'm struggling to do what you do at 19:00 minutes in. I can't seem to automatically go into Heavens wrath after the kick?
hold down the same way you do with other moves to transition into HW
need that azucena guide badly
I dont have fast reflexes and i suck at Electrics.
But i just hit Vanquisher and i am having a Blast with Reina and finally getting some People that dont spam you or themself to Death.
What if she's really Kazuya's synthesized "daughter" that Heihachi created from genetic material he got from Kaz to try and distill the devil gene from her? OR, what if Hei goes full chaotic good and created her as a test subject to see if the devil gene can be removed from somebody without killing them?
There's so much about Reina
ff2 or 1,1,2 to sentai 1+2 is always fun, you go directly into HW and there's so much game there
She can also condinionate a lot with the stances, just do sentai throw twice and you have people ducking for a sentai 2 or a sentai 1+2 then HW throw, which you can also conditionate, she's a monster when you learn how to connect everything, but the lack of lows makes it really tough
my thought exactly. didnt lose yet to a single reina by just not ducking at all :> she has no low threats.
I hope they make her buff like her dad In future games
CD3 is very good against steve (other char with strong highs), basically this move makes him respect you and dont throw brainlessly his b1
I've been playing her for a little bit and want to main her. This is my first Tekken game ever. However, you say she's a very difficult character. Does that matter for beginners, or is she mainly difficult to master?
She has an 11 frame punish option as well. Not sure how useful it is since the range is tiny. Slide input 2-1.
I wish less people played her.
Unless I’m missing something here but her hellsweep doesn’t stagger for me. Even when I block it her leg passes straight through my block.
It’s still launch punishable I think and it’s also the worst reward out of the Mishima style hellsweeps
@@pranavjain8774 hellsweep 2 on hit is -1. My jaw dropped when I saw it.
@@jsmth99 Hold down to go into HW and then she's plus.
ws+3+4 also gives you +14 not counter hit and do a guaranteed ff+2 follow to sentai 3. electric if possible but it's really hard
A detailed look at Reina, you say? Iam quite....intrigued 😏😏
Back 3 stance into 4 catches so many people on lower ranks on start of round as well.
Yea I’m almost in orange and what I do is b3 d3 into sentai s3. I call it the him him shuffle
The hardest thing about this character will be not getting killed because u can't stop spamming that electrical wave dash 😂
I always get jabbed out of heavens wrath after sentai 1+2, do you need to cr dash cancel to block like jins old f4 or am i missing something :/
Thanks for the Vid
Another good option with Heaven's wrath CH 1 is press to forward to Sentai 1+2 heaven's wrath 2 garanti 60+ damage
So now im just playing reina with all her tools in the bag but im getting better at fundamentals now
That's great to hear.
I've been playing alot of Reina but I am SUPER new and I was curious if there is a point in using the down-foward,3* to go into God Step instead of the usual like foward , down-foward, forward ? Is it like a beginner friendly way to get into that "stance" ? I'm genuinely curious
You mean DF3? Maybe it only useful during combos, but I don't see why anyone would use it tbh.
@@SGHNTZ I'm sorry I meant DF 3 ! But okay. In the game it says doing the input does a powered up version so I should've read it earlier but to your point during combos it might be useful
@@JMartini810 So basically, there is a move of Reina and other Mishimas which is called Electric Wind God Fist(Let's call it EWGF), which is the just frame version of Wind God Fist(WGF), there are 3 ways to do EWGF with Reina and Kazuya(Only 2 ways with Jin and Devil Jin), the 3 ways are:
1. Forward -> Neutral -> Down -> Down+Forward + 2
2. Forward -> Down -> Down+Forward + 2
3. Forward > Neutral -> Down+Forward + 2
The first version of EWGF comes out at 14 frames, if I remember correctly the second version also comes out at 14 frames and the third version comes out at 13 frames which is the fastest input for EWGF and this version is only possible with Reina and Kazuya due to their unique steps, but note that you can't do this version from a dash, so you can't do double Forward or running Down+Forward 2(But you can do it from sidesteps) and you have to press the Down+Forward 2 simultaneously for each versions otherwise you will only get a WGF, and speaking of WGF, Reina has a similar move to EWGF which is the same input but instead of 2 you input 3 and you get a safe powered up version of the kick, now these just frame powered up moves are not possible to do if you do DF3 instead of the normal input, both options are key moves for her(Especially EWGF) and pretty necessary to learn if you want to get better with her.
(Sry if I worded something wrong or weird, I'm tired)
@@SGHNTZ This is an amazing comment and I think I understand completely ! Reina also has this move where she ducks, It's square+circle on PS5 which I think is 2 and 4? And pressing Down-foward and 2 frame perfect she does the EWGF ?! Idk if this isn't intended by it helped me learn timing and now I can get it 1 out of 5 times which I know isn't consistent by ANY means but better than what I was doing ! Anyways AMAZING comment and I appreciate you taking the time to explain because it definitely helps me understand the frame data better !
@@JMartini810 Wait what move are you talking about? It's a stance? I seriously don't know what her 1+4 move is, lol.
Wait... Reina can do FF2~F into Sentai 3 after Heaven's Wrath 1 on CH, and it's +13, so this means she can do FF2~F into Sentai 3 after F4 on crouching opponents and after WS2 on CH aswell?
Would you consider her harder than normal jin ? Her being fast feels super forgiving
If anyone is looking for a good combo that does 99 damage without heat and can wall to wall on Azucena sized staged and below. Electric > ff2f >3 (towards the end of sentai spin) > df1,1 > f2,3f > (wait for sentai spin to end) df,1 hold forward > 1+2 > 3,4 > dash into d4,1. Execution isnt to complex either.
I'm pretty sure you can transition into heaven's wrath from WS 4, 4 by holding down after regardless of heat, or am I wrong?
Edit: Nevermind he meant that the parry is only accessible in heat.
Thank you
Please make a detailed devil Jin guide! 🙏
How do you do the move when you see them on the ground with their chest up? I can't seem to find it. Kinda hard to understand what you were saying at that time.
the down 4 1 with just input is the very last move on her movelist, it's the one under the header for when your opponent is down
you missed 1+4 high crush to electric... could kill hwoarangs and other strings that you know when to crush high
We need Jun guide! 😅
Actually sentai 1+2 is not safe when not in heat, yes it's -6, but you cant block in this stance and cant cd cancel it in time
anyone else notice we get a "dorya" from reina on the 2 of SEN1,2? :)
