So heaven's wrath, unsoku, her (i think it's) u1+2 flip, and most importantly, wind step. Still requires a perfect df+2 of course the wind step (f, n) one is particularly good because it means you can do a slightly quicker input variation of the EWGF by just doing f n df+2, skipping the down input entirely. also, and i'm yet to test if this is practically useful, but i did notice her safe-ish Sin Smiter mid (b 2), and her Eisaimon low (db 2) have very similar startup animations, and could be a useful mixup on conditioned opponents

@TheBigEmstos but no it's not. It is literally succeed or die type low. The first and both seconds hits are launch punishable. For hitting the second hit on counter hit you launch. But for hitting the high you get to go into stance. While the stance is good, you need way more effort and danger to apply damage on that low. It's arguably a necessity to put some fear to duck. But she doesn't have a good low. Every low she has is more risk than the reward.

This opens up the character's accessibility, while still holding a very high skill ceiling. I fucking love this character if you can't tell. Nothing biased about this.

I was bummed about losing Heihachi and I was coming into Tekken 8 hoping she would play exactly the same, but the more I learn about her new tools the more I excited I am about Reina. She has just enough of Heihachi's gameplay and personality and she brings so much interesting stuff to the table.
She has a pretty scary wall game. Heihachi's f+4 into df+1,2. Unbreakable grab from Heaven's wrath deals massive damage if it hits the wall, and ws+3 (which has an easymode iws input by df+3) is a hit-confirmable wall splat, albeit ws3 on its own is -10 ob. db+4,2 is also a hit confirmable on counter hit (makes a distinctive noise on ch) and wall splats. Also her 3+4 has a weird interaction during a wall combo if only one of the two hits land (you achieve this by sidewalking prior to 3+4), allowing you to crouch cancel into heaven's stance and get the full 4,2,2,1+2 from it, although I feel like this is a bug and will be fixed eventually. Also I feel like there's potential in her sentai grab at certain wall angles; I've gotten few back launches if the opponent tried to stand up. Given her shitty lows, I think it's worth going into heat way earlier than you would on other characters to get that chip damage. The parry from heaven stance is scary, although susceptible to hop kicks and knees/elbows so not something you can spam willy-nilly.
Once you master all the moves that can transition into HW stance with frame advantage you can get a cheeky CH 1 into PEWGF if you have the execution that makes her even more intimidating

Also worth mentioning that just like Kazuya, Reina has a perfect electric with f, n, df + 2! And just like Kaz, she has a frame perfect counterhit launcher from HW 1, wherein it's exactly 13 frames.
also something to note!!!! 1+4 is a duck that also lets u crouch dash out of it, and like a proper electric one, so u have access to what is essentially a low profile electric!!
This guide is amazingly edited and very stylish but feels it's made more for people who already play Tekken and doesn't get into a lot of explaining on why/how things work. The electric dash was described as "doing it the ol' fashioned way" which for a beginner sends me to google and likely a different video. Stuff like that is all over. I get Salami wanted it to be digestible but it just makes another gate for new players I guess I gotta find a different beginners guide and come back here when I just have a better understand
Her stances are very reminiscent of akuma's demon flip, while resembling Heihachi's f2 spin cancel in appearance. She gets to make you guess for free in neutral with her 12f plus on block mid into sen
Been playing quite a few characters, but the other day I realised I’ve been spending so much more time on the new characters. They really hit it out the park in this one.
I’ve tried doing her tornado kick from her turning stance, shit’s hard and it’s like a main move. I’ve gained even more respect for all the technical stuff she gotta do
"This move transitions into sentai stance, more about that later" *procedes to never elaborate on any of her stances beyond like a single line each saying one thing it does*
Wasn't really interested in the character at first, but now she seems very cool with multiple stances flow. Excellent video as always, looking forward to our steve changes!
exceptional video!! congrats as always. as a newcomer to the franchise I am extremely fascinated by the complexity of this type of characters. are all tekken characters this complex somehow?
One thing to mention that is kinda par for the course by mishima's in this game but theres one unique way onyl reina can use it is the guaranteed electrics while heat is up, because the manual button input for wind god step normally not having any way to access electric variants suddenly gives them all for free.

Blasted with the best guides and his beautiful english. learning both the game and Improvisating my english ❤️
I get Salami wanted it to be digestible but it just makes another gate for new players
I guess I gotta find a different beginners guide and come back here when I just have a better understand
For a newcomer, Reina is already widely popular when playing Tekken 8 online, even within the first week of release!
Such a good video!
Nice video guide, waiting for the other characters guide ❤
I see now, so at my noob ranks, i will do well to use mid power crushes to reject being conditioned and protect myself from reina setting up her lows.
Just now unlocked her, going to try her and jun out. Been loving alisa and victor way to much. Thanks for the video
Can you do kuma guide for the true son of heihachi
I'm sure they will do a guide for everybody, just give it a season or two
@@ThriceGr8 oh that sad but maybe somebody will do it early for the memes and kuma is really strong in the game
Fr the new characters are masterpieces. So fun and so much to learn
Thank you very much for the video ! This has helped me so much
I’ve tried doing her tornado kick from her turning stance, shit’s hard and it’s like a main move. I’ve gained even more respect for all the technical stuff she gotta do
"This move transitions into sentai stance, more about that later"
*procedes to never elaborate on any of her stances beyond like a single line each saying one thing it does*
amazing character and amazing video Arya, nice one
Wasn't really interested in the character at first, but now she seems very cool with multiple stances flow. Excellent video as always, looking forward to our steve changes!
welp, looks like she's going to be my introduction to this series, independtly of how hard she might be. she's just too cool
Thank you! Been waiting for this
exceptional video!! congrats as always. as a newcomer to the franchise I am extremely fascinated by the complexity of this type of characters. are all tekken characters this complex somehow?
Kazuya, Reina and Steve's videos being close to one another
Damn I don't have to wait long for my mains it seems lmao
One thing to mention that is kinda par for the course by mishima's in this game but theres one unique way onyl reina can use it is the guaranteed electrics while heat is up, because the manual button input for wind god step normally not having any way to access electric variants suddenly gives them all for free.
Always been a fan of Yoshimitsu and old Jun, so Reina's mix of stances, parries and hit-and-run sounds like just my thing! Wish Lidia was back tho...
Reina feels like if Heihachi and Lidia had a baby that loved to freestyle. So much stuff to work with but that’s what makes her fun.
Thanks 🤍🤍
Great video, breaking the character down like this makes her feel a lot more approachable
For some reason, im getting serious Kazumi Mishima and Aoi Umenokoji from VF5 vibes. Can't wait to dive in. Thanks again for another great video.
Her attack flow is incredible. A worthy addition to the Mishima Fighting style legacy
nice video, hope to see a general overview of all the characters like before
The is perfect, I’m committing to Reina and devil and it’s been a great experience
