Another thing is the characteristics/quality/ performance of the team in each particular season. Personally I always going to choose Bielsa.
We've been the better team in every game except West brom. That was a good point away against a Corberan team that is very structured and played for a point.

Not really the same, Bielsa had more goal contributions from Midfield, to offset our strikers being off it. Pablo, Klich, Dallas and Phillips, we had more goal contributions from our Fullbacks in Dallas, Ayling and Alioski. Even our CBs under Bielsa had a better goal scoring return, from set pieces no less, Cooper, Jansson.... all while keeping the most clean sheets in the league when in the Championship. I feel if the recruitment team, took Bielsa seriously, with his notion that his teams have a maximum of 3 seasons within his system, he'd still be here, and we'd probably be regularly qualifying for Europe. But Radz wanted to do it on the cheap, not recruit properly and the team fell apart, and sadly MB paid the ultimate price.
difference is bielsa had a squad built on the cheap and farke had a squad worth over 200m and failed
What your talking about. Half of that was either sold or loaned out. And not to mention we overpaid for many of those.
Transfers were resolved super late in the window as well.
Main fault is with the board, especially Radz.
It is still relatively the same if you take into acc inflation. We have been spending under 10 mil per player this passed window.The most expensive players are players who were part of those cheap players under Bielsa whos value increased in the prem. So you are actually incorrect.

Great Vid Joe, Some Leeds fans have very short memories, and you have shown what I have been thinking these past few days that Fans need2 take alook at what was happening/saying when Bielsa was in charge, saying the same things about the big man as fans are doing now with Farke, With Bielsa in charge Leeds had some fantastic games etc, and with Farke we had them Last season as well when Leeds went on a run etc, but Obviously Some Leeds fans don't remember that, (same as your 90 point trophy you keep holding up)😉 Some fans are already writing this season off after 5games, and you know what,I'm so glad that Leeds united isn't run by the fans coz they'd be sacking a manager every month.

Agree..last season Joseph got a brace vs Chelsea and farke still refused to play him but now he's our number 1
Whilst there are some similarities not all things are equal. Bielsa turned water into wine, but there are times Farke has turned wine into Ribena. Most of our losses during the promotion were whenever Pablo was injured and some of the games KP missed when he got suspended.
I agree we are all on edge more than because of what's at stake, PTSD and watching other teams just roll over without a fight against our promotion rivals.
We battered teams under Bielsa and had a great defensive record. Yes we lost the odd game that we shouldn't have but we were much better then than we have ever been under Farke.

Rob is absolutely right. We are such an over-reactionary fan base at times . You’re right though, it’s explained by how much pressure there is on this season to go up. Maybe we should wait a bit longer to see how it plays out before throwing the toys out the pram 😂
You mean like the season we got relegated from the PL for just waiting a bit longer with Marsch? Aston Villa are glad they weren't patient with Gerrard and if we waste this season we are toast. Everybody leaves and replacements will be bog standard at best.
@@EllandRoar84 we waited until after the January window with Marsch, we’ve played 5 games this season. All I’m saying is maybe give it another 5 and see where we are at before jumping to conclusions. I agree though that’ll be a disaster if we don’t go up this season.
@@manlikewalshy March had a year and it all seemed like a waste once he was gone. Farke has had over a year and I don't fancy waiting a year and a half especially if we're seeing the same mistakes and lack of plan when we concede. It just feels like we're sleep walking along that same old path again
@@EllandRoar84 yeah agreed mate. Hopefully we don’t wait too long to make a change if it goes south but I’m hopeful it will turn around with the players we have.
@@manlikewalshy for what it's worth I hope Farke can turn it around. But my guy feeling is telling me we're Gona stay amongst the pack again like last season and players he didn't use will be needed in the run in and will be undercooked just like last season's meltdown too.
Of course opinions will change week on week based on performance and results. It's right that fans are currently concerned, how boring would it be if we were all calm and didn't have divided opinions.

Klich was crap but had heart Ben white wasn't ours , ayling was average at best and nketiah wasn't that good back then . As for Pablo if only he was younger

Klich was one of the best midfielders in the league, ayling was 1 season off being close to a bloody england call up, pablo was unreal and would of walked into any side in that league, and ben white was still in the squad. I swear the fan base has built up this image we just had a crap league 2 squad that suddenly became good they were very good players! The only thing i’ll concede on is that bielsa had a lot less squad depth.

Bielsaball had a strategy, had passing & movement, high tempo, took risks, and was actually entertaining to watch whatever the result (most games). I would pay £50 to watch Bielsaball and £5 to watch Farkeball.
Just hope at the end of the season we don’t look back to this point and regret not having been ready again like last time Joe ?? MOT

People are going to be saying things like the squads value is higher now etc. forgetting that our most expensive players were the players that were under Bielsa whos values increased in the prem. the players from the passed 2 windows were under 10 million relatively the same as under Bielsa.

Loved this video Joe - you obviously really enjoyed making it! Very insightful about fan and podcaster reactions. Really does show us the wisdom of not jumping to snap judgements and the value of staying firmly behind our manager and players. They cannot be perfect as they are humans, there is always another team on the pitch and a referee and an element of luck. Of course we have the quality to get top 2 MOT

Surely then, if it is the same, is it really down to the managers decisions, or are the forces above him tying his hands?
They are similar in that they have one way of playing, and if plan A doesn't work do plan A better. However I don't think farke does anywhere as well as bielsa did with that group of players in 2018.

This is so funny. Hindsight is 20/20. Easy to look back and say it was a great time coz we were winning. But realistically when we were living it, was as stressful as it is this season
If the patient fans of Leeds were Aston Villa fans they'd probably be sat in the championship telling the rest of the fans to still have faith in Gerrard and Unai Emery would be a 'knee jerk reaction' etc easy to highlight one game as analysis but it doesnt tell the whole story by a long shot.

Farke should be sacked if Leeds aren’t in the top 2 within the first 10 games. Too one dimensional and zero passion.
So if we win all our next five games, but we're only 4th or 5th because some of the teams above us also win a lot of their games, would you still sack him? We can't legislate for other teams winning, we can only win our own.
