"Suddenly I woke up and there I was, solid and unmistakable. But I didn't know if I was a man who had dreamt I was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that I am a man." - Chuang Tzu
I almost feel like they made this album for me. The synth melodies that contonue throughout the whole album just hit the spot. This is exactly what I wanted from giz. It's perfect
Seriously, thank you so much for this album. This pandemic has ruined me emotionally and now that things have been getting better I've been trying so desperately to motivate myself to be active again. After listening to this album I immediately felt summer starting, and I haven't felt this happy in awhile. Thanks again for another great album guys :) 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I came into this band around the time this album came out, and while being a major rock and heavier music fan and a fan of most of their albums, I keep coming back to this album. The melodies and arrangements are amazing and gorgeous. When I need to escape at times I find myself coming back to Butterfly 3000, a lot.
Hardest working band in the world? Must be up there. Constant albums, video clips and tours and they are local blokes to boot! Thanks for all the lockdown soundtracks! I never know what I'm gona get when I get a new KGLW album, but I do know that It will be rocking.
These songs just snap me right the fuck out of my depressive states. And they're from the same guys that made Murder of the Universe! Words can't describe how much I love you guys. Come back to Mexico soon!
I've taken about a year off from Gizz, I come back and this is the kind music y'all are making now? This song is fucking Beautiful ! Reminds me of Mendoza by Octopus Project
This is really cool and the shot compositions are lovely. However, there's something about the starkness of these recent videos that just makes me crave for the wackiness of the earlier Jason led videos like people vultures or gamma knife. I am just happy to watch the band grow though and hopefully grow with them and I thank them for everything that they do.
Butterfly 3000 is an album I needed right now and am actually pretty moved by, the melodies that go with these songs are not only perfectly influenced by other music but perfectly done with the King Gizzard touch. I really like the metamorphosis theme
In this album I hear relief, happiness, and a bit of unsettled recognition that the world is still dark. A perfect encapsulation of how I'm feeling post vaccine. Thank you King Gizzard, you've been my favorite since your five-album year and it's not difficult to explain why at all
King Gizzard is so nostalgic and original at the same time. They are really doing some shit on a whole different level. I'm pretty sure they're transdimensional lizard people.
Possibly a basic interpretation but I read the lyrics as a pretty blatant love-letter from Stu to a loved one i.e. his wife or child, and see the video as a representation of Stu being on the road or tour and consistently preoccupied with the sentiment of the lyrics.
When the makers of Robot Stop warns against Photosensitive images, I'm worried...

Wasn’t Jason Galea the maker of Robot Stop and not John?

I like how every Gizz album sounds like a debut album, pure and sincere
That's probably the best analogy for this band I've heard.
It’s funny how every member of King Gizz has a side project…except Stu. And then you realize he has a new side project with every KG album. It’s all his side project lol

How do they go from Sleepwalker, Mars for the Rich, to this song and simply kill it in every song? King Gizzard is something special.
