[Ceramics] Recommendation of porcelain.

I think that most of the pottery that everyone enjoys on a daily basis is ``pottery''.
The soil dug from the mountains is purified and used as clay.
However, there is also a genre of ceramic art called ``porcelain''.
Although porcelain is very delicate and difficult to make, we will explain the recommendations for using porcelain.

磁器の場合、陶土の鉄分などを避ける必要があるので同じ場所での作業は中々大変でしょうね。（窯の中も掃除機をかけることがあるようです。）次回も待っていますよ。

磁器と陶器を同時にやるのは気を使いますが、何とかやっています。
初めて工房に来られる方は、工房が綺麗と仰ってくださいます。
できるだけ綺麗な空間を心がけて、失敗しないように努めています。

磁器は、絵付けで装飾します。
成形だと綺麗に削るから味は、有りませんね。
轆轤成形時もなるべく綺麗に作ります。
手の跡残すのも良く無いと言われますね。
陶器も面白いと思います。
薪窯で焼くなら陶器だと思います。
磁器だとボシに入れて灰が被らないように焼きますが。
陶器だと灰被って思いがけ無い物になるかもと思います。
今殆どガス窯ですが薪の陶器も素晴らしいと思います。
薪窯タクのも大変ですけどね。
今は、薪確保するのも大変だと思います。
ガス窯や灯油窯の方が楽なんですよね。
磁器の薪窯は、生地の青味に違いが出る位ですね。
窯変狙ってる訳じゃ有りませんよね。
轆轤成形だと磁器の方が難しいと思います。
鋳込み成形でも型の繋ぎ目が残ったりしますね。
今は、鋳込みも重くてやる方が少なく成りました。
ましてや轆轤成形なんてしてる方は、少数ですね。
型打ちなんてしてる所も数件だけです。

どのご意見もその通りだと思います。
手作りで磁器製作をしている人はホントに少ないと思います。
ですので、少しでもお役に立てればと思い、磁器製作動画を作っていこうと思います。

待ってました！アメリカ在住ですが、磁器は釉薬の綺麗な色が出ることが多いので、陶器と磁器と半々でやっています。
これからの磁器に関する動画楽しみにしています。

I am interested in trying porcelain; but I understand we need a completely separate studio from non-porcelain clay, to keep it pure.

Please try your hand at making porcelain clay.
Strictly speaking, it's best to have separate studios, but you can also do it in the same space.
Keep the workshop clean and avoid mixing other clays.
That's how I do it.

まってました。よろしくお願いします!特に底のしめかた、どうしてもひびが入ることが多いです。またあまり薄くけずると本焼き後歪んでしまうと注意されます。薄くない磁器なんて、と思いますがその辺のお話しを伺いたいです。

そうですね！実際の作り方に合せて薄さや歪みなどについても解説しますね！
でも私は、薄過ぎる器は良くないと思っております。適度な厚みが使い易いと思っております。
