I'm so pleased Revolution is still active. These games were such a huge part of my childhood. The warmth and character of the creators oozes from every pixel. My only wish is that I could erase my memory and play them all again anew.

I love Broken Sword 1&2 had both for the original PlayStation. I was 17 when Shadow of the Templars was released and with so many games back then aimed at teenagers I picked up this absolute gem of a game. One of if not my favourite game of all time. I also seen my Mum playing these games when I wasn’t. Thank you for the memories.

I laughed when Charles said that if you got stuck in the game you had to wait a month to find the solution in the gaming magazine. I waited for months, maybe almost a year! There was no internet at the time and I'm not sure if the magazines in the country I lived in published the solutions. I remember there was a manual in the game box which said you can call a helpline, but I didn't speak English at that time and it would probably cost a fortune to call abroad so my parents would kill me. I loved it though. It feels great when you finally solve it by yourself. Anyone else wishes that the games would be proper hard again?
OMG lol the goat puzzle in the first Broken Sword. I was playing the game all alone back then, so when I got stuck for like weeks with that goat, I thought my game was broken or sth. One day, out of desperation I started smashing all the mouse buttons and a miracle happened -George started running! I'll never forget that day in my life. Shadow Of The Templars was truly a game that transported me into other places.

Please Charles, bring back the previous Broken Sword Games to Xbox :) I would love the original games, and the option to play director cuts too. Will they arrive one day as you said you would love to bring them to current platforms. So hope this means they are coming.
Ah, the Goat. Back in the day there was a gaming magazine where you could call a number and leave a voice message on an answering machine. 24 hours later you'd have to call back and then someone would have left a recording you could listen to with the "solution" I used this number a couple of times before for Myst and Police Quest or whatever and they always helped me out. Only this time the guy was just as clueless as i was "Uhhh. Yeah we've received your question. But uhhh. Yeah we got a few calls about that Goat before...so uhhh. Yeah, probably just restart the entire game and uhhhh. Maybe you'll get past him now. Might be a "bug" in the game...sorry" Years later in Highschool there was a guy in my class who told me the solution (no idea how he found out) and i got home, loaded up my save from YEARS ago thinking "Yeah, this probably won't work, but i'll give it a shot" and LO AND BEHOLD! I felt like a kid on christmas day 😁 Good times.

First, is there plans to release remastered versions of the sleeping dragon and angel of death, on modern computers it can be quite problematic to run these games, and even if, sometimes there are errors that make it impossible to finish the game. I also think that there is a group of players on new generation consoles who will appreciate these games. And here my second question, Broken Sword 5 was a return to the old formula of the game, which has many fans, however, maybe I am strange, but I really love the above-mentioned parts, even recently played them, and they have aged surprisingly well.
The one puzzle that got me stuck for months as a kid was in the sewer, I tried combining items and got nowhere and clicking on everywhere on screen only for it to be a combination of the two, only found out as I lent the game to a friend and he got past it. I stupidly lent out BS2 to another "friend" and never got it back.
Wow, thank you for answering my question about the removal of the death scenes from the DC (I missed the livestream sadly!) I'm glad you see it as a mistake looking back, from your answer it sounds like the publisher decision was as a result of them wanting the game to appeal to a wider audience. I think the simple solution is to give us a fully remastered BS1 with death scenes intact for its 30th anniversary 😉

I don't know why people make so much fuss about the goat puzzle. Okay, it wasn't simple but I've encountered much harder puzzles in other games, particularly LucasArts games. Some of the puzzles in DOTT and particularly The Dig were almost impossible. I found the puzzle in Broken Sword where you have to get the toilet brush from the kebab seller harder than the goat puzzle. It took me about half hour or so to figure the goat puzzle, but I worked it out logically. Loved the stream, the story about Ron Howard was brilliant.
I worked it out in under a minute purely as I played 2 first and saw the trailer where George runs at the goat and deduced it literally meant quick thinking/movement.
Sad to have missed the stream 😞 Broken Sword means so much to me. Charles is an absolute legend ❤️
