    #10 should have been #1. Not one person wants to ever get out of bed then get cold and put on cold clothes. 😂
    Very informative video. I like your guys’ approach. Good vibes for sure. Thanks for the info.

    Some great tips here. I'm going camping for the 1st time in 30 years and solo in a few weeks in Florida and am more concerned about being too hot! It will be trial and error the first few times, but getting a rechargeable tent fan is top of the list. Probably a sheet for covers inside my sleeping quilt which is rated for 30 degrees. Maybe I can make an "ice water bottle" instead!

      We love our tent fan, definitely helps. And absolutely why not we use frozen water bottles for our coolers and you could totally take one of those inside your tent or bag and just wrap it in a shirt or something if it’s going to be close to your skin. Hmmm what else, definitely pick a site with lots of shade, don’t use the rain fly on your tent unless you’re expecting rain, maybe set the tent up facing into the wind to get the best breeze… if you don’t have good shade you could always make your own too with a tarp or a foil survival blanket to reflect the sun off your tent. Also, if you’re going solo bring multiple camp chairs to set up at your site, it will give the illusion that you’re not alone 😎 Hope this helped, and hope you have fun! 😊🤙🏽

    Thanks for the tips. We’re heading out for some autumn camping this weekend in the near north, Ontario, Canada. We may have a teardrop camper or are sleeping in the back of the truck. One thing that we do when using a metal, or even a Nalgene bottle as a hot water bottle, is to put a sock around the bottle - no burning hot metal on your skin. One thing I remember is the saying “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.” Thanks again.

      Thanks! Nice that’s a great idea! 😃🤙🏽 Haha it definitely gets chilly up there! Hope you have the right clothes and have a great time! 👊🏽😊

    Carry one of those $ 5.oo 60"x80" fleece throws to place over your shoulders like a shawl IF ... you forget your jacket or put in your sleeping bag for a little extra warmth.
    For sleeping clothes I like $ 10.oo fleece PJ bottoms. They'll go under your jeans too to stay warmer durring the daytime

    Another great video, thanks guys! Jamie, could you maybe share a video of how you style or keep your curly/wavy hair looking cute while camping?! I have extremely curly hair and can look crazy after just one night!

      Thank you! I’m totally with you- curly hair is high maintenance!!! If I know we’ll be out there for a while and don’t want to worry about my hair at all, I’ll put it in 2 french braids before we leave with mousse to control the flyaways. Otherwise, I start wearing a hat and a pony tail on day 2.. whatever is going on in the back my head is none of my business 😂😂 another thing that’s helped if I do want to keep my hair down on day 2 is I’ll put my hair in a really high, really loose bun on the very top of my head at night with a silk hair tie. Just a few tips for you! I could go on and on.. maybe a video is needed hahaha -Jaime 😊

    Great tips, guys. I've used my stainless water bottle in a sleeping bag as a hot water bottle a bunch of times. Plus, I try not to drink much water (or beer) an hour or two before sleeping. Nothing is worse than having to walk out in the pitch dark cold at 3am to pee. 😆

    • @WhereWeWild
      @WhereWeWild  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! 👊🏽😊 Nice! The stainless is sweet because you don’t have to worry about the plastic getting deformed or it putting off toxins into the water in case you still want to drink from it later. But it can be so hot you can really burn yourself touching it haha so need to be careful for sure. And lol ugh yeah definitely no fun getting up to pee but when you gotta go ya gotta go! 😁

    You forgot to mention the D.O.G. under the blankets, who loves to be under the blankets and is, of course, the last one to get up in the morning... at least that is my dog!
