Having a serious spinal injury, I have periods of paralyzation. My Rottie understands and joins me at the foot of my king sized bed. She has grown used to me using her thick collar to adjust, sit up and reposition myself. She delivers a small container of my medications on her collar in case I can not move..She saved me once by detecting a spoiled plate of food a caregiver left. But most of all she is my fulltime companion and best friend. She can also smell my tears (even from another room) and always comes running to comfort me. I LOVE ROTTWEILERS.
they are very comforting dogs, i also have a spinal cord injury but mine is more mild and all just results in a weak left leg and foot drop, so i trip often. she'll walk over and just stand guard next to me and theres been a few times ive used her as a support to haul myself up.
Wow that’s amazing to hear , I’m so happy that you have such a beloved companion by your side , and who would’ve that that it would be a Rottweiler ! :) To be honest I just don’t like that people think they are cruel and aggressive or mean or can’t handle easily , but it’s different when you own one for sure . If only people could see that
My Rottweiler is my pride and joy!! I idolize him and talk highly of him to anyone willing to listen (I am a crazy dog mom). He comes with me everywhere and even at 115lbs, he is ALWAYS the best behaved dog anywhere we go. I’ve trained him from the time he was six weeks old and I put everything I have into him because he gives it back to me tenfold. I wouldn’t trade him for the world and he will forever be the most marvelous thing in my life!
We had a Rottweiler years ago that was raised with our 2 sons who were around 2 and 9 years old. We raised him right and he freaking loved all children! and was even aware of his size he would be so carefull around toddlers. At family reunions I would let toddlers walk him on a leash and he absolutely would not deviate from that leash even when other dogs would bark at him. He loved kids so much. If there were kids playing antwhere weather toddlers or teenagers he would freak out untill he could be in the middle of the mix. And if a stranger that he got a bad vibe from approached he would go into super protection mode. He weighed 120 pounds and when he wasn't sure about you he would bark a bark that would make grown man piss their pants and go blind and even in this state was still aware of the kids around him. God all mighty we all miss him sooo much!!! His name was hooch and we have had 2 other dogs since his passing years ago.... None were so aware and loved kids as much as him.......
had one like that when i was a toddler, he was a son of an ex croatian millitary rottie, and he was the sweetest thing, heck i rode him, id say kiki go there , and point my finger, kiki would go there.we were diging sand, and he stole my shovel (i was around 2 and a half), and he took the big shovel, and i rly rly needed it, but he tought we are playing and would not let go, took him by the neck, and pulled myself up, bit him on the tip on his ear, my mother, uncle and grandad saw it, they tought he will kill me, the dog ran away so fast it was suprising, he was behind the fridge the whoul day, they could not find him, until i did find him , peted him and hugged him, and he came out . now i have one that is abit less gentle, but is very active and fun. best breed ever
i have a rottie lab mix, she is a year old now i got her at 10weeks, and since i brought her home she fell in love with the neighbours kids right away and the love is mutual as well to the point now the whole neighbourhood is full of kids and all come to visit her like she is a kid like them, they come get her for play parties they have, they take her on the trampoline and in the pool with them and they all love it, now these are not toddlers, mostly are around 10 yo kids but none have their own dogs so now mine is everybodys but mine to the point that they now have a fort in the nearby woods and my dog doesnt let me near it when on the walk around those parts, she is just so smart, picks up on things and cues really fast and has a neat personality as well, i just love her and how she goes about things, she could throw tantrums and be pissy and stubborn but she mostly chooses not to be as she understands that good things happen when you are a good dog
I'm a deaf handler and have a 8 month Rottweiler. She's already protection trained and great on obedience. She also does nosework for live victim/human remains and bitework. She has 60 commands we work on and the breed is fantastic for both protection/service work. :)
Fred Jason In my experience what makes the Rottweiler great is their intelligence and their drive to protect. I've had Shepherds, bullmastiffs, a gorgeous cane corso, 2 dobes but Rottweilers are the best in my opinion. You don't have to train them to protect. Their so easy to train. Also very affectionate, great family dog.
Fred Jason They are powerful dogs but very gentle and affectionate with their owners. If brought up with consistent leadership they are a fantastic dog to have. Very smart and quick to learn.Ready to go anywhere anytime with you. They move with great explosive power but can be the best cuddle monster too. And that big ol' face....what more can I say? Beast with a heart of gold.
I’m crying believe it or not I’m crying, what a beautiful dog, my son brought home a Rottweiler puppy , no way did I say. Brooklyn is her name she is now one. Never in my life have I had a smarter more loyal dog ever. Any thing I teach her she picks up the first time and thrives on learning more. She is such a strong dog and I’m only very tiny , if I didn’t spend the time with her she would drag me all over the place. These dogs are one special breed I love her with all my heart as she does me. Oscar has been here before ,so many other dogs will learn from this beautiful boy as will his trainer. Thank you for that video and give Oscar a big kiss for me lol
Rottweilers Are Very Smart Plus the fact that you raised him to be a Service dog makes him Extremely Intelligent. That & the fact that his father was also gifted, is what makes him exceptional. Great Work.
He’s a happy lad and loves his work. A beautiful thing to see. Grew up with a beautiful, huge, Rottweiler. Naturally very projective of us, but soft as anything once he knew you were okay and AMAZING with children. A big bear of a dog. Miss him a lot.
My Rottie just turned 1, and he's the best. He's great around the house. He loves attention, and he' super friendly. Make sure and socialize him, and be ready for him to get very strong very fast, so training is very important. Very smart and loyal. Top breed for sure.
i made a big mistake when i bought a rot pup. i think i didn't made him social enough when he was a kid. that dog became a monster for all other strangers as well as family members. but he loved me like hell, never ever in life he even think of hurting me. but for every one else, its opposite of love if you know what i mean. you need to get this dog really social in young age.
sukhbir singh My friend's grandad had a rottweiler- the dog was very loyal to the old man/ owner BUT was dangerous with other family members. They live in a big house and one day the dog attacked one of the children. So they gave the rotti away
if u find the right trainer, it's never to late. it's just conditioning (reprogramming) the mind. that dog sounds perfect (in a certain house with a fenced yard) no intruders. and put him away when u have visitors
Xenømørph King I have a 4 month old Rottie female. High energy. Confident, stubborn, strong. Very smart but only obeys when she has to or knows she'll be rewarded. At 4 months she can pull on a leash with a lot of leverage. Start training young!! My pup is pure bred Serbian/European blood lines. Follows me everywhere. She has to be at my side no matter where I go. She'll give up eating if I leave the room. Naturally plays fetch with toys. Loves to chew... toys, hands, feet....
You will love them! Has been said before but you they can be stubborn. Educate yourself and it will make a fine dog. They do take work so be prepared for it going in.
The rottweiler in my opinion is one of the best protection/guard dogs there is. I currently own a presa canario but will be going back to the rottweiler. (proper rottweiler) not the poor quality bred of one's.
Polo Danni I find the rottweiler to be a better guard/protection dog. I can only speak of the rotty and presa iv owned though. But it seems to come more natural to the rottweiler. The presa is a bigger stronger dog and would obviously beat the rottweiler in a fight. But as a guard dog the rottweiler is the better dog. It's a long story but my presa canario got stolen and was missing for about 6 months. eventually I got him back. And this is where I notice a big difference between them is when they are left alone. If a stranger comes and sweet talks to the presa canario been friendly he will wag his tail and would still happily go with a stranger. I'm not saying all presas are like this but mine is. And I have heard of a few of them been stolen now. However if my rottweiler is left alone say in the yard. And a stranger is been friendly to him, he goes ballistic. Doesn't matter if they have food (we have tested) he will bite. The rottweiler seem to be more willing to attack than the presa. He also seems more aware of what's going on round about him than my presa canario. This also has its flaws. I wouldn't trust my rottweiler is a busy public place. But I would trust my presa. And another downside to the presa is 90% of the time he is on the lead because he will stray and wander off. This is a big problem for me. Personally I wouldn't own another presa canario but they are good dogs. And as I say not all presa canarios will be like this I'm only going by my own. But you hear of them been stolen pretty often which is worrying and tells me it's not just mine that trusts strangers. I rarely ever hear of a rottweiler been stolen. There is no chance mine could be stolen unless he was drugged, but as I say he won't eat food from a stranger.
Hello. I am researching presas myself and have been for a couple of years. I would like to know which breeder you got your presa from. Thanks in advance. I had a rott myself and loved it, but I like the looks of the presa more. However, my rott loved everyone and everything he ever came into contact with.
Thank you for sharing...I have rescued rotties in the Southwest for over 40 years, they are a magnificent all around breed. Back yard breeding and puppy mills, have severely damaged the rottie gene pool. I have been owned by rotties for decades, and have been blessed with many exceptional rescues, always with at least two by my side. Rotties are not for the timid or irresponsible, they are stubborn, powerful, aloof and prone to hip dysplasia. I encourage those considering a rottie to familiarize themselves thoroughly, and to adopt in pairs if possible. In pairs they tend to keep each other occupied and out of mischief. Spay and neuter all rescues, no exceptions...rescue is the gift of life...God bless...
In the UK, the best form of protection you can have is a dog. They are magnificent. Even if they're not trained, even in breeds that aren't natural guard dogs, it's in their instinct to protect their owners or vulnerable people. Once when I was 13, I was walking my auntie's dog in the dark on a quiet road one night when a cyclist stopped and tried talking to me. The dog was growling at him and went to attack him when he tried to stroke her. He gave me abuse and rode off. In my experience of dogs, they just sense evil/bad people before you find out for yourself.
Probably about the only protection we’re allowed to have in public lol. Some dog breeds just score points as protection animals and family members Rottweilers are the pinnacle of that for me. A bark so loud it hurts your ears, brave and so emotionally intelligent and gentle with children.
Dude he is one awesome dog you have made him a Force to be reced with I had one for ten years he was my best friend and I would not have a better protecter and a number one family member to be with 24/7
Here is the problem with protection training service dogs.... PREFACE: * I have been training dogs professionally for almost 40 yrs(1st paying dog training client at age 14.)(I will be 54 in September) *I have trained 5000++ dogs in 40 yrs. *Ihave trained over 200++ service/assistance dogs and their handlers. *I have attended 3 dog training academies(National K9 School for Dog Trainers, Canine Specialty Dog Trainers, St. Augustine K9 School)1989, 1991, 1992 *I apprenticed with Author Joel McMains for 1 yr(go look up his books)1991 *I apprenticed with a military work dog program, at Fort Knox and Leavenworth where military inmates were taught to train service dogs for disabled veterans. 1990 to 1993. Now....I am disabled. I have Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes and some hearing/vision loss. My service dogs have always been rotties. I have owned and bred rotties since 1982. My dogs are trained to pick dimes up off the floor(ie, directed retrieve) turn on/off lights, get a beer from the fridge(yes it's a task), get my gun for me(yes, I own guns), pull a wheelchair, alert to my low blood sugars, detect bombs(not a service dog task), do guide dog work and alert me to sounds I cannot hear Now, all that said.... Situation 1: this actually happened. I was training a chocolate Labrador for a wheel chair service dog. he was young and silly. going over a draw bridge one night to go to the beach to eat(1 mile from my home at the time) he was pulling the wheelchair and someone "barked" at him. he whirled around behind him to see where the dog was...flipped me and the wheel chair over backward. I was unconscious and bleeding on the pavement. Now, my Rottie, at the time, Largo was also there. she was protection trained, because at that time we were traveling yo the middle East and 3rd world dangerous places where I cannot carry a gun. cops came. because I know what I am doing, Largo knew she was to allow people in uniforms to come up to help me...we trained for this extensively. Had she not been properly trained, I might have died, because a protection dog would not allow a paramedic or a police officer to render assistance to an incapacitated person. situation #2. A veteran with PTSD decides to go out to eat in Miami, Florida. his dog is protection trained.....but....the handler is paranoid. Restaurant calls the cops. handler starts cussing and is visibly upset, won't calm down, and is getting increasingly agitated. He begins to have a panic attack. cops decide to remove him. they step toward him, dog steps in front of him, he tightens up on the leash, communicating to his dog he is afraid. Dog decides to protect him from the cops...right or wrong...the cops pull their guns and shoot the dog, arrest the handler for disorderly conduct, and since is sitting there in handcuffs, and cannot even hold his dog as it is bleeding to death....well, now he really has PTSD. These are two very potential situations and are the reasons why it is not a good idea for an assistance/service dog to be trained to bite humans. (unless you have been in this situation, you do not know what it is like)(I am also a veteran, btw)
Karla Brewster wow man where are you located I’m looking to learn some swerious information because I’m a younger man and would love to profit of your experiencea
@@hardcandy7112 she's not protecting you, she is afraid. She will not fight to save you, but only fear bite and likely run. Find a trained(accredited) professional and ask them to help with your fearful dog. I apologise if this came off as aggressive, not my intention. I wish you and your dog luck
you let a reactive dog pull a wheelchair? you clearly have no clue what you are doing if you cant teach a dog to not to react to a bark. you shouldve made took the extra time and made sure the dog was trained not be reactive(a fairly simple process), and to be calm and focused. its amazing how little so many trainers know
@@ArdentK9 i would be hesitant to put any fearful dog into service training. for a lot of dogs the fear never fully resides and a confident overall attitude is best for working dogs
BEST DOGS IN THE WORLD-FOR ANY REASON. I AM A BREEDER, AND I OWN A GIRL THAT HAS AN OFFSPRING JUST AS AMAZING. These Dogs you don't train them you teach them. However, unlike other breeds, they are eager to learn and enthusiastic to show you they learned. Best friends to anyone, until you cross that line...then your life could be in danger...so yea i think i could have this dog forever!! #AKC...DAVIS BOYZ BLOODLINE!!! A-1
Dear ladies and gentlemen, my channel picture shows our late rotti Ina. She was an exceptional dog from a line of police-dogs.She was a calm and self-assured family dog. We never had to teach her good behavior she always read our minds and tried to please us. When I was pregnant with my twins, she realised that I wasn't so keen about other dogs jumping at me for saying hello to me, so she kept all those dogs away from me, that would normally jump at me. Usually we would share a 3-seeter-sofa for watching tv and couch-potatoimg the way that I lay with my head on one armrest, she with her head on the other, but as long as I was pregnant, she used to lay her head on my hip to listen to the noises from my belly. She was the perfect dog. YS twinmama
Thanks for all the great videos!! I'm currently trying to decide on my next dog Corso, Bullmastiff, or Rottweiler. You really help with useful information 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I understand exactly where your coming from our Rocky is the same 10 stone of power but when the grandchildren come to visit he follows the little one like a shadow, very protective of kids, he just loves them, and he even sulks when they go home.
Oskar is just gorgeous, and he seems indeed full of drive. Nice video ! I have also a 2.5 yo female, 90 lb, so athletic and powerfull, very fierce and smart. I love to train her, she's a beast and have natural fighthing skills that I love to challenge, always with control and love. Lot of fun !
This man was a Rottweiler in a past life... he’s beautiful, dark and muscular! He’s even got the same no nonsense cool as a cucumber wise demeanor! BLACK BEAUTY!
I own a GSD and she's 16 months with a very intimidating presence and very high energy. I was seeking a Rott that I feel in love with but he was sold so I got my Shepherd which is actually my favorite breed but I'll get a Rott in the future.
I love Girl so sweet , but the Boy with the right size Black Bollo Head , people turn Heads , i had a Ramsey 130lb cars would stop ,where did you get Him , sometime Annoying .
Tell me about it, I own a czech female and everyone keeps asking either which breed, how beautiful or where did I get her. The most meaningless things, you need to have a dog you can realistically take care of. I work part time and my mother helps take care of her when I'm at work, it takes several people to really work with a dog like this.
If you planning on owning this dog, it’s best you take them out all the time to let them meet people while puppies and other dogs. I’d say Puppy Preschool is a must. If they aren’t social while puppies, they become monsters. They will love you, but will not accept anyone else. Make sure you are up to the task of training all the time if you get this gorgeous dog. Very loyal and social with all types of people and animals if raised correctly.
Awesome explanation man! I just subscribed to your page and looking forward to seeing more of your videos I’m on my 3rd rottie now and LOVE LOVE LOVE this breed!
With all due respect to this instructor, I have to dissociate myself from the fact that states that the Rottweiler has never been regarded as an auxiliary for the defense and protection. ... Who says this must be an American (without detracting anything to the Yankees) in their business is not so much dealing with this European race (in German origin ), here in UE we have the rott, together with certain breeds of shepherd (belgian-sd malinois, gsd, dutch-sd, and some other type of terrier breeds) is excellence with regard to self-defense and or guard the property. Certainly apologize with this American friend for the fact that the American Rott is still a great unknown about his super character and then wasted and much underestimated in all points of view regarding work. In fact however, saw that now he's doing the discovery I invite him to view a documentary posted on UA-cam titled: copia di vita con i cani 3 il primo anno di vita Von Cerbero. Von Cerbero is not only my rottweiler but is the grandson of Astor Von Junipera! Probably this name dont tells you a lot, but in a moment typing on ure pc in a search engine this name you'll see the story of one of the foundations of rottweilers in the world...! Greetings form Sardinia Italian island.
Hello 🙂 My 2 year old now is line bred Astor ! Rotties rule, have had them since 80’s. Wonderfull breed. Hello from Florida. I imported my girl from Alten Festung. Croatia 🇭🇷
Just in the way that Oscar look up at his Master and walk beside him , that said it all , this Rott will do what ever his Master required of him , this take lots of baby /teenager training and tons of communication day after day ,now you have a trained rott .

Animals are gifts that most people don’t understand and appreciate
I love the way this dog trainer speaks about his his work and the dogs. He's a great presenter and seems like an awesome person

you never get over losing them.

Philip Morgan oh cool bro. thanks for the info. next choice rotweiller
Hello. I am researching presas myself and have been for a couple of years. I would like to know which breeder you got your presa from. Thanks in advance.
I had a rott myself and loved it, but I like the looks of the presa more. However, my rott loved everyone and everything he ever came into contact with.
Philip Morgan a Presa wouldn't beat a Rottie ;)
You nailed it ! Rottweiller has supreme intelligence. Thank you for your insights.
God Bless you Boom! RIP! I could walk through Walmart with no leash. 130lbs. of lead! Scared the shit out of many, but, was friendly to all!
WELL-THE ROTTWEILER IS THE BEST DOG BREED EVER-KN ANY KIND OR WAY YOU GOT!!!THANK YOU DOG-T.V TO DEAR KHARI LEE !!
I love this breed for its sheer presence, power and looks it exuberates.
SUPER CLIP =I CAN WATCH THAT DAY AND NIGHT AND NOT TO GET BORING !!!ONA OF THE BEST CLIPS I EVER SAW !!!SHARED IN TWEITER AND FAC BOOK TOO
In the UK, the best form of protection you can have is a dog.
Good to see one with his tail intact.
Both energy and drive are genetic. Breeding is key.
Dude he is one awesome dog you have made him a Force to be reced with I had one for ten years he was my best friend and I would not have a better protecter and a number one family member to be with 24/7
ROTTWEILER=THE BEST !!DANKE !!!
Here is the problem with protection training service dogs....
PREFACE:
* I have been training dogs professionally for almost 40 yrs(1st paying dog training client at age 14.)(I will be 54 in September)
*I have trained 5000++ dogs in 40 yrs.
*Ihave trained over 200++ service/assistance dogs and their handlers.
*I have attended 3 dog training academies(National K9 School for Dog Trainers, Canine Specialty Dog Trainers, St. Augustine K9 School)1989, 1991, 1992
*I apprenticed with Author Joel McMains for 1 yr(go look up his books)1991
*I apprenticed with a military work dog program, at Fort Knox and Leavenworth where military inmates were taught to train service dogs for disabled veterans. 1990 to 1993.
Now....I am disabled. I have Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes and some hearing/vision loss.
My service dogs have always been rotties. I have owned and bred rotties since 1982.
My dogs are trained to pick dimes up off the floor(ie, directed retrieve) turn on/off lights, get a beer from the fridge(yes it's a task), get my gun for me(yes, I own guns), pull a wheelchair, alert to my low blood sugars, detect bombs(not a service dog task), do guide dog work and alert me to sounds I cannot hear
Now, all that said....
Tremendous analysis.....Awesome the way you "broke it down" Thank you for your input and for your service
Owner of 2 Rottweilers.... they're the BEST!!!
This was a really great video. Very professional. Very informative. The presenter also speaks clear and concisely.
I have had several breeds before. But, none as kind, intelligent and calm as a rottweiler.
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
my channel picture shows our late rotti Ina.

Once again sir you produced a superb video! And it's surprising that some people will say "It's just a Dog". smh
This dog is even more of a beast in person. And his head is HUGE. This video doesn't do his physical attributes justice!
Thanks for all the great videos!! I'm currently trying to decide on my next dog Corso, Bullmastiff, or Rottweiler. You really help with useful information 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
cracking video good genetics consistent training and properly developed Rottie.Awsome!!!!!
this guy is very intelligent trainer wish he was in my area very well spoken and understand and explains the breed to a tee
I understand exactly where your coming from our Rocky is the same 10 stone of power but when the grandchildren come to visit he follows the little one like a shadow, very protective of kids, he just loves them, and he even sulks when they go home.
5 months old - any loud noise - dives between my legs to protect me - basic rule - soo loyal it’s very rewarding

😉
You likes that chocolate ❤️
You compared a black man to a dog. Becky take your white pride and sit in a fucking corner
SUPER CLIP /ROTTWEILER /GREAT TRAINER **KHARI LEE **THANKS FOR SHARE THE BEST DOG BREED EVER **THE ROTTWEILER !!

GREAT CLIP ,GREAT ROTTEILER/THE BEST DOG BREED EVER / THANKS TO GREAT KHARI LEE AND YOU =DOC T.V !!!
What a beautiful dog!!
Thank you for this I have a Rottweiler and I want some work put on mine 🤗
If you planning on owning this dog, it’s best you take them out all the time to let them meet people while puppies and other dogs. I’d say Puppy Preschool is a must. If they aren’t social while puppies, they become monsters. They will love you, but will not accept anyone else. Make sure you are up to the task of training all the time if you get this gorgeous dog. Very loyal and social with all types of people and animals if raised correctly.
THE BEST DOG BREED EVER /UNDISPUTED =THE ROTTWEILER !!THANK YOU DOG T.V AND THANKS TO MY DEAR FRIEND KHARI LEE AND OSKAR !!

The best dog👏👏👏
My dad he had a Rottweiler mix back in the day named Buck 😢💔
Croatia 🇭🇷
Sardinia,,, the home of Franco Columbo, possibly the strongest body builder ever. Still looks good and strong untile today.
GREAT KHARI LEE , I LOVE THE MA/FRIEND =ONA OF THE BEST DOG TRIANERS I EVER SAW !!!
I'd like to know where to get in touch with this Trainer
Absolutelly right.
Thank You mister for Your great description of rottweilers.
How much does he charge for training?
I thought for sure they were going to show Oskar working... All I seen was Oskar playing...
Just in the way that Oscar look up at his Master and walk beside him , that said it all , this Rott will do what ever his Master required of him , this take lots of baby /teenager training and tons of communication day after day ,now you have a trained rott .
Great Info. Can you provide contact information on the trainer?
Brother Eli I was waiting on his info too!!!
